But then how will the big 4 buy the league?

I think it would just be a case of him finding his level, assuming it's in the Championship. I think that's a bit harsh, I just don't think his level was necessarily a team supposedly challenging for a European place, never mind Champions League place. Maybe he could play in the PL but I'm not convinced he'll ever do well in it. By finding his level, I meant a league in which he'd be a good player. I think you're being too nice.

Terry is a thug and a bully, one of the worst people to have been given the England captaincy since I've followed football. They had Jeff Winter (another prize cock!) on Talksport this morning and were discussing the players who barrack referees. Winter claims that Terry is worst culprit this season for doing this and that alone should prevent him from getting the captain's armband for England. For once I agree with the Smoggie twat... That said, Steven Gerrard was conspicious by his absence during the whole Mascherano affair on Sunday. Surely as his club captain he should have firstly been the one (not Mascherano) to question anything and secondly, surely he should have been over to make sure his player acted in the right fashion following his red card? Disappeared completely though... hardly the actions of the best leader? No-one sticks out as a definitive captain for England at the moment IMO - maybe that's half the problem! Maybe he had more sense to argue with the referee, seeing as there's supposed to be a clampdown on such behaviour? I agree he should have calmed down Mascherano though. Probably looking out for himself and keeping his nose clean before the England game, the shifty git. Hardly the actions of a leader, I agree. Owen is starting to look like a better captain for us, he was geeing the players up in the huddle on Saturday. But his place in the England team is far from secure. The next best option for England, dare I say it, is Rooney IMO. He's matured a fair bit and he is one of the senior players, and one who will be around for a while. I think players have been getting away with too much backchat for too long.

Christ, here we go again. A million blokes eh? Well, Roy Castle's gone, only another 999,999 to go eh? They put almost everything down to smoking these days, never mind huge swathes of cheap housing are built on former tips, chemical dumps and that gas thing I can't remember....And car fumes what about that? Lead in the water, pollutants in the air...No it's all smoking apparently. Motorway and driving deaths is there a way to blame that on fags as well?

Shouldnt Big A and KK already have sat down and decided what and who we need to take the club forward? How can they know what's needed yet? Still don't know if we need to be taken forward from the Endsleigh or the Barclays do we. we will stay up but lets be honest, I think most people on this board realises we pretty much need a new 11 I dunno, we do have players that could quite easily be in a top 6 challenging first team. What we do need is a bigger squad, to get rid of some of the real crap, and most importantly to add some quality players were we really, really need them (a strong forward that is good in the air and can hold up the ball, creatively in midfield - central and maybe on the wings too and central defence). We don't so much have a totally rubbish squad as a pretty small squad with gaping holes in it. Fair comment, but this was the point I was trying to make, I just feel that KK already knows where he has some problems, he him self has eluded to it when saying he needs an "edge piece" I would of thought that KK and Big A would of already had a chin wag and decided how much to spend and then they would be out grafting now to secure those players in the summer rather than start talking in the summer ala Roeder Well lets hope Keegan and maybe the much tabloided new scouting/youth system do have ideas and plans, but they just haven't sat down directly with Ashley yet until this season is secure and the transfer window is a bit closer. I'm sure they do and yeah 6 or so players of real class would be nice, the young talent they have brought in and ship out the knackers If we're going to compete we need to spend at least £50m.
-
Tough one isn't it! He is still relatively young and English so that should bump his fee up a bit as it always does and he's spent his entire career in the prem thus far which would hopefully count for something. But it will prob come down to how many clubs wnt him as to how much we can get. I'd take £3m and above.

What's he worth tho?

This. Every Man U fan I know is from Manchester, goes to games, never says a word about football unless asked and are generally canny lads. Every scouser I know is a mouthy cock-end who's never been to Anfield yet will take any opportunity to regale me with utter bollocks.

These are a few months out of date. But his is still around a goal every two games which is what top tier strikers are judged by. Taylor - We are all behind Keegan

Like his first half sitter today? There is no striker in the world who never misses an easy chance. The point is that he scored his next one. He had the added advantage from the set-piece of knowing where the ball was going to be. You boys are overcomplicating it.
-
He is still missing too many easy chances IMO. Not that I expect him to get them all, but it is important that he takes most of them, particularly as his pace has gone, and he's in a side that is creating little, although this has improved lately. Confidence and practice (considering the dearth of chances and that really he's still not been back that long considering how long he's been out over the last couple of seasons). Plus he's had more than a few saved by some pretty decent goalkeeping. I still think in a "Keegan side" (which this still is not) he'd be scoring pretty freely. Last sentence is key for me.

I only saw a stream but for me Owen was MOM closely followed by Beye.

Loves the old one in two ratio that boy.

Pretty comfortable win we could have had three or four. They rarely threatened and had a couple of 5 min spells when they looked dangerous. I'd keep Harper in goal of the rest of the season, not had much to deal with but just seems more relaxed and better positoned to me. The 433 is pleasing in the sense that one of the top 3 always takes a turn in rotating into the midfield and Owen's link up play is fast becoming a revelation. There just seems more alternatives now in the 2nd phase with Viduka staying central and the other two rolling deep or wide. Most consistant player atm is Beye. Slight niggle was Faye giving away unnecessary free kicks. MOM for me Owen.
