  1. Debuchy will need a dozen or so games before he starts to really play.
  2. 3-2 Cisse hatrick. Ba gets 2 for them but overshadowed. It's universal karma this game. Would help if Mata's knock keeps him out. They've got players away at the ACN as well. Rafa is all over the place with this lot. Absolutely sure we'll win this and away at Spurs - AVB is the most unfootball manager in football. An easily panicked nail biting ginge clown. Both fatty and skinny's days are numbered in football management.
  3. Excellent first half, a little aided by the fact they had a hollow midfield and what looked like 5 at the back and left Aggy out. Second half they remedied all of that and went for it and on another night might have got something. Our poise and tempo in the first half was superb with nearly everybody doing good things - Collo was immense at the back and Gouffran looked lively and full of running upfront - giving us many options. Cabaye has come back like a man on a mission till his legs gave out around the 70min. Sissoko for his first PL game, looked confident and assured and did everything that was asked of him inc setting up a great goal. We really did panick at 1-2 but a lot of that I put down to nerves and a side that has forgotten how to win away at home. Pards should have swapped Guti for Anita and left it at that imo, but he perhaps had a better idea how tired the 2 French lads were. Gouffran and Sissoko are already looking like stone cold bargains.
  4. Showed it all tonight. Strong, good movement, bit of tackling and laying on a goal. Box to box.
  5. The things we used to cook up for those articles.
  6. Django Unchained 4/10 Some enjoyable humour and some good scripted set ups. Ultimately it's as flimsy as a carry on film.
  7. So what about the "realist" argument: torture has always existed, so is it not better to at least talk publicly about it? This, exactly, is the problem. If torture was always going on, why are those in power now telling us openly about it? There is only one answer: to normalise it, to lower our ethical standards. Torture saves lives? Maybe, but for sure it loses souls – and its most obscene justification is to claim that a true hero is ready to forsake his or her soul to save the lives of his or her countrymen. The normalisation of torture in Zero Dark Thirty is a sign of the moral vacuum we are gradually approaching. If there is any doubt about this, try to imagine a major Hollywood film depicting torture in a similar way 20 years ago. It is unthinkable." http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2013/jan/25/zero-dark-thirty-normalises-torture-unjustifiable

This chorizo oil thing is genius.
  9. How many years are you keeping this up for exactly? Shall I put some milk and cookies out?
  10. Wenger whining saying it's unfair that we're signing so many players.

    That deli looks enchanting.
  12. Will move tomorrow. NUFC have reached an agreement with Tolouse.. http://www.rmcsport.fr/editorial/341962/toulouse-mou-sissoko-a-newcastle-vendredi/
  13. Shalke, HSV and Dortmunds commercial compared to tv revenue (compared to us) is eye watering.
  14. Couple of weeks off to go and sort his head out.

  16. If the Pakistanis knew they were coming they would have been toast.
  17. America doesn't fight countries that can defend themselves.
  18. Haven't seen it but if this is the 'official story' and she had official advisors and help from the army etc...Then the whole thing will be skewed...Of course it will. Hollywood in these areas operates as a myth maker and a revisionist right back from the Rambo days - it trivialises slaughter and centralises the white characters right to meat out justice.
