it's quite a mild cheddar, I tried it with a more mature canadian cheddar from M&S and the sandwich was ruined. I ateit, but it more a case of Magnus Magnussen-ing it than actually enjoying the thing Mild cheddar is the solution I was looking for.

This is good and imo well worth the effort.

this one is winning so far and I've all the ingredients needed at home I'll judge this one tomorrow. how the fuck did this get four pages before I got my chippolata fingers into gear? Favourite at the moment is definitely the Piri Piri Chicken, sweet chilli jam, Wild Rocket, Fat Slice of tomato, Walnut Cheddar/Caramelised Red Onion Cheddar in a toasted foccacia. No special preparation other than either buying the Piri Piri Chicken or making yourself a full Piri Piri chicken meal the night before and leave a sandwich sized portion in the fridge for your sarnie the next day. Slice the Focaccia in half, spread the Sweet Chilli Jam on one side (and one side only) lay the chicken on top of that, then the rocket (sometimes it's nice to put a little cracked black pepper on here, but it can lose itself in a mix of flavours) Then two or three decent slices of the cheddar. Shake a little olive oil over the foccacia then bang under inside the sandwich toasting thingy that Gemmil mentioned, leave for a couple of minutes until top is nicely toasted then slice into triangles and eat. Congratulations you've now acheived inner peace The Bagel one sounds well tasty mind. Gemmils is too busy ifymeo Isn't the cheddar a bit too overpowering in this? Like the sound of it mind.

Nah she's proper German. Blue eyes an all that. The Greek chicken is summat I let onto her mum as one of me faves...

Parky's simple Greek chicken and balsamic onion ciabatta. Escape with doggy bag of Oven roasted Greek chicken from inlaws. Young hi/fast roasted chicken in rosemarry and thyme with lashings of lemon and lemon peel and garlic. White balsamic oozing onions. Fesh ciabatta from the deli. Oven heat ciabatta for 5 min Cut in half but not to the edges ie making a long pocket. Insert chicken and portion of onions to taste. Season as desired, not too much salt which masks the delicate herb infused chicken. Heat a pan with no oil till very hot and rub a clove of garlic on this intimidating surface. Flash the chicken filled ciabatta on this heat for 10 secs each side. Eat. Welcome to Paradise.

That pisses over Gemmill's attempt, for starters. Too much work for you surely, fatso?! Not as nice as mine btw, but then I don't expect you to appreciate my sandwich genius, what with you being a man that prefers a pre-packaged M&S effort. Resort to insults when you're losing the debate I notice. M&S do canny freshly made baguette sandwiches fyi. I've seen no debate from you. I asked you to put forward a sandwich to challenge mine, you said you buy yours pre-packed, thereby excluding yourself from further involvement in the thread on the grounds of peasantry. Well you've already been beaten by CG. I see no need to further humiliate you. Brie and bacon is too basic to even appear in this thread tbh. Students eat brie and bacon sandwiches every day from Dene's Deli. I like the sound of it, but only a fat man who eats pre-packaged sandwiches would think it's better than mine. Dene's deli doesnt use the finest Brie and Bacon though. Its all about the quality of the ingedients. When my french friend stayed with me in London i served that up for breakfast. He still talks about it. Chez developing his sandwich reputation by trusted word of mouth.

Wtf? This needs throwing out the nearest window.

Not sure of the consistancy of the bagel for such ventures...Ciabatta is usually more flavoursome.

...are we drizzling herb oil on this?

...ah the beginnings of a mushroom backtrack.. As I said right at the start I have an issue with the mushrooms in this delicate sandwich.
-
The green chillis are a touch of genius. A little doubtful that the correct mushrooms have been used.

It's not a fat fingers issue is it?

2000–2003 West Ham United 84 (29) 2003–2005 Tottenham Hotspur 60 (14) Can't work out if you're agreeing or not. Fairly average figures, mainly because he's so inconsistent. On his day though he's class. I'd rather us go for Anelka, but I'd be happy with Kanoute. Man after me own heart. ...Kanoute does get goals however, Spuds were mad to let him go.

Whatever happens the "home hub" will fry your mind.

That is terrible story and genuinely sad to hear. -
Agreed, but it is comforting that he turned them down despite the the £75K a week, perhaps money isn't everything afterall. until he signs for Spuds for £80k a week. Spuds have a tough wage structure. Top earner (Keane I think) is reputedly on £40k a week. It makes you wonder how he makes ends meet. The top earners were on 40k ish.... "Wham : Bent taking the Micheal?"

yeah sure I read that Cloughie was given enough 'sweeteners' in his time. Was there a story about after speaking to an agent he found a black bag left in his office afterwards and telling his cleaner to get rid off it. She then informed him it was full of cash to which Cloughie told her to share it with her colleagues. or something like that shit I'm crap at remembering stories and jokes! That is totally true there was £2000 in the bag a lot of cash at the time. Read it in a football tell all book a few years ago can't remember by who.

I'd like to think I had some little hand in it back in the meditation thread. Well done man.

Bungs is a way of life in football, infact I'd say it was heaped in tradition and the remit of lovable rogues.. Can't see what all the fuss is about. This has all been brought about by the prawn sandwich brigade.

More of less the usual suspects in this saga. Zahvi will be hard to pin down, he is an Israeli citizen with 20million front companies...
