Don't think Arsenal will struggle once they start gelling. Spurs and Liv are there for the taking this year. Both managers could be out by Xmas and I'm serious. The right forward side of all those sides are still wildly inconsistant - Lennon, Wallcott, Gervinho, Borini are all essentially 1 in 4 game merchants. Gervinho as many noticed last year is total poop.

Think Stevie makes a good point that I hadn't considered ie the feel good factor around the squad. As supporters we felt low after the window shut but I hand't considered the implications on the first team (the idea that the club was setting a benchmark to compete after the bridgehead of last year). As I say Pardew remains cloaked deep in federation space.

It's clear now that the price was more important rather than the postion sensitive aspect of the deal. For whatever reason it wasn't deemed mission critical. Perhaps when Kirk and the crew have their Chinese parliament it was decided that as Anita can play both full back positions adequately it wasn't a massive risk. Just conjecture of course. I personally think we were seriously in for him but ONLY at the price we evaluated anything too far from that and Wilson would suffice for now. We've already burned Lille with the Cabaye steal and I think they didn't want to play fluffer again therefore stuck to their valuation around 6.3 to 7m euro. It hasn't been talked about much but I did read a couple of times that they wanted a sell on clause (again with the hindsight of the Cabaye deal - he's clearly now worth 15m +) to cover their backs. Sell on clause would effect our profitability on player turnaround. Obvioulsy this is conjecture but I had the feeling they didn't want to get ripped again.

Think this whole debate is actually wether the descision makers really think that it's critical we need specialist fullbacks or not. The tight percentage football we played for the vast maj of last season doesn't really require fluid and comfortable fullbacks. More oft than not 6 def (4+2 covering) is a system that imo Pards holds faith with and mostly delivered for us last year. The midfield doesn't really go over the half way line much apart from Hatem (you very rarely see Cabaye or Tiote in or around the box). We tend to hit early balls quite quickly in the first posession phase. Summink to think about anyway.

Pardew like a Klingon warbird remains fully cloaked in enemy space. We won't see any weapons blink till the Jan window.

PR scam to rope in the gullible public. Andrew managed to spend £236,088 on foreign tours for UK Trade and Industry, even after stepping down as its Special Representative in July. This includes £19,987 in October last year on scheduled flights to and from the Far East and a further £72,250 on a private jet for the same tour which took in China, Hong Kong and Malaysia – £92,237 in total.

Tom Yum is ace. Normally just use the paste tho and jazz it up with corriander, lemongrass and garlic etc..Kiffir (lime leaves) you can get in jars now in the Thai supermarket.

As long as it doesn't mess with the prediction league updates we don't care Antoine.

As I said earlier I really believe Tiote is a massive miss when he doesn't play. Not only does he get around his zone quick he puts a bit of fear out there which causes mistakes.

Or is it the conviction rates in Norway??? Well that would open up the can of worms.
-
15,940 rapes in year to March 2011 12% classed as no crime 24% of all cases lead to conviction or caution Proportion of convictions in cases that go to court is rising - up from 58% in 2009 to 71% in 2011 Not broken down by ethnicity from the places I've looked. Maybe here At present, the closest we have to a national estimate comes from CEOP's 2011 scoping study into "localised grooming", roughly synonymous with on-street grooming. Response rates to the researchers request for data from police, children's services and the third sector, were low. Based on these patchy data, CEOP suggest there are over 2,000 "potential offenders" in the UK. Most of these, however, will never have been formally identified, let alone arrested, charged or prosecuted. Ethnicity data were available for just one-third. Of these, 49% were white and 46% Asian: the proportion of Pakistani Asians remains unknown. However, in a country where Asians constitute 7% of the general population, this is a striking figure. http://www.guardian....street-grooming There are about two million muslims in the UK.

No I'm showing you that these things aren't clear cut and you'd be better served not making bogus pseudo-religious and racist stereotype attacks. Immigration IS challenging nobody is denying that. There are anomalies in the data but as this debate of recent immigration into Scandanavia is so fresh we won't really be able to understand what's going on just yet, nevermind stigmatise a whole community. There's something wrong with these figures from Norway as the UK or France hasn't experienced anything like it from our Muslim communities....What we need to find out is what that is... Btw ex-Mrs P was an immigration/asylum barrister dealing with Bosnia and so on...I know the territory.
-
UK, Germany and France have had the same levels of massive Islamic immigration why are their rape statistics miles off the Norweigan and Swedish ones then??
-
Well I have. The highest proportion of rape in Norway is domestic and always has been. See above. What the fuck are you lot upto?? One in ten ffs!! I thought Norway was a clean thinkin right wing Christian country. Statistically SAFER ON THE STREETS.

"One in 10 Norwegian women over the age of 15 has been raped, according to the country’s largest shelter organization, the Secretariat of the Shelter Movement. But at least 80 percent of these cases are never brought to official attention and only 10 percent of those that are end in a conviction, the Justice Ministry says. Nowhere is this taboo more stubborn than in the family home, long considered off-limits for law enforcement and the state. “The statistics tell us that the safest place for women is outside, on the street — most rapes happen at home,” said Tove Smaadahl, general manager of the Shelter Movement. In a 2005 survey by the Norwegian Institute for Urban and Regional Research, 9 percent of female respondents in a relationship reported experiencing sexual assault." N.Y. Domestic Rape has always been high in Norway yes?
-
He doesn't believe that he thinks it's either in the dna or muslims are evil.
-
We are talking about the recent immigration from war torn Bosnia, Serbia and other traumatised at risk environments right? Take a look at the Serbian armies (white/wierd christianity) rape record in Bosnia (muslim) fella. As I say it isn't simple and needs understanding and analyising that's how society develops. I don't think it's helped by the monthly stealth attacks on immigration by the Norweigan media either. I don't understand how a fully redneck and right wing country like Norway got mixed up with immigration anyway? Leave it to the civilised world.
-
I was agreeing with your assertions reg the data you donkey. But unlike you I don't just write if off as an 'immigrant crime wave'. The data is so new papers are still being written and analysed. I'd rather wait and see what the experts have to say. Rape in Norway and Sweden has always been high yes? Both countries have a history of intolerance and generally right wing sympathies..Look at the beatings of Somali's and Jews in Sweden as a a case in point.
-
Having lived in France and Germany and generally been around a bit (Finland, Italy, Sweden) I'd say the UK is the least racist by a mile. It takes time for the host community to re-configure outside of race and nationalistic lines: We've had about a 50 years head start. Rape stats in Sweded are similar to Norway btw with a high proportion commited by recent immigrants iirc. Think it's about 4 to 1 in Sweden (immigrants over-represented). But there are deeper reasons for this than just 'evil' foreigners and so on...It will even out after a decade or two, especially as 2nd and 3rd generations are added to the data.

If the Hapsburgs in their day had a forum this would be it.

We're not quite the same without Tiote's harrying and muscular presence in midfield. One of the strikers needs to be dropped. I don't even think Ba as the withdrawn forward is ideal as he has little pace and isn't so creative (he's a born insitinctive finisher). I'd like to see Marveux get some starts and Obertan more match time (think he's imporved a bit in all honesty).
-
You've lost your right wing cover Leazes. Throwing LBT into the mix with 'that thread' was good thinking...Keep on your toes.
-
I'd play him at left back and Santon at RB, especially at home. Try it now with the injuries. He's played RB for Argentina.
