  1. Would use nothing but safari if I could help it. Loading times on IE are a joke.
  2. I think Andy Gray makes a few good points here, I was never in favour of us pushing a deal through.... I can only agree with everything he's said there, apart from one day Spurs are going to break in to the top four, we're the only ones with the calibre and stature and belief to do it, but we're 5 years away maybe. The likes of Bentley if he does well will use Spurs like a stepping stone as they all do, the likes of Carrick, Keane and now of course Berbatov. Let's not mince words, losing Keane and possibly Berbs is a blunder.
  3. Might be a big jump from Zagreb. Not sure he is a dead cert as you would like, week in week out the PL takes its toll on this type of player.
  4. I suspect he is more cultured than Modric.
  5. Massive fan as I've mentioned in the past. You can't say that till you've seen him play 50 times apparently.
  6. We're going to need a fair bit of luck with injuries. Collocini was previously indestructable, I'll give him 3 games If he lasts 3 games he'll get an injury that puts him out for the rest of the season. I'm just worried that we still don't have the players to really play anything but the "Keegan" formation we played last season (which hinged on all 3 of out main strikers being fit). Having little (but hoofs) coming through the middle means we'll need some excellent wingers to make a more traditional 4-4-2 work, and even then the right combination of forwards playing. I understand your concern and agree that the 4-3-3 formation may be our first choice of deployment. I think we have got various tactics available to us within and without that system though. A Diamond with Owen or Viduka the furthest forward of a midfield four, a flat 4-3-3 with Owen and Martins out wide, a wing back system with a holding midfielder providing cover for Beye and Enrique as they bomb past a fairly static midfield, to provide a counter attacking supply for a forward line who keeps the oppo's defence from joining the attack. and I'm not close to being a football strategist. I also think that we have the players for a 4-4-2 if needs be. Milner/Duff/Guti can play either wing, Charlie is capable too. Even a 5-3-2 or wingback 3-5-2. It's the creativity in the centre of the park we're still lacking, perhaps more cover at left back and a right winger who's better than Milner. Yeah, it'd be interesting to see how deep Owen or Viduka could play. The problem still is though that most everything relies on Owen, Viduka and Martins being fit (or excellent wingers or a seriously quality attacking/creative midfielder). Remove any of Owen, Viduka or Martins (and replace them with Smith or Ameobi, or any midfielder) and we lose a lot more than just that player (the sum of the whole is great than the parts IMO). Lose 2 of those 3 to injury (or all 3 ) and we're REALLY going to be relying on our midfield and defence for their share of our goals (and unless someone repeatedly breaks Dabizas's scoring record we're going to struggle). I'm really hoping for a freak injury free season, we're due at least one I suppose. Attacking MF who can double as a forward say a Gudj type would cover 2 bases. And AMF and cover or else. Guti looks like a step in the right direction, but as Alex said KK might go with two cloggers in the middle for now.
  7. Of the two more players I think we are looking for I personally would like it to come out of this group: Arda AM Affellay AM Aissati M Deridyok F Nigel De Jong DM Warnock LB Eidur Gudjonssen AM/F
  8. He is pretty average imo. Rather Deriydok.
  9. Would be a good signing, can he play through the middle? Anywhere across the midfield and fits all our criteria reg age and prospect etc.. IMO he's not quite at the level yet where if we pushed summat through quickly there would be competition from the 'big' clubs. Certainly a fixture in the Dutch setup for years to come.
  10. Amrabat was tracked by Arsenal before they signed Nasri.
  11. "PSV aren’t planning to let another of their star players go; the Eindhoven team have seen Gomes move to Tottenham Hotspur and Jefferson Farfan to Schalke’04, while hot prospect Aissati made the move to rivals Ajax. However, according to Dutch weekly Voetbal International, should Afellay leave, PSV will demand a sum of €15million. The 22-year-old midfielder has made 83 league appearances for PSV so far, and has also played eight international matches for Holland." Stefan Coerts
  12. Or Berbatov. Neeone even wants him Red nose said this morn he's not bothered. They did want him though. Lodged a bid didn't they? He's saying he's happy with the squad from last year. Might be mind games, but they can get almost anyone on the planet and Spurs might have just overplayed their hand on this one, which will be funny if they were relying on recouping money from the Berb deal. Think he might still end up there, although not this window. They should bid for Kaka.

  16. They paid hefty coin for him though. £13.8? I believe it was £10m and I don't see how the price has any relevance to the argument. Regards, Attain. "Bale would be a united player now if they hadn't been scared off by SCBCs valuation." [Danny B/] Check DB's post. ^^^^^^^^ I can help you with understanding these things but don't get cocky. Again, the argument was the Top 4 will always get their man. In this case, they wanted him but couldn't pay up or didn't decide to do so. However, this still means they wanted him at some stage. The bit in bold is ironic, don't you think? Regards, Attain It's clear you don't understand the simplest things let's leave it there. I'm in a good mood.

  18. They've just signed the most expensive defender in Newcastle history. Trophy signings all the way with Ashley.
  19. BFITW Low turnout for sure. But then, we've finished in the bottom half 2 years running and it's just a friendly, we'll still be around 50K for the first home game proper against Bolton. The last time Spurs finished in the bottom half 2 years running they only got 28,000 for their opening Premier League fixture the following season. BFITW? Tottenham fans are shite always have been always will be, I think most clubs acknowledge the fact they are, them competing with us in terms of support, is like Peter Ramage competing with Beckham for female admirers.

  21. We need to get this done. I'm a bit edgy about it today..... Didn't you say he was shiet last week? Regards, Attain Can you get onto your uncle to put enough wedge down so fat Ashley can fuck off?
