  1. Part of the problem is the lucrative contracts some of these wasters are on. But how do you stop that?
  2. As a club I don't think you can fault the way they are being run off the field, I personally don't rate Jol that highly as a coach but even if they replace him they will still have a solid structure to build on which was put together by a DOF, even the shit they have signed they've sold on at a profit. Funnily enough Leazes slags off the idea of a Director of Football like Spurs have but then talks about how much he admires Arsene Wenger and his youth policy, not realising it's the same person that scouted before bring to Wenger's attention these young players Arsenal have brought through recently. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damien_Comolli Damien Comolli joined Tottenham Hotspur FC in September 2005 as sporting director, with overall responsibility for the medical, academy, scouting and club secretarial departments, replacing the outgoing Frank Arnesen. He was born in Beziers, France and played as a youth team player at Monaco. In 1992 he began a successful three-year coaching job with Monaco where he looked after the club’s Under-16 squads and won the state championship at that level. Comolli completed a law degree in 1995 and gained his French coaching licence. He then spent seven seasons with Arsenal as European scout and is credited with the discovery of several of Arsenal's youngsters, including Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue and played a major role in signing Thiery Henry and Robert Pires. When he was technical director of AS Saint-Étienne, the club was successful, finishing sixth in the league and reaching the semi-finals of the French Cup. During his time there he also oversaw a number of important first team signings and developed partnerships with junior and amateur clubs, locally, nationally and internationally. He speaks fluent English, Spanish, and French. Still, I'm sure Kenneth Shepherd can do a better job for us... Spurs are very organised behind the scenes now and it will start to bear fruit in the medium term.
  3. It doesn't count. I want to see limbs flying and a good spatter pattern tbh. You're quite right, factually it is still a bomb.
  4. Doesn't sound like much of 'a bomb'.
  5. Good news. I suspect the competition has helped sharpen our apetities.
  6. As Renton once said, he's a rarity, a liberal conservative.
  7. Another reason the Nobby thing has worked so well is cause he is the only one who can be relied on to play a ball out of the back along the ground.
  8. What you grinning at 'backpeddlar'?
  9. Eh? Emre: "It's my accent your honour when I say Fcuk off you black cnut it somehow sounds clownly, no offence intended".
  10. ......you mean the bits of culture it didn't plunder from other countries? Slightly off topic but it amuses me how it's okay for Scotland to be patriotic, Wales, any other country but if you say I'm proud to be English it's seen that you're probably racist and you have to have everyone else's cultures forced down your neck or risk being racist about that as well. I'm just curious really but I wonder how many English designed, Church of England churches have been built in countries like Pakistan? It's interesting that this country is apparently based on racism but yet some would have you believe others are not. Try India it's full of English, French and Italian churches. With huge congragartions of Catholics etc.. One of the main reasons why England is so economically strong is due to our immigration policy. Many of the companies that contribute to this started in the 80's and 90's and are run by immigrants of various backgrounds.
  11. People love to throw whitey and his feelings into this equation. I wonder why? perhaps because the phrase 'justice is blind' is supposedly one of the marks of a civilised society? I've heard it all now!! Whitey wants justice. Oh dear. Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite I wonder how that translates in a French Algerian dialect?

  15. Of course 'the english' have historically been weighed down by racism. Jesus Christos.
  16. The point is whether or not the comments were racist. Well IMHO calling someone a Negro out of anger is racist. It is a comment meant to hurt. It's not nigger, though, which has definite negative connotation. It'd be the difference between Pakistani and Paki, I guess. So where is Negro then. I know calling someone a Pakistani is saying where they come from. How does that equate to Negro? Negro essentially means the same as black. It's in no way derogatory. Paki means someone from pakistan so I am assuming you dont think that is racist either? Negro is neither Turkish nor English for black so why use it. It was a stattement based on someones race intended to cause emotional distress. Can you prove that? Besides, calling a Scottish person a Scot isn't racist so how is calling some from Pakistan a Paki? Just an excuse for people to whinge or get sympathy imo. What about calling a Welsh person Taff? Or an Irishman Paddy? I don't see these folks getting a stress on about it. The problem is all the lefty do-gooders that jump on the bandwagon to say "Oh you can't say that about this person it'll offend them" when the actual people involved don't give a sh*t. The leftys just wind people up and cause the conflict. Is this a serious question? The term 'Paki' has well documented racist undertones and cultural and historical baggage in England going back to the early 80's and the rise of the NF. People love to get this mixed up with word usage in the context of the Scots or the Welsh and that is really either the height of stupidity or mischivious ignorance of cultural 'weighting' of the terms. This has nothing to do with left wing doo-gooders or Guardian readers but a lot more to do with having shit put through your letterbox or your children having to run home from school for fear of 'Paki-bashing'.

I know calling someone a Pakistani is saying where they come from. How does that equate to Negro? Unfortunately this is looking more cut and dried by the day. Referring to someones racial or ethnic background in the heat of battle whatever the intention can only be really taken one way by the recipient. It's a real shame as Emre was really starting to get his act together.
  18. They're main weakness is that now in no part of the park do they have a player who can impose thier will on the game. They basically miss Carrick who was a master for them at adjusting the tempo and choosing passes and King at the back who marshalled the def. Ghaly is a mediocre buy and not really better than Huddelstone (who is still 3 years away from really knowing what he should be doing). Their left side is the real weakness.
  19. I would have thought Jol is tactically superior. The problem he has is that a number of his players believe themselves to already be superstars.
  20. Duck and Cover! Random made-up stat attack! I think teachers have been emasculated because of the furor surrounding child abuse. I don't think thrashing them til they bleed is neccesarily the answer either. I notice how Rob has stopped blaming the teachers now though.... The threat of a good thrashing is normally enough. It is neccessary in some cases. Schools these days I suspect are too easy.
  21. There were many beatings to be had at my Catholic boarding school. I started enjoying it after a while.
  22. They have many more things right than we do. They are missing teeth upfront, I think Defoe has gone downhill since the Milan £20m links etc...They are missing key players and Lennon is has begun to believe his own press without having really done it this year. They will struggle till they get their left side sorted.
