  1. Seriously though, I'm falling asleep. "Possibility of relegation" vs. "Relegation battle" ffs. Fop man, have a word with yourself! What's the specific formula for "Relegation battle"? When does "Possibility of relegation" cross the threshold into "Relegation battle"? [Fop] "If "Relegation Battle" (RB) = Possibility of Relegation (PoR) squared divided by the number of games remaining, we can see that PoR is a key driver for RB but that PoR does not in and of itself necessitate concerns over RB. [/Fop]
  2. Fat Freddy in Neroesque delusions shocker.
  3. ...although I'm wary of the natrure of the loans that will have to be put in place..I must say if this is really how they are protraying it...It is some counterstrike.
  4. I think Roeder has very little reserves of inner strength you can see by his body language and his inability to inluence matches from the touchline. Without wanting to be alarmist he really is the worst person to have in charge if we get into a survival battle. And a survival battle it certainly will be. Our debt is running at £80m and we are losing money monthly...If we fall out of the PL that will be the end of us for a decade. Roeder needs to stop all this media leaked patter and roll his sleaves up. I am worried because the 'the players playing for their future' (his first strategy) hasn't worked and there are one or two good senior players who will be considering if they can really be arsed with all this in the summer. We are at THE crossroads all ths signs are there and this is no time to be blase. There I've said it.
  5. The thing is Dan two or three defeats in a row and anything could happen.....That is what worries me.
  6. Clearly no one here (because alarmingly Roeder probably gave the closest thing to a right answer there is). Don't let that stop the pointless whinging about it though. The admission that it doesn't matter what he says IS my point though. Is this an "I was right" post? My post was really an around about way of saying I can't be arsed to argue about it, I'll agree to differ or whatever. Fop, I think the general consensus is that we're all getting sick of his daily utterances and his uncanny knack of stating the obvious.
  7. ....Baggio is using it as a template for his new Houllier site iirc..
  8. Aye, pretty much sums the situation up. I really do dislike the bloke now though. After the summer transfer window I was pretty much out of goodwill for him. By the end of January, I'd just had more than enough of him, and with the stupid press comments coming in quicker than any decent results I like him less and less by the day. It's a media blitz!11
  9. Get our biggest blokes together have a few beers before kick off and on the whistle start a huge unprovoked fist fight.
  10. As is this place tbh. What is he supposed to say? "Ooo fuck we're in the shit now, I think we might be relegated......." Aye that would help. And where did I say he should say that? Anyway, people aren't stupid, they know the state the club is in and they know we aren't safe yet, but Glenn Roeder keeps churing out more daft comments. Should button it for a while tbh. Ok what IS the "acceptable" answer to that suggestion then? If not *stoney silence* (or just not turning up for press conferences ever, I guess ) and not "no we're not going to be relegated" (which is clearly a ridiculous answer boardering on lunacy )? Frankly there is justified whinging and then there's plain moronic whinging this is definitely in the latter category. I'm very interested in the "right" answer to this, although I don't believe there is one. The right ans is: "I'm dissapointed and embarrased that under my leadership I have brought the club to such a low level. I shall do the honorable thing and resign in the morning.
  11. I think if Chelsea came in with £15m I'd take it. You think? I'd snap their fucking hand off. Better than Rooney tbh. Mickey Rooney mebbies. Have a look on NO at the Crouch > Martins thread for HTT talking cobblers about Martins, culminating in an argument that amounted to "Ok, his movement and touch are poor, but imagine how good he would be if they weren't!" Needless to say he didn't even bear witness to his "performance" on Saturday - non-soopafan tbh. ....thing is Gemms it unnerves them when you talk seriously in a thread.. You are right btw.
  12. As is this place tbh. What is he supposed to say? "Ooo fuck we're in the shit now, I think we might be relegated......." Aye that would help. He could try saying nothing. As could you if that's the best you can offer. Again he would be castigated for that, and that's sure to bolster the fans and the team. Press: "Glenn do you think you're in a relegation fight?" Roeder: *stoney silence* Press : "Glenn do you think you'll have the funds to get who you want in the summer?" Roeder: *takes off his glasses and polishes them* Press: "Glenn do you think you can get into Europe next year?" Roeder: *studies a spot on the ceiling intently* Press: "Glenn are you going to answer ANY of our questions?" Roeder: *whips out some juggling balls and starts juggling* There are times where he gets all he deserves, there are others where it's just patent nitpicky girlish whineing tbh. He should juggle on the touchline during games so at least there would be 'some' entertainment.
  13. I can't see anymore than 2 points here..Draw with Arsenal and Pompey.
  14. ....I won't understimate GR's finely honed relegation abilities..
  15. I think if Chelsea came in with £15m I'd take it.
  16. And therein lies the problem. We just aren't an attractive proposition to the right sort of manager anymore. ...I personally don't really beleive that (or don't want to)..The right man is out there, it's just that we don't seem to look properly.
  17. Like Hoddle at Spurs, until it happens, the question is always going to be there. I'd say right now we could do a lot worse. Shearer taking over at a time when we are doing really well (say after a Houllier or someone) would be a lot more risky for him IMO. He won't have his coaching badge 'A' for at least another year and Uefa Pro 'B' longer after that iirc.
