The American revolution is close. A country with that much disparity between rich and poor and access to the basics can only go one way. The middle class has also shrunk by between 11 - 15% and it has the largest monetised prison population in the West. Key to revolutions isn't the ability to organise and mobilise it is the ability to fight back....And America has the most armed population on the planet - black and the white poor. No amount of militarised police can hold back a country of millions.

Not using a condom was the original complaint. These two airheads (one a kind of middle class, doo gooding, book reading - meddling hippie on the happy train) talked the other (celebrity cock crazy deluded pseudo Marxist and credit card addict) into making the authorities make Julian take a blood test in case he was carrying STD's . Sweden is a silly country full of airheads and green bending hippies run by dykes and people wearing Bjorn Borg underwear. You can't trust blond women. Sweden has the highest abortion rate in Scandinavia due to da youth not using condoms. http://www.vice.com/read/swedish-feminists-are-so-bored-theyre-telling-men-how-to-sit-on-the-bus

Lest we forget all the charges were dropped by the Swedes originally until American intervention and diplomatic pressure. No woman has accused him of rape btw...

Wasn't surprised he took up a post at their free-kick, the bonce blocks out the sun never mind making the goal smaller.

ISIS are funded by Qatar and Saudi. The core group were originally trained by the U.S./CIA/Turkey in Jordan...To keep the pressure on Assad. As the membership increased due to large sums of cash they went rogue as is often the case with these groups vis a vie Mujahadeen into Al Kidder. Those Toyota 'technicals' as they are known in the trade were shipped in via Turkey who also want Syria fucked up. Saddam went off reservation when he started selling oil in euros (this threatens the stability of the dollar).

Expectations and predictions for Season 2014/2015

I'm cautiously revising up to 8th for us. -
That was a good effort although I suspect that City never really reached for that 5th gear. Seeing as most of their creative stuff goes through Silva I'd have liked to seen him being closed down/hacked/career ender - early doors. The 3 in midfield were quite tidy especially Anita who never panics. Cabella showed a lot and against other sides will have create game winning situations. Janmaat fairly good display. Riviere looks a bit headless yet might be the type that gets on a goal run if he gets one or two at the start of the season. We were set up to keep the score down and he suffered for it. We still need a striker and a CB. If the Perez strike goes in anything could have happened as ManC were already thinking about their post match cuppa.

In Wolfsburg, Austria (3000m) it's raining and mist all over the place. Nice change from the heat of Croatia.

The BBC are pro-Israeli always have been. There are hundreds of examples even from ex-employees.. The fact there has been a decades long debate about it should tell you something. Pro-Israeli pressure groups and money slap any top tier media outlet down if there is even a hint of a properly contextualised criticism of Israel. The Guardian fiasco was the last one that comes to mind...CH4 got into hot water a few years back. They are all running scared of the Israeli lobby notwithstanding a lot of our politicians get money from the Israel lobby. On average 10 pro-Israel people get on the BBC compared to 2 giving the other view. There is data all over the place about this. ps It comes as no surprise that Javier Bardem and Cruz have started recanting their original stance in that letter. How long did they hold out? Two days? http://www.theguardian.com/film/2014/aug/01/javier-bardem-israel-palestine-gaza-penelope-cruz -

"A report on electronic intifada highlighted that in 2012, Raffi Berg, the new Middle East Editor of BBC, sent internal emails guiding his staff to write more favourably about Israel during its assault on Gaza in November 2012 which killed nearly 200 Palestinians. The report also accuses Berg of instructing writers to word stories in way that does not blame or “put undue emphasis” on Israel for attacks." A 2003 study by Matt Viser published in the International Journal of Press Politics found that the New York Times personalised Israeli deaths, largely ignored Palestinian deaths, and relied heavily on Israeli sources." http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/hundreds-protest-against-bbc-proisrael-bias-of-gaza-coverage-in-cities-across-the-uk-9609016.html The BBC has finally admitted that it breached its own impartiality guidelines when it presented a pro-Israel commentator as if he was neutral. The finding published yesterday by the BBC Trust, the highest level of complaints adjudication at the broadcaster, relates to appearances made by a commentator called Jonathan Sacerdoti during Israel’s "Operation Pillar of Cloud" bombing of Gaza in November 2012." Given that Sacerdoti appeared as a representative of the Zionist Federation on BBC Big Questions in November 2009, then on Sky News in June 2010 and, on the BBC again in September 2010, according to its own blog, it appears that he was in fact doing media work for the Zionist Federation for a period of at least 11 months. Sacerdoti was emailed via the contact form on his website but did not respond to questions. However, he previously told The Jewish Chronicle newspaper that he felt his comments were 'in keeping with the requirements of due impartiality'. While the ruling is centrally a damning indictment of journalistic standards in the BBC news room, Sacerdoti – who tried to remove evidence of his pro-Israel connections from the internet – does not come off well either." -

Thatcher and Reagan were the siren call for the beginnings of neo-liberalism and infact it synchronised with the movement of the means of production abroad ie China etc...And the first signs that the postwar boom and the balance between capital and state started to be eroded. Capitalism was in a quandary in the West in that expectations had become really high amongst the masses and they knew it could never be fulfilled and go on in that way...Capital started clawing back stuff an reductive war against the state by both the left (quietly) and the right (openly). http://www.salon.com/2013/03/09/the_world_according_to_milton_friedman_partner/ Capitalism indeed has no borders till we look at tariffs and legislation the oft used tools of the EU and the U.S. There has never been a free market. That's a myth. It was when the early EU and Delors courted the unions that a very pro-EU Thatcher started to change her mind...And consequently got wiped out. Thatcher might have started the process but Blair and the EU will finish it. The war is as much about identity as it is economic expansion. If you don't know who you are it becomes harder to find your enemy. My contention is that after the post war boom the left has been in bed with Capital as much as the right. As you said earlier in the thread there is no more left. Democracy has been a holding mechanism for Capitalism in so much as that it has never really been a threat to it. We are moving fast to a phase when that itself will be erased. They are preparing for the post-democratic era. Austerity is the stalking horse for it. -

Agreed. There are some occasional sops to a vague panseyesque notion of leftyism, but these are carefully packaged as emotional tracts rather than critique. The historical left put its hope in the hyper legislative machinery of the EU but too late realised it was there to protect big business. Less we forget it was a full on left wing conspiracy to flood the UK with cheap labour and undercut community identity (the greatest weapon against the common rights of the working class labour). This erased collective bargaining power and the sense of entitlement of indigenous workers who were wholly disenfranchised and cut adrift. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mz3N8vLYOWw -

Feminism from day one was a total invention of the rulers. They noticed women weren't paying tax. Once the breeding phase after the wars was over they started with getting women out the house, spinning slyly against family values and so on...They also noticed that women were frugal in the family setting and actually protected the family budget...There was a big switch from selling to men (the magpie in the nest attracted to shiny stuff) to selling to women (This continues unabated).
