Obama once again showing America is Israel's lapdog.
Park Life replied to Park Life's topic in General Chat
The Western leaders live in fear from pro-Israel lobbies which are well funded and entrenched within the political classes of the U.K. and the U.S. In depth article here https://www.opendemocracy.net/ourkingdom/tom-mills-hilary-aked-tom-griffin-david-miller/uk%E2%80%99s-pro-israel-lobby-in-context Funding for Conservative Friends of Israel was raised mainly by Michael Sacher, the man behind BIPAC.[22] Other major donors included the multi-millionaire business tycoons Trevor Chinn, Gerald Ronson and Cyril Stein.[23] Stein, founder of the gambling company Ladbrokes, was also a major supporter of the Jewish National Fund. Whilst the mainstream of British Jewry supported the ‘peace process’ in the 1990s, he funded a Jewish settlement in the West Bank.[24] Trevor Chinn inherited his substantial wealth from his father, who owned the car company Lex Services and was President of the Jewish National Fund of Britain[25] as well as joint vice president of the Joint Palestine Appeal.[26] Like Stein, Chinn was also a major donor to Labour Friends of Israel and both men used their influence there to try and block movements towards peace.[27] Gerald Ronson is a close friend of Chinn’s[28] and the founder of the Community Security Trust, an organisation which exists ostensibly to protect the Jewish community in the UK from anti-Semitic violence, but has been criticised for a lack of transparency and accountability and for including critics of Israel in its operational definition of antisemitism.[29] Ronson also founded its forerunner, the Group Relations Educational Trust, in 1978 with support from Marcus Sieff, the chairman of Marks & Spencer.[30]" I suppose we could boycott M&S and Ladbrokes. Given $98m so far to the pro-Israel super pac lobby... http://rightweb.irc-online.org/profile/adelson_sheldon "He's a Zionist/neocon/right-wing Israel hawk. Much of Adelson's political activity is devoted to boosting the right-wing Israeli line, both in Israel and the U.S. He donated a posh new headquarters to AIPAC, the Israel lobby in Washington, though he reportedly feuded with the organization over activities he saw as unduly pro-Palestinian. He has given $25 million to Yad Vashem, the Israeli Holocaust memorial organization, and $100 million to Birthright, the organization that takes young American Jews on free trips to Israel to bolster their loyalty to the Jewish state. Adelson opposes a two-state solution or any accommodation of Palestinians. When Gingrich recently stirred controversy by referring to the Palestinians as "an invented people," Adelson praised the remark to a Birthright group, according to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz. In Israel, Adelson started a free daily newspaper known for its relentless drumbeat of support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other right-wing politicians. The paper, Israel Hayom, has been called "the Fox News of Israel." Adelson's millions of dollars in contributions have purchased access to the highest reaches of the GOP -- during the Bush administration, for example, he hosted both President Bush and Vice President Cheney in his home -- and he has used it principally to push for a hard line on Israel. The peace plan 'ceasefire' was cooked up between Israel and Egypt with no input from Hamas so they has little choice but to decline it. It is important to note that last time there was a ceasefire Israel continued operations (lighter) for two weeks once the worlds eyes had turned away... -

Thought Aarons and Haidara worked very well down the left. Aarons and Perez need to be fast tracked both are very skilful players with good awareness. Keep Yanga and get rid of Taylor. Riviera, I know it's early days - but looks quite average. Took the goal well but didn't see anything resembling good movement or a first touch. Gouff got the biggest thanks from Pards cause he runs around everywhere. Collback tidy and has a good engine. -
Lordy !!!

Just another dopey muppet trying to sidle a telly career.

Ba's parting shot to the French media: "People don't want to pay the ticket to see the ball kicked from the back to the front".

Pretty much my stance.

Terrible news. R.I.P. G. Will always remember with a chuckle his long running defence of Milner on NO.
-
They got angry as soon as they realised he was going to run his contract down. Even if he turned up fit he's have been fucked around anyway.

Olympic sprinter down the middle.
-
Where will he play tho? We need a CD and a tier one striker. Crohn is still babbling about Remy and Lacazette (so they have no idea).
-
Would honestly rather have Berhahino for 5m. A lad on the way up with pace and a real desire to develop his game further.
-
This is total spin by the club to get him out and turn the support against him. Nowt wrong with him!

Really sorry to hear this awful news Stevie. Had a couple of friends when I was a school who had brain tumours (not sure about the medical details) but both died. One within months and one lived a couple of years. As is often strangely the case, they were both brilliant blokes, one really good at sport and the other fearless in all he did. But that was a few decades ago. These days it is entirely treatable (depending on variety) and it isn't unusual to be back to normal after a few months, like Gemmill said in his earlier post. Good luck and I hope everything turns out fine.

As Jacko said, "Good art never dies". He'll be back in France next year showing some of his old self...No doubt.

Think he'll get 12.

The Pardew signing.

I have no idea why Haidara is behind in the pecking order after Dummett. He has pace, a good tackle and a wonderful cross.

There are other factors here. Wenger only saw Cabaye as a back up player and refused to bid up and it was fortunate for us and Cabaye that PSG were under pressure to buy more French players and saw Cabaye as a quick fix...He wasn't an instant starter when he arrived. Historically players arriving in the PL from abroad take a season or so to play their best football and the elite clubs monitor such players. Us and those teams around us have become proving grounds of sorts for untried arrivals.
