Dont think I agree with the bit in bold. IMO, signing Aliadiere on a loan deal would be a very clever move considering our situation right now. a.) He wouldn't cost much. Don't think his wages are in the Ronaldo/Viduka-league. b.) He's eager to prove his ability to play PL-football. c.) We've got limited funds - hence the talk about loan deals. d.) It would allow us to focus our spending on our major weakness - the defence, especially LB. e.) We don't know if Owen will ever be the same as before the injury. I'm all for it.
