  1. Imho the critical games are the home games, this is one that can ease the pressure and give the team a kick start. Losing it would be bad but not a disaster. Maybe that's why I am not that nervous. We need to start winning asap. This is as good place to start as any.
  2. Still, at least we've got some excitement till the end of the season.
  3. In thier last 3 matches they've beaten Spurs and drawn with Arsenal as well as a semi-comback against Pompey. It won't be easy. I'M STICKING MY NECK OUT FOR A WIN.
  4. I was in Prague last week and visited my mate who lives here.. http://english.mucl.cz/ The building with the yellow front. A real old Czech town with real people etc...
  5. The beginning of the end or the end of the beginning? All will become clear tonight.
  6. "There's a brand new dance But I don't know it's name That people from bad homes Do again and again It's big and it's bland Full tension and fear They do it over there But we don't do it here" Beep Beep! Outrage at 500,000 DNA database mistakes By Toby Helm, Chief Political Correspondent Last Updated: 1:16am BST 27/08/2007 Have your say Read comments Civil liberties campaigners and MPs have raised doubts about the national DNA database after the Home Office confirmed it contained more than 500,000 false or wrongly recorded names. Have your say: Do you have concerns about the DNA database? Suspects arrested over any imprisonable offence, including rape and murder, can have their DNA held even if they are not charged or are acquitted. The database, the biggest in the world, contains about four million names. But it has been dogged by problems. Statistics released by the Home Office show it contains around 550,000 files with wrong or misspelt names. Lynne Featherstone, a Liberal Democrat frontbencher, told The Daily Telegraph that she wanted a full parliamentary inquiry into the "shocking" number of errors. "What lies behind these statistics? Is it the police just accept the 'say-so' of those whose DNA they are taking and don't check their names and addresses?" she said. "While the use of DNA can obviously be vital in solving crimes, anything that raises questions about the credibility of the base is not acceptable." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml.../27/ndna127.xml
  7. "Concern over the issue of civil liberties will be further amplified by news yesterday that commuters using Oyster smart cards could have their movements around cities secretly monitored under new counter-terrorism powers being sought by the security services, and that children would be automatically enrolled on the DNA database should they exhibit normal childish misbehaviour." The good old Oyestercard.
  8. Put young children on DNA list, urge police · 'We must target potential offenders' · Teachers' fury over 'dangerous' plan Mark Townsend and Anushka Asthana The Observer, Sunday March 16 2008 Primary school children should be eligible for the DNA database if they exhibit behaviour indicating they may become criminals in later life, according to Britain's most senior police forensics expert. Gary Pugh, director of forensic sciences at Scotland Yard and the new DNA spokesman for the Association of Chief Police Officers (Acpo), said a debate was needed on how far Britain should go in identifying potential offenders, given that some experts believe it is possible to identify future offending traits in children as young as five. 'If we have a primary means of identifying people before they offend, then in the long-term the benefits of targeting younger people are extremely large,' said Pugh. 'You could argue the younger the better. Criminologists say some people will grow out of crime; others won't. We have to find who are possibly going to be the biggest threat to society.' Orwell will be turning in his grave. http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2008/mar...ustice.children
  9. Without an expensive chance making production line around him he adds very little value to the side.
  10. sometimes he deserves it, Ive not been on RAWK for a while but Im guessing they're laughing their little scouse tits off at that comparison. Tbf that will be how the article has been spun though. Keegan is saying Viduka can score goals out of nothing like Torres did the other night (which is true), not that Viduka is as good as Torres or that he will be as succesful as him. The media are scum, but they're clever scum, as demonstrated by the number of people leaping to 'OMG Keegan is deluded' after reading that headline. There is some delusion about him I can feel it.
  11. Even better than when Phil Stamp first came through the ranks at Burra? Better than Gazza imho. Gazza's still quicker than him. Parrot on shoulder or not.
  12. I love calling people on their flaky commitment to a point of view like. The most ironic I found from Rico's over that couple of days wasn't this one though.... http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=427667 It was this one... http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=428067
  13. Bang on. The last thing we can be accused of as a failing is patience. What about all of those chanting Big Sam for England etc when we played Liverpool earlier on this season? Was that not impatience? Turning up at a football match with a shirt on is just a ritual. Supporting a club is a whole other thing. There are people who post here and other places where that shines through. You probably know who they are better than me.
  14. You live in outer space? The furthest point away from the toon is 12,480 miles away. If you dug a hole down through the centre circle of SJP and kept going through the earths core and through the other side, you would come out in the South Pacific Ocean, about 200 miles south of New Zealand. Just being pedantic. You in Buenos Aires like? Could well fancy going to the Superclasico at La Bombanera sometimes. Are English people treat well in Argentina, or are they still moaning about us sinking that ship? You make it sound like we accidentally left the tap running
  15. It's all relative. I don't remember us ever being 2 points from the drop. I do remember a manager being slated for bigging up smith, dropping zog, excluding enrique, targetting scottish league players and talking endless shite. I also remember making the point, if Keegan came in, was shite and left, what then for NUFC? We might well find out soon. You're a cunt....end of End of what? As if anyone ever starts a thread waiting for a worthwhile reply from your little dwarf fingers. 'Jog on' as they say, or rather, shuffle off. "Shuffle off"...Made me chuckle anyway. Must say Ringo you're a game little fighter the natives still haven't found the killer weapon.
  16. And then taking a huge dividend to boot. Let's not get started about storage space leasing arrangements.
  17. Oh please just be quiet and go watch lost or better still clueless! If you want to show me other fig go ahead. He's invested his money in HIS asset the club. He hasn't significantly invested in the first team (not even paying the debt counts). My point being the papers like to dress it up in a kind of language that makes our situation look more comical/dire. ie "He's invested £250m"..etc. He hasn't he has bought an asset the team hasn't directly benefitted. However I think there is enough ambition in MA and hopefully we'll see it in the summer.
  18. Fuck off he doesn't. The useless prick spent 26m buying 8 players that became his first choice. If you couldn't see the shite he was churning out then you obviously weren't looking! No denying the football wasn't great I totally agree. And his vision was flawed. He spent £8m net and we lost a couple of goodish players in Solano (semi-creative) and Dyer (pace). We also sold Parker who's worth is debatable but no less a loss to an already weakened squad. Two/Three (not sure if some money changed hands for Geremi) of the eight were free transfers on their last legs. I wish people would stop dressing up that transfer window for something it wasn't. It was cautious (for whatever reason) and SA had to fill holes at the back to begin with as you'd probably agree. In saying that I was disappointed in his approach on many levels, but he did have a very low base to begin with and seemed to be building things up regarding the infrastructure of the club. Beye and Faye were solid buys and Enrique would have turned out to be if long term imo.
