All he did was invent an entity to carry the debt and then leant the entity money to do so. The debt is technically still there but has been removed from our direct outgoings ie interest payments. It's a fairly normal and common sense strategy and has relieved the club (indirectly) of financial pressure from institutions. "NESV wishes to extend its sincere gratitude to the Board of Liverpool FC for their diligence and their efforts on behalf of the Club and its supporters. The transaction values the Club at £300m and eliminates all of the acquisition debt placed on LFC by its previous owners, reducing the Club's debt servicing obligations from £25m-£30m a year to £2m-£3m. IMO Nesv have made a tactical error here dropping all the money upfront and we see this now with the tightening of purse strings. Clearly the obligations under H&G was too high but halving that would have cleverer than dropping cash in a big chunk to wipe it out. Debt can be used as a bargaining tool in future financial arrangements ie servicing costs and so on...Part debt part loan is more attractive to a bank as they make more cash which makes them more flexible with regard to giving you MORE MONEY. It's refreshing that our club is being run as a 'tight ship' now, on the other hand I'd say MA is lowballing the clubs medium to long term future. It's not a corner shop and earning potential for a well oiled and competitive PL outfit means there is no real glass ceiling to turnover. ALL business is built on debt. Obviously ours was getting out of hand, but I'd like to see more investment in the near future now that the model is stabalised.

The holding company holds the debt. http://swissramble.b...-black-and.html Ashley has earmarked it as a 'loan'. He would expect this back as part of a sale. MULTI-MILLION-POUND debts at Newcastle United have been wiped clean by owner Mike Ashley after he lent the club £140m in his first five years on Tyneside, it was revealed yesterday. Accounts filed by the St James’ Park club showed that last year the Tyneside team finished the financial year with an operating profit of £13.3m. Read More http://www.journalli.../#ixzz27lWZ3Ceq It's a straight forward accounting tool. Benefit: We don't pay silly interest to banks anymore like Liv, Everton and ManU. He isn't in a postion yet to take chunks out of the 'loan'/debt but might be in a few years. On the other hand it's about 8% of his overall wealth and not really something he is losing sleep over.

http://www.canalplus...ieur-sport.html 2.25 Prefered taking time at Clairfontaine clinic to prepare for the new season. 10.46 onwards says there was interest from ManU and others when he signed for us...Then says Spurs wanted him as the Modric replacement.. Pards says he is the tempo and intelligence of the side... Various french talking heads say he's developed technically and physically since he's been in England. At 19.00 Pards says he's a future cap of the side. Is mates with the French speaking crew and Hatem speaks highly of him..

Cocteau Twins sounded infinitely better on record. The cd's never did justice to their complex sound.

It's the kind of tactical genius that gets you 8 year deals. -
Cameron didn't know what Magna Carta meant on Letterman. Thought he went to Eaton the dop. Fuck me.

Not sure what the angle is here. Still got three years left on the old one. -
All this fiddling around with trinkets and bones as some sort of divination of our past is rife with a deep seated need to make sense of something we needn't fear. Man is limitless and boundless in his nature and there is no measurment for that.

Think he's a decent prospect but not sure if under our system he can slot in. Santon does the leftwingery when we counter and Guti covers the space behind is the way we play atm. He isn't imo big enough to be a safe left back and his allround game isn't at the level where he can play left midfield and cover when we lose the ball. Needs to bulk up. Seems like a decent impact sub for the last 10-15 min is where his game is right now. It was interesting how confident Tavernier looked in both full back positions and I'd put him ahead of Wilson at RB. Think Vuckic is ahead of both Gosling and Obertan. It looks like there is enough about his game to be a steady fringe player and there is a hint he can come up one more level which the other two never will. -

It's amazing the lengths Squidhead will go to so he doesn't have to take on his man. Tav put more and better crosses in when he swapped over. -
