  1. How many times you heard that belted out at Elland Road? One of the great songs of English football, and Elland Road in terms of atmosphere was the finest arena in this country. The Leeds fans played a greater part in that 1992 title win than any other clubs fans in the last 30 years (imo). I used to love watching live games at ER in the early 90's because of the ambiance in the stadium. Was really aggressive though then. I just can't believe how this has happened so suddenly though. I think the hallmark of a great side is a backs to the wall job in a partizan stadium, and coming away victorious. One of the best performances on the 02/03 season from our point of view was at home to Leeds, we battered them, absolutely battered them, they hit us on the break twice and won 0-2, with class players some of whom have played for us since. Olivier Dacourt was immense that neet, and I come out of the ground and I thought Leeds can win the league this season. Some of you will remember the game 8 months later they finished 17th and they've been on a downward spiral since. I'm gutted for them. Well said Sir!
  2. I enjoy baiting the Leeds fans in and out of the office, but I think youre spot on there. Its a masive shame for Leeds and you can feel some of the depression in the city. Normally you have a buzz for the new season, in Leeds there has been no It's awful the situation they are in. Hope they recover from this.
  3. Scottish and good goalkeeping don't go together it's just one of those underlying laws of football.
  4. That's a shite argument tbhWhere does this debate leave Michael Owen? Is he a crack whore? Might be the only thing to get him running around a bit more.
  5. Villa thankfully continue to make a pigs ear of this window.
  6. If he doesn't go this window we'll probably never get rid of him. Who bar the current buying fever resident at Wham would condider buying him for whatever the price is now. I'd have taken £5m and got his £60k wages off the books. In a business like manner without anything to do toward my feeling for he player. Ashley/Mort have fucked up here imo.
  7. This story is nonsense. Ashley always keeps out of the limelight, it doesn't mean he's going to sell up. The London fianacial writers still have grudges against Ashley.
  8. I'd like to add that I sometimes seek refuge on here and will continue to do so. There was a period in May when I was logging on here before N.O. but I can' remember why. Sometimes threads are more entertaining on here on similar subject matter as far as I can discern. In all reality just a half a dozen more regulars on here would make all the difference.
  9. They are bastards them like, used to get them all the time, had my toenail removed about 5 times but it always came back. Finally cured it by going to a back street chiropodist who was mates with my mams ex husband who did it for nowt. I had one before which was cured by antibiotics, salt water bathing and using tea tree oil on cotton buds to move the skin away from the toe nail Really hope this doesn't develop to how bad that was.. It's started to go bright red already though with a bit of puss, starting to worry! Ah the puss, used to have a strange addiction to the smell of it! Try loading the underside of the nail with cotton wool and pushing it right in to the corners to lift the wayward nail up from underneath, leave the cotton wool in for a week and keep it dry, thats what the back street chiropodist did for me and it cleared up quick sharp. Thanks. Odd cos I hadn't had one for bout 2 years yet its appeared all of a sudden without playing any football or anything (which is what caused it before). It's gonna be quite tough to leave the wool in for a week and quite painful to lift the wayward nail up form underneath! It's all so annoying considering I cut my nails well last time, must have just been unlucky cos I swear there shouldn't be any wayward bits of nail! You'll just have to bit the bullet son and grow some balls. I played football for about a year with one, if I caught it the pain was incredible, had to stop when the nail popped out the other side of my toe! Christ ! Yeah I often had a bloody sock after football. Really does hurt when ya catch it right (or wrong). Think what did it for me was when I laced a ball with no shoes on on the beach. Killed! Aye the bloody sock was a regular occurance like, my nail split once and ripped open the leather on my boots after a particularly hefty tackle once too. Sounds like you've got more balls than me! Whenever I didn't turn out for football cos of my toe I got some right stick, though nobody really understands the pain unless you've had it I think we're getting there.

  12. A BBQ ? isnt it pissing down ? I'm in Hamburg. But yes I got on my knees when I realised her trickery and begged for torrential rain. She's thrown my fav pillow away as well. I will addle her mind good and proper for a week now with my inane mind games. Welcome to my feminine side Biatch!
  13. So far watched up to episode 5 of season one, best cure for insomnia since the wank tbh. Don't be silly.
  14. This is the place where the stalkers have guns. Here's to hoping.
  15. 1 Mrs Parky has gone to a bbq without leaving the address and she's left her mobile here the witch. 2. Just had a veggie curry. Followed byIce cream with choc bits. 3. Planning my revenge on Mrs P. 4. Contemplating watching The Wire season 2 5. Rolling a rather mahoosive bit of ganga.

  17. Reports are suggesting Tarantino is doing Kill Bill 3 and 4 back to back in China. Some of the Crazy 88 who lost limbs want revenge. I can only guess it'll be full of allusions to The One Armed Swordsman. He really needs to give it a rest...He's making an utter fool of himself. History will say: Tarantino..The clown? Agreed. And I like the bloke. Really needs to do Inglorious Bastards or something less comic and pull it out of the bag big style. Please review ammended.

Never before in the history of cinema has someone with such a vast knowledge of film language delivered so little to so many.
  19. That's why Skirge 'FKN' loves him. Kindred spirit.
  20. It might well be Wes Brown. I'd rather it was a left back or Beye.
  21. That fighter jet bit on the motorway was 'off the hook'.
  22. I've got that V+'d to watch, might as well delete it Surely if I think it's crap then everyone else will think the opposite? Depends which version you're talking about. The original is canny but I hear the remake is gash. Paris Texas. Truely brilliant. Harry Dean Stanton and Dean Stockwell are both superb but it's worth watching for the beautifull cinematography alone. Reminded me of Thelma & Louise. Awesome piece of cinema.
