The promotion of 'looking down on savages' wether it be in the Americas or Africa or India was a propoganda tool that served to legitamise wholesale looting and killing in those arenas. These are undisputed facts mon petie filou. Whichever way you look at it power promoted race superiority and religion and so on while it served their purposes. Of course when it didn't any longer it changed its tune. Your point about different groups being wary of each other by look, behaviour or colour is a defensive mechanism in so far as it served man and helped man survive thousands of years ago and I agree with that as it is valid, but this is light years away from the matter at hand...The manipulation of the modern psyche.

UKIP: Humans are like apes. Win.

For me the most interesting thing about the immigration debate is how power is positioning itself. Racism/fear of the other - was a tool of empire it isn't genetic it's learnt/conditioned behaviour. If power is making immigration/racism a cover issue than it is simply testing an emotional/irrational response which it has tested over time and works. But why? And why now?

Isn't it more that right and left are so blurred now that people are reaching out for anything that isn't that?

Doublethink.

You backed off too quick there. Up your game son.

The dichotomy here is that power tells us all to behave one way yet it behaves in a totally different way.

Really delicate through ball for the goal. Hasn't got the raw pace and power of Townsend but twice the football brain.

As PL says not really proper elite. Plus not suited to the hustle and bustle of the PL what with his stamina and fitness issues. Just vanishes in 2nd halves.

If we do some business in Jan the normal 4th hoverers are currently struggling. /deluded

Funny watching the Liblabcon continue to try and hit UKIP on immigration without the first clue that it just gains them more votes.

Just wondering if there is enough material here for one of those Panorama investigations.

Has a flair for buying the wrong players, Wellbeck being the latest example of a cheaper option (his prefered route). Sanchez is the only elite player he's splashed on for quite some time.

SS strikes again. As Stevie said in the other thread when he pushes foward and fancies it he's a handful and his finishing is not as wayward as it used to be either. No better sight than him flying forward scattering midfielders and defenders in his wake. This was one of those that could have got away from us - there were a few nervy moments at the back inc Krul's haphazard swipes at the ball otherwise known as clearances. Ayoze very lively and approaches the games so casually now with that much confidence he'll be frightening in a couple of seasons. It was clear to see how much we missed the pace of Aarons and Bulbhead...The midfield play rotation was slower than in recent games and moves forward tentative although not without thought and Haidara judged his runs and made himself available in an intelligent manner now he's reigned in some of his mad gallops. The clear and present danger to Pards job has shaken him up and he's let go some of his nonsense and although was forced to play youth a few weeks back, it must be said he's harnessed it well. But he must continue with 2 of Arrons, Ameobi, Bulbhead starting when all are fit. Not that concerned if Cabella doesn't start for now as he isn't quite there yet...Looked a tiny bit chunkier today.

Chelsea, Liv and AC Milano are all reported to be watching him, but strangely we have been in there for months.

Mad shit happens in Jan at this club.

Really think we should get Berahino before his price goes galaxy.

Those islands were cut off from the mainstream human race aggregates for a long time.

Lot of talk that we're in for a striker.

But classier yeah? Think terracota, think locally sourced wines and produce, think a light wind through the trees, think Pucinni and Caravaggio.

If Aarons and Collo were playing this would have been routine.

Fist in a full on bid to dominate Newcastle.

His record is as bad or if not worse than Bush. Re-hired all the Bush finance and economic gurus for a start.
