Labour have to go back to basics and build around center-left policies. There is a huge vacuum where old Labour used to exist. They have to be honest and say outright that they are going to interfere with the kind of state sponsored Capitalism that is failing all over the world...A Capitalism that is reeling from debt crisis to debt crisis with no idea how to solve it. They've thrown money at it and they have frozen interest rates but none of these things have made any difference...Western economies are carrying huge tranches of debt to GDP. If Labour tell people what has really happened, that the debt is because business has been taxed less and less - from 1.5 pounds against 1 pound per person in the 70's to 30p now against one pound per person that accounts for most of this debt. We are borrowing money from the very same businesses that are avoiding tax. Tax them instead of borrowing from them. Something is going to give sooner or later because soverign states are basically destroying their fabric at the behest of multinationals and banks. Europe is moving to the left now. Look at the EU giving China favored trading partner status (MFN). How is this protecting jobs in the EU? It's simple things like this that shows the EU is part of the control fabric of Globalisation...Protecting Western investments in the East in favour of jobs in the West. I predict Spain will default on its 1.7 trillion debt and there isn't enough money in the whole EU to anything about that. The next crisis will wipe out middle England and their coveted house prices and a couple of dozen banks around Europe and then the game will be on because the UK relies so heavily on the financial sector...It will basically be Armageddon. These are the things Labour need to talk about.

This is the start of a process that will see a real left wing alternative emerge to Labour (Tory Lite). It's happening all over Europe and even America (off all places). http://www.pbs.org/newshour/making-sense/seattles-socialist-councilwoman-on-why-capitalism-offers-nothing-for-young-people/ http://www.democracynow.org/2014/6/5/seattle_s_socialist_city_council_member

There is some blame to former Greek Govt...But the vast maj of the blame lies with the EU and especially Germany. There are fundamental problems with Capitalism which has impacted on Greece....Long story... This will be the third time the Germans have managed to destroy Europe. People must understand Germans aren't fit human beings to have any kind of power.

There should be a global tax aimed at multi-nationals (wherever they are based) and this money should be collected and redistributed to struggling countries and regions.

There will be a year or two of pain but they should be able to start getting better after that. 1.Print loads of drachma. 2.Put a 20% surcharge on German products. 3.Take Germany to court over Nazi money. 4.Give Russia a naval base. 5.Get money from a BRICS development fund. 6.Give China a naval base. 7.Freeze all Greek elite funds and use for the people. 8.Cancel all debt as odious. 9.Hit the beach.

They all moved manufacturing to the East in the 80's and early 90's and we're still dealing with the fallout from that. When Germany continued subsidizing her car industry and shipbuilding we let it go to wrack and ruin as well even tho we built some of the best cars and ships in the world...The political class oversaw that (both sides) and they got their peerages, directorships and places in the Lords in return. I honestly don't know what people expect from politics these days.

Frozen grapes in wine. I'll never get over that.

One of the problems with 'democracy' is that old people vote much more than young ones and they scare easily and as they get older become Conservative with a small c. The other problem is that the elite own the media which removes any semblance of balance or the ability of folk to make their minds up with all the facts. It all goes back to the deal Thatcher made with the Murdoch press. The Greek elite (philosophers, drunks and kiddie fiddlers) knew what they were doing when they invented the demos and the Romans followed on with their bread and circus angle. http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2015/apr/28/how-margaret-thatcher-and-rupert-murdoch-made-secret-deal "Times Newspapers had long cherished their independence. In 1966, when the Times was in financial difficulty, the new owner who came to the rescue, Lord Roy Thomson of Fleet, promised to sustain it as an independent non-partisan newspaper – precisely how he had conducted the profitable Sunday Times. Murdoch was able to acquire both publications in 1981 only because he began making solemn pledges that he would maintain the tradition of independence. He broke every one of those promises in the first years. His breach of the undertakings freely made for Times Newspapers was a marked contrast with the independent journalism we at the Sunday Times (and William Rees-Mogg at the Times) had enjoyed under the principled ownership of the Thomson family. Thatcher was a vital force in reviving British competitiveness, but she abetted a concentration of press power that became increasingly arrogant and careless of human dignity in ways that would have appalled her, had she remained in good health long enough to understand what her actions had wrought.'

I've found with working class Tories is that they've convinced themselves they've got some angle...That those around them just can't see it. Or sometimes it's just things passed down from the father.
