  1. Aye it's bizarre they are trying to pretend that Mort did anything of any real issue without consulting Ashley, and I hardly think he's suddenly interested in the day to day decisions that he employs someone like Mort to sort out. Not really sure what's to gain in putting out this stuff.
  2. Frings and Ballack lightweights? They were both rubbish today. Ballack was appalling and is hardly what one would call a heavyweight. Spends more time moaning than playing.
  3. He's a nationalistic grade A twat with no sense for sportsmanship tbh. He's a good manager though. Fantastic in motivating players and letting his team play some decent football. I am not sure if he was a success for any other team but Croatia. Croatia totally deserved it. They were the better team for nearly the whole 90 minutes. It's telling when Lehmann is your best player. Frings and Ballack got bossed in midfield and losing far too many balls. Set pieces were crap as well. Only with Schweinsteiger came a bit of creativity. It probably wasn't a red card, but if you push a player you are always in trouble. There are too many players who are not in form. Without a major increase from nearly everybody it will even be difficult against Austria... The defence looks edgy and Lehmann is a constant liability.
  4. Fop is da toaster, he's a boaster - - a rub-a-dub teacher, the man come like a preacher.
  5. How much?...................if you can`t offload him, how long will you have to pay him for? He's what 2 years into a 5 year (?) deal? Oh deary me, good move by Duff though. Whatever it is we'll save £3m a year by shifting him. I agree. I think Ashley is perseuing the right policy and tidying the place up financially. It will pay dividends in about 3 years or even less. I agree. One or two signings wouldn't go amiss though.

  7. Obafemi to Arsenal then? Bafatimbi is ahead of him in the queue.
  8. Personally I'd take a £1m. Depressing.
  9. Bearing in mind his wages are about 3m a year.
  10. Reading are really short of cash. No, his contract is up next summer and he's made it clear he wants out. Reading's chairman just doesn't splash money about is all. Shorey's a perfectly capable left back when he's in the right frame of mind. Looked brilliant in the Championship-winning season. Not great defensively though, but he has a cracking free kick on him. Worth a shout if Enrique leaves. And they are short of cash. I just said they weren't.
  11. Has it gone through? I thought he'd only agreed personal terms. Could be wrong. I can't find confirmation anywhere, just stories saying they want him or have bid for him. Vague. I don't know, that's why I added the question marks? Ok man.

  13. From Times Online June 10, 2008 Zico parts company with Fenerbahce Times Online and PA Fenerbahce have parted company with Zico - freeing him up for a possible move to the Premier League. The Brazilian, who took charge of the Istanbul club in 2006, was linked to the managerial vacancy at Manchester City before Mark Hughes stepped in, and both Blackburn Rovers and Chelsea are currently looking to recruit a new manager. After winning the Super Lig title in his first season with Fenerbahce, the Turkish side failed to emulate that achievement last season when they had to settle for a second-placed finish behind Galatasaray, although an impressive Champions League challenge was only ended by Chelsea at the quarter-final stage. Aziz Yildirim, the Fenerbahce president, said: "We have parted company with Zico. We know who the new coach will be and he will sign an agreement in Istanbul next week."

  16. Quite worried this might not happen actually.
