  1. #49 Like 2001 and TGTBATU, the masses will come around to it's genius in the long run. Finished 3rd in the best of 2007. Where? It's the highest rated of 2007 on IMDB... http://www.imdb.com/chart/2000s Best of 2007 list (meta).

  3. After you've done what to me, exactly? Ooooh..The mind boggles.
  4. "Oh that kinda hurt....Really quite painful"...said in a rather camp voice. How I imagine Pat to sound.
  5. Well he does admit he inherited a 'dangerous side' from Cuper so fair play to him.
  6. Where is it in the old metacritic now Nappyface...eh?
  7. I disagree, I think you're always going to have certain problems when rotating players regardless of quality. I take Rafa's point about keeping players fresh at the start of the season but if the result is that when it comes to the middle of the season and you're already out of the running for the league then it really defeats the purpose. Getting off to a good start and being there or there abouts come January can result in momentum and the chase often giving players that extra 10% of energy what keeps them going until the end of the season. I think Rafa was quite lucky at Valencia where he inherited a team on the up and up from Cuper. *Runs off to check if true* ewerk This interview with Benitez explains his theories on rotation, if you're interested. Benitez interview with Balague Park Life The interview also answers your question about Hector Cuper Cheers. Having a read now.
  8. His crust should have been relegated years ago, boring cunt I'm sure he's had a control chip put in his head.

  10. Michael Owen and Oba Martins don't count then ? "mate"......... one day people willl stop making things up Don't count in what? If I remember correctly Martins wasn't exactly Luka Modric when he joined us and Owen came because we priced the next nearest bidder out by around £8 million and we offered him a sustantial amount of cash. I don't think either signed because we were their first choice but more due to the lack of interest/money offered by other clubs. To me it looks like we got into a straight fight with Tottenham over Modric and got a bloody nose for the reasons listed in my earlier post. Now maybe if we'd offered £10 million more and 100k a week things would've been different but that is a daft way to do deals, especially as everything signals to a late, late bid by Spurs which tipped the scales in their favour. you implied that we didn't attract this type of player, so I'm saying - correctly - that we got our men Nowt too difficult about that is there ? From what I know the player didn't have much to do with it, regardless of his recent comments.
  11. I think that is too close to call.
  12. good buy imo , kev obv wants to work with him again aswell so that says alot also . edgar may turn out alright , but id never want to see him and tayls together for a few seasons yet . Edgar is not going to make it imo. I wasnt impressed a fortnight ago and I was even less impressed on Saturday. from a promising debut against ManU he's looked very nervous - jury out on this one now My gut feeling is that Edgar will turn out a goodun.
  13. Gemmill gears himself up for another spot of racial hatred. I find people taking such delight in Ronaldo's miss a bit pathetic. He's scored 38 goals already this season. So he's human and misses one, who gives a shit? His response was that he's not too bothered; he'll just score in the second leg. And he probably will. Typical of a wall pusher to post this article though. aye, Liverpool have became to manu what mackems are to us. That nail could not be hit more squarely on the head. Bravo. Yes, encapsulated in one clean sentence.
  14. ...and Everton with their meagre budget is running him close nearly every season.
  15. I think I told you so. £100M indeed Yes that's four Luka's.
  16. Won't they get sued to fuck?
  17. In all reality I wouldn't expect 'normal' holiday insurance to cover extreme type activities.
  18. Rumoured on N-O that we've been back in for Sidwell but he turned us down. No idea how accurate that is. That is pretty depressing if that is true, for a couple of reasons. Only depressing because it shows the shallow nature of footballers these days (if true). I don't think it has anything to do with footballers. It's how you project your identity as a business on the market.
  19. The Newcastle boss believes owner Mike Ashley shares his view the squad is not currently well-stocked enough to compete for a top-six spot, something that is sure to increase their sense of urgency in the market. “We’ve only got a small squad and I think that’s one of the reasons we struggled because I have to use the same players. It’s been the same for the past seven games,” he said. “We’ve only got the league as we’re not in Europe, but we’ve got two kids at the back so we’ve got to strengthen. If the owner thinks that just these players can go on next season – and I know he doesn’t – then he’d be misguided. “I was supposed to have gone for lunch with Modric, but I can’t remember it. We’ve earmarked about 20 players, he’s one of the best midfielders in the world and the right age, but at the moment – and it’s a sad thing – we’ve gone for three players and lost all three.” KK From end of a we need to buy article driven by Geremi quotes. What do people make of it? I'm of the opinion that we're moving in the market and that can only be a positive thing...And as it seems we are qoing for good players we're going to lose some of them. http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastl...61634-20829023/
  20. Tricky one. If I was an insurance company bod I wouldn't pay. However it really depends what the insurance coverage has in the small print.
