  1. Agreed. He gets at least 10% more out of most honest players.
  2. This is the essence of me and Nicos's last 5 proper debates.
  3. Let Jonas drift into the middle and let Zog/Ricky overlap. [Trapattoni\]
  4. By all that's holy shh......... Just wait till 2J see's this.
  5. Err...Maybe not if you think about it.
  6. So that's your game.
  7. My Mam and dad are coming back from Scotland in their motorhome and both front tyres have worn down to the rim on the inside of the Tyre. MvB pulled over, fashioned a quick BBQ from an upturned trolley, threw a couple porterhouse steaks on there and turned his attention to the van. Hoisting it onto his shoulders he adressed the tyres, convincing them with his usual charm and affable nature to re-inflate and not to do it again. Set it back down in time to serve up the Steaks and sat to have a nice chat with my Dad about genealogy while complimenting my Mam on her cross-stitching. I also heard he was heading off to Ossetia to act as a cease fire enforcer, volleying the missiles and mortars back from whence they came disarming them in the process. Lovely bloke, seems he has time for everyone....
  8. This is a serious issue and needs addressing - in a white starchy uniform ideally. I don't have one. Will scrubs do? As long as they are paper thin and come with gloves.
  9. You'll need to black hole America first. Nah, by the time I get it, Obama will be president and he'll just want to talk about things. Black hole it anyway. You have the green light.
  10. And they do that by attacking countries much weaker than themselves. This situation can get really ugly, very fast. I know the West feels like something needs to be done, but what can you do? If you step in, you make Turkey, Russia, us, and the rest of Central Asia very uneasy...and people forget how close Iran is to all of this. Granted, Iran's relations with Georgia aren't the best, but they are good friends with Azerbaijan. All the countries you've mentioned, well I know Russia, Turkey and Iran (I'll add China to that as well) would sacrifice thousands and thousands of men to achieve objectives. It's the type of war Western Europe and the USA would not favour, hence why they would virtually be left alone, or at least why disputes would not be met with force but only diplomatic protests. Turkey may not, they're still after the EU bid, but Russia, China, and Iran would. They are preparing themselves for that. As far as Kazakhstan and the other 'stans, what we do with our military is for defense. I highly doubt we would get involved in this particular, hypothetical conflict because we really don't have any bad relations with anyone. We would be neutral, but that would mean no free airspace. Did the Kazacs manage to steal any nukes before the got shipped back to Russia?
  11. Turkey has a pact with Israel and 2 U.S. airforce bases. Doubt they're doing anything for Russia.
  12. The bloke who did Control did a few of their videos.
  13. He just popped over and brushed me teeth for me. Diamond bloke.
  14. You'll need to black hole America first.

    Ian Brown

I underestimated him for a long while. Has finally been given legend status by the Parky Foundation.
  16. Depeche Mode fan? Always. Just wondered. I used to love them. Still like a lot of their old stuff. Yep, me too. Love their 82-85 hits or whatever it's called. Still knocking out good stuff tbh. They have their own section in my 'music cupboard'.

  18. Er, hang about there. It's only given the world, you know, civilisation. Can't argue with the "won't win medals" though. The ancient Egyptians were, of course, extremely interesting. They've let themselves go, though. I was there November last, and it is a horrible place to visit, excluding the quad-biking and scuba diving. It is too hot, windy and dusty, and that's just the start of it all. In saying that, some of the people really are fantastic, and are extremely generous. So it isn't all bad. Most are money-grabbing tossers, though. The ancient 'Egyptians' weren't Egyptians. Hence the disparity.
  19. I think Duff is showing glimmers of his old self.
  20. makes me smile too ......... Has anyone done the sums on his estimated balance sheet since arriving? EDIT: Using a mixture of ball park estimates and the averages from NUFC-Finances.org.uk I reckon.... Outgoings Buy price 130M Debt 30M Wages 60M Players in 30M Other expenses (match related) 15M Total 265M Incomings TV 20M Players Out 16M Commercial 20M Gates 30M Total 86M Which has him 179M down. Sitting pretty on a lovely little investment though. Happy to bow to wiser heads and add/remove/change amounts though The club is valued at £240m that's all you need to know. Unless our performance on the park changes drastically he won't find anyone to pay substantially over that price. Why are you perpetuating the notion that Ashley should run the club as a charity? Almost a fifth of his total wealth is wrapped up in the club at the moment. If he does sell up, so fuck. Someone else will get all the grief. As it stands he's taking a LOT LOT less out of the club than the previous owners did while spending more. If the Coloccini deal happens that's 2 years running that transfer spending (including income) has exceeded £10M. A phenomenon that only occurred 3 times out of the previous 9 years at the club. http://www.nufc-finances.org.uk/transfers2.htm Charidee? Why charidee? You have a problem with him not spending more right? It doesn't make sense on or off the pitch to start spending astronomical money until we're an attractive proposition to the best players. We have this chat every couple of months innit Nicos. We're doing alright man....I just get a bit frustrated sometimes. And we'll keep having them until you stop the little digs. I shall return!
  21. "Newcastle is the time to groped another boy of Naples: Crescenzo Liccardo" Wise is out of control.

  23. Aye, close the forum. Who gives a fuck about NUFC anyway? i meant who cares if people booed smith? doesnt make a difference if he is booed or not. Course it does. Otherwise, what's the point in booing the useless piece of shit? Why shouldnt people boo smith then? There's 2 possible futures for the lad.... 1) Sell him - in which case booing him can only depreciate the lads value and lessen the return the club get from his sale. 2) Keep him - in which case booing him can only shatter what confidence he might have had and leave him an expensive reserve. I'd ask what benefit booing could have? Gotcha. Silly booing our own players.
  24. Great signing for them if he stays fit. Trouble is, his fitness record was pretty poor at Man Utd Massive 'if' re: his fitness. Just needs to hold the fort for a couple of months till Jones gets back? They put a bid in for Voronin, but I guess Benny and his 'valuations' nipped that in the bud.
