  3. Magnificent 7 - Dreadful. 3/10 War Dogs - Some funny bits and a thoughtful ending a la Liberal Hollywood take on arms dealers and war. 6/10 The Green Room - Early doors comments - 'Fuck are they gonna be trapped in this room the whole film'? 'B' Movie pastiche. 3/10 High Rise - Those BBC CV laden Directors get one crack at it....Early pace too fast so had nowhere to go when it speeded up it became a blur of nonsense..4/10 (The book ain't all that either). The Ones Below - Those BBC laden directors etc.....Actually had a bit of tension to it for about an hour and then fell over itself...Overaught...Shot like Easteneders. # Hot Finnish actess. 6.2/10 Why are these psychological dramas so fucking over lit? And why is the camera so neutral.....Comparing it to Polanski is just laughable.
  4. We will rule with slogans. /Stalin.
  5. We'll take the 7 year block on A7 countries that Blair turned down. That will be it reg immigration. As it's something we could have had anyway there will be no hassle from the Europeeens.
  6. "Melodies International (Sam Shepherd / Floating Points reissue label) reissue three of the most desired records from the 'modern soul' scene. Privately recorded in the Detroit area between '73 and '78, and scarcely distributed since, the rare 'Aged In Harmony' 7"s have become highly sought after and much revered by soul enthusiasts around the world. The unique vibrations emanating from these very special records have resonated at the heart of the Melodies label since it's conception, originally prompting the birth of the internationally acclaimed 'You're A Melody' party and forever inspiring generations of soul collectors to dig that little bit deeper. All originally written, arranged and produced by Arnold Moore, the six recordings bring together Strings, Vocals, Guitars, Synths, Horns and Drums for the perfect marriage of textures, each track contributing it's own individual energy to the warming aura which surrounds the whole collection. There’s something about these compositions that draws you closer to anyone in your vicinity - trust me. After lovingly remastering these gems in conjunction with their creator, Melodies are proud to present the masterpieces together as a set for the very first time, accompanied by the second edition of the label's very own Melozine, which features an exclusive interview with Arnold himself, amongst much, much more... TRACKLISTING: 7" One You're a Melody You’re a Melody (Extended Disco) 7" Two I Feel Like Dancin' Theme For Someone Special 7" Three Trust Me Dance Awhile
  7. You boys be trippin if you think the Tories are going to harm the City. Where the feck do you think a lot of their donations come from? Btw Frankfurt is regulated up the arse and no bankers are in any hurry to move there.
  8. The asthma stopped when I started the tabs. The lungs has summink else to worry about than pollen.
  9. I used to take my asthma spray clubbing because you can basically go all night with a few hits. If you're taking a massive steroid injection before a race it surely is performance enhancing.
  10. "The fallacy in Hollywood is that if you’re making a 'feminist' story, the woman kicks ass and wins," Portman said. "That’s not feminist, that’s macho. A movie about a weak, vulnerable woman can be feminist if it shows a real person that we can empathize with." As a young feminist, Portman articulates a growing concern I have about Hollywood’s take on the new and improved "feminist" figure. Many movies consider themselves progressive because women suddenly have swords. This new archetype is just as one-dimensional as the Manic Pixie Dream Girl. As New York Times columnist Carina Chocano wrote, replacing the damsel in distress with a strong female character only "reinforces the unspoken idea that in order for a female character to be worth identifying with, she should really try to rein in the gross girly stuff." As a feminist who likes wearing dresses and doesn’t know how to sucker-punch, this sends me the same message that has been sent to boys for decades: "man up."
  11. Rey just doesn't have the character flaws to make her interesting and she doesn't have the heroes journey either cause she can't fail and learn along the way. It took Luke ages to get to grips with stuff and most of the time people were taking the piss out of him. He had a proper character arc.
  12. The Wiggins TUE's just before big events look tricky.
