There are some lovely people in this country
Park Life replied to Kevin S. Assilleekunt's topic in General Chat
Tbf to the white working class they have had nearly all their tools of trade taken away from them over the last two decades. Cheap immigrant labour (latest from Poland). No smoking in pubs (7 quid a packet). Their cultural identity and locus (bonded often by location and generational memories) more or less gone. The decimation of factories and engineering and so on... Poor education and lack of funding for the bottom rung of education (not like the 70's and 80's when families on low income would get grants all over the place).. Crap telly. The Labour party moving to the center. Just saying like. -

Those places are crawling with Jade Goody's (gawd rest 'er soww), and for every Blackheath and Richmond there are 10 Lewisham's, Penge's and Bromley's. Awful shitholes. Yup. South London is scarier than North London now and that's saying summat. Is it Penge that's full of Millwall can't remember? parky, you're wrong about peckham. the dodgy estates around queens road aside, peckham is a quality area. bellenden road, peckham rye and nunhead, all really nice. you only have to look at the house prices. you won't get a three bed terrace around peckhan rye for less than 500k. penge is a hole mind, i'll give you that as is bermondsey, home of millwall fc. It's been a while since I've been in Peckham tbf. Probs been colonised by Rupert and Fifi since. Yeah Bermondsey and Mile end have that background vibration of menace where you check the exists before you down the first pint. -

Wouldn't get that sort of thing in Leatherhead man. Best places for that kind of thing are the edges of London like Croydon and Streatham and Peckham (which is full of nutters). Nigafrica could catch on. -
Hope they get some foreign madman with slick suits and little English.

MIght be worth checking the odds on their relegation...

Seems to me his career is riddled with sweet deals from the Govt.

Spent a lot of money on nonsense at Villa and they just ran out of cash in the end and he left.

He's always said stuff like this though hasn't he?

Eh? Wasnt our average points to game ratio pretty much the same after january? Pardew had a slightly better points to games ratio than Hughton and I don't think Carroll played many games for him. 3 possibly? In hindsight is that a negative a positive. The best form of Carroll's career coincided with Hughton managing him, that's another way of looking at it. When you going back to NO anyway? I'm not, I've been banned for hurting Dave's feelings. You could say Hughton got the best out of Nolan too as his goal tally went to shit after he left, more likely to be how successful the long ball stuff was with Carroll in the side. How come you're not on the banlist Baggy? -
Actually looking for accountability from millionaires like Osbourne and so on is laughable. Their directorships when they leave office will depend on how much they fucked everybody over for the benefit of a handful of companies and interested parties.

He was manager of Wales. Bread of Heaven is basically the unofficial Welsh anthem. The fans on Saturday couldn't sing the official national anthem Land of my Fathers (as it's in Welsh). Seems like a nice attempt from the club tbh. Seems like an attempt from J69 to have a point of view when he hasn't got one for me. I think Bread of Heaven is the perfect gesture. He was a proud Welshman, and it'll bring emotions to the fore. I was waiting for your dig. God forbid I should have an opinion on something. There seems to be some unwritten rule that because we are talking about someone's death we must not question anything, ever. I didnt realise it was that popular in Wales so that probably explains it. You never seen Wales at home in the rugby? All these big 18st ginger people get up and sing it like they mean it. Quite moving really, the Welsh might be shite at most things but they sing better than we do. Different race innit. -
People have been made pudgy and weak (inc me) by design.

The black Obertan.

Tbf he ain't bad at the ole psychological warfare.

Yeah they said it was fine. Looked like a wild swipe to me that could have caught Collo anywhere. Lawro's hair distracted me from most of the comments mind.

I have Krul as 4/5 best PL keeper this season. His push for the No.1 jersey is fully vindicated. Great shot stopper and instictive. Will be Hollands no.1 for years to come.

I want to see him continue in the team when we get back to playing the lesser teams. He has been over-hyped a tad but the "feeling his way back" line will only last so long imo - there have been glimpses to whet the appetite but I want more. He hasn't been within 30 yards of goal with the ball at his left foot in a yard or two of space in either of the last two games. His ability to strike a ball is exceptional so I hope he finds that space in the games we have coming up. I agree with Parky, he needs 6 or 7 starts before we will really see his ability. He'll find space against the lesser teams. He cracked a good shot off during one of his sub appearances. People were slating Ba during his initial run of games, saying he was no better than Shola. 6/7 starts is spot on. ....and his two matches back have been against the top 2 sides away from home. There will be more space and time and positive posession when we get amongst the lesser lights again.

Fergie already knows they've lost the league and every falter like today is becoming harder to bear. They need to really sort out their central midfield.
