  1. 6.5m for lampard though. Ano just saw that. Crouch for 20 mill and Lampard for 7. Is it a length of contract thing? Maybe Benny is charging by the inch for Crouch. Sometimes someone has to crouch and someone has to be on tippietoes.® Every inch counts.

  3. Zenit has turned down Barca's offer of £12m and they've refused to offer any more rather than him turning them down. I realise that, but if it was his dream to play for them he could ask Zenit to accept or make noises about wanting to leave or whatever. So why did you say he had turned them down when he clearly hasn't? Don't worry about it.

  5. Is he really that good to be demanding a top four club and turning Barca down? I thought it was his 'dream' to play for them?
  6. Blind man's been caught licking the walls in the toilet. Probably blown his chances. did he think it was a window or something? He's been washing his balls in a cup. He's put blind people back 100 yrs. he also licks the bread then puts it back in the packet stop it. noone is that weird. It's true. If he just stopped licking things within easy reach he probably could have won.

He's put blind people back 100 yrs. are you fucking serious? washing his balls in a cup? wtf?! Unreal, really. He is quite vile once you look past the blindness.

  10. He got 50,000 in his fan club. Bullshit.
  11. Quite a bargain. I was thinking about the Guti thing as well.
  12. And they STILL haven't invited you to the table?
  13. Lovely little player still wildly underestimated imo.
  14. Saviola Available at A Price Javier Saviola has been put up for sale by Real Madrid amid reports of several interested sides, but he may have to lower his wage demands to secure a transfer. »Comments (7) Print This Story Send To A Friend Contact Us galleria zoom The Argentinian has stated that he wanted to stay at the Bernabéu and prove himself after a first season that saw him only given minimial chances to shine following a move from Barcelona last summer. Madrid are not impressed, however, and coach Bernd Schuster has instructed the board to find Saviola a new club before the players depart for pre-season training camp in Austria later this month. Wolfsburg are one club to have made their interest official, while Italian hopeuls Juventus, Fiorentina and Napoli are all monitoring the situation, according to the media. While Madrid only want €5m for the player that cost Barcelona €18m from River Plate when he was tipped to become a huge star in Argentina almost seven years ago. Saviola now realises that he will only spend another term on the bench if he stays with Los Merengues, but is refusing to lower his personal demands. Earning €3m-per-season at Madrid has meant that any other club keen on securing his services will have to match that fee and none of the current interested parties want to." Lucas Brown, Goal.com Would be excellent for us when Little Mickey misses games or playing against deep sitting opposition (not one of Martins strong points).
  15. My figures assume the same investment in players as between '98 and '06. A period in which we were some of the biggest spenders in the league. I did make the mistake of using the wrong graph though, as one of the links states... "the total loss the club has made since 1998 which is £27m turns into a loss of £62m when the shareholders have taken their cut." As a tax paying PLC the club should have aimed at breaking even every year in that period. That £27 million equates exactly to the amount paid to finance our debt in that period. Shocking those dividends really.
  16. Expensive, long winded and who knows what will come out in the wash. ie No. The papers then run with it and serialise it. I'm certain it's the papers that approached this American company to see if they'd be interested. They run the story, then ring the company back for a comment to confirm they were approached. Gives legitimacy to a story they've concocted out of thin air. I don't believe that. Yet you believe US Helicopters fired rockets at the twin towers to bring them down? Selective conspiracy theorisist. It was a little helium balloon inadvertedly let off by a handicapped boy with a Spurs top on.

  18. Fat Pig. What are the examples of this regime saying one thing and doing another? I remember Shepherd promising world class signings and bringing in Sibierski and Bernard, but I have no recollection of being let down by any promises in the last year. He's right about one thing, we aren't fools. That's why we ignore every story in his shitty little rag about a different buyer being lined up every week for the last 6 months. I find it hard to reconcile the PR statements around the time of takeover with subsequent behaviour. Dont really feel let down though tbh, as i didnt believe them in the first place. What kind of thing Chezzer?
  19. Danny, genuinely, what about financial backing? Rich clubs are surely bigger than poor clubs? It's logical to assume a small club who suddenly becomes wealthy will be able to attract better players, build bigger stadia, attracting more fans, this can improve their current standing and perhaps bring them honours... therefore surely financial backing is a deciding factor in this too... Spurs and Newcastle are big English clubs, we're neither of us as big as some clubs and we're both bigger than others. Your reaction in this thread smacks of someone who is insecure about their clubs place in this world. My reaction was to childish taunts that seemed to imply that because you took the 5th spot at the meeting that you were a bigger club. That was, of course, not the case. And no, I dont think finance is the mark of a big club. Success can follow money, as is the case with Chelsea but it wont always. QPR have wedge to burn now but I dont see Kaka signing for them just yet. They have to walk before they can run. I am not insecure with my clubs place in the world. I understand that we are not a United or Liverpool. I also understand that we are a bigger club than Newcastle. Not until you get in the CL mate.
  20. Villa are the favourites to sign the 22-year-old James Milner from Newcastle, with Liverpool believed to have cooled their interest in the former Leeds winger. With Liverpool now exploring other options, Villa are hopeful a deal can be agreed with Newcastle once Kevin Keegan has added more numbers to his squad. O'Neill yesterday admitted the need for new signings is "more important than ever", with Gareth Barry's departure to Liverpool all but confirmed. Villa have also lost Carson, Thomas Sorensen, Olof Mellberg and Patrik Berger since the end of last season. Steve Sidwell is expected to be one of the new faces and Villa hope to complete a £4.5m deal with Chelsea for the 25-year-old next week." Not sure if we could have kept him and Spidey.

  23. This week I will be mainly boycotting jam.
