Watching 'The ides of March' tonight. Need to catch up on Moneyball, Girl with the dragon tatoo, 13 assasins and 3/4 others. The remake of 'The Thing' was a little dissapointing as was the Rise of the Apes...Two I was looking forward to. Of the ridiculous budget variety...Thor was alright if you can get past the cheesy schlock and relentless cgi. You can find Headhunters at the usual sources now with decent srt. subs.

I was dissapointed with Melancholia and to an extent TOL but the sheer bravura of TOL made me go back and watch it again. There's that whole universal womb section and the boiling lava and so on...that is hynotic and really bends what a narrative film can be.

It's all water.

This. We've played Man C, Man U and Chelsea in the last three games and he's contributed in two of the three. And he's not fit. This is one player we really need to stick with untill he is fully recovered psychologically and phsically. It's been a while since we've had such a pure footballer.

Germany v Spain is the final that would be fitting. Big, strong, healthy ubermensch running around a lot and getting stuck into the gypsy-moor-munchkins.

Think this is the tournament Spain will get sussed. Lot of the international managers have been watching their vids cooking up plans to knack them I reckons...A big healthy and energetic side like Germany will get amongst them this time. France are the dark horses and will have a lot of making up to do... Germany are overrated by two astonishingly bizarre games against England and Argentina. If they played that sequence of games twice in a row again they'd get results as good as that one in 10000. They've got some decent young players, but they're light years behind Spain in my view, same with Holland, there's never been such a gulf between best and second best, I think FIFA have it right with their rankings though, and we're probably joint 4th in Europe with France. Outside of that you have Portugal, then the rest just genuinely aren't even worth mentioning, although Ukraine could get quite far with home support and a few quality players. Argentina were completely destroyed in that game tbf...I had to sit through it in the bar and support them for the crack.. I take your point Germany perhaps aren't quite ready. I really want to see someone get hold of Spain irrational though that might sound.
