  1. Discussions are ongoing between Parky Industries and representatives of Anil Ambani. More as it comes.
  2. You answer that question yourself - he's where the buck stops as far as idiotic executive appointments are concerned. Beat me to it. He created this situation and he did it within a fortnight of bringing KK back to the club. And it was calculated. Calculated to do what though? Undermine the man he'd just appointed? I think it's more a case of Ashley being clueless about running a football club, about KK and about NUFC. I don't think he is totally clueless about running the club. As others have said it, he just got it totally wrong by appointing the wrong people (bar Keegan). The structure isn't bad per se. It would be alright if the people were working within the limits they allegedly were supposed to do according to the job description for the public. For example, it isn't that bad to relieve the manager (Keegan) from some business duties as long as he has the final say on matters like transfers and contract within the financial limits. Ashley probably isn't lying when he says that he bought the club to enjoy it as a football fan. It is his weekend plaything. That's why he isn't directly involved in the daily running of it and concentrating on his other business stuff. Shame that he unlike Abramowitch couldn't appoint the right people. He has no Peter Kenyon with vast experience who he can rely to. He has Labiarse. Wise isn't used to his role either. That's why those probably thought without Ashley running the club himself they can do things as they want to and gradually pushing Keegan out of things. It's just guesswork from, but if things are like this then the situation would easily resolved by getting rid of those who aren't up to their job and appoint people who have a clue and are actually caring (like in the past). The latter is probably a problem as well. I can't see for example Wise and Labiarse working on things with a fraction of enthusiasm like Shepherd did. Fair post. The golden rule of a fan driven business is that the key task everyday is to make sure your prime asset (and link with the fans) is happy, feels wanted and is engaged. Ashley for me is a total amateur at the football game and as indicated above hasn't for whatever reason hired the right people to address the day to day running of the club, if anything he's just hired his mates. It's basically incompetence.

He created this situation and he did it within a fortnight of bringing KK back to the club. Yeah but to be honest all he appears to have done is make a bad business decision, he has to appoint a chairman and thinks "bollocks Ill stick with someone I know, Decka did wonders with the casinos and hes a good laugh down the pub he'll be great at it oh and hold on I need someone with good knowledge of the game as well and that little cunt Dennis owes me a favour after the plumbing on the Tenerife timeshares went tits up so he can do it" Now in hindsight he must be realising that a football club isnt the same as a shop selling cheap makem shirts and you cant just stick to the same business model. Ashley will be judged on how he handles this crisis. If he comes out of this with some sensible decisions then maybe he can turn it round.

I think it's more a case of Ashley being clueless about running a football club, about KK and about NUFC. Wise imo was bought in to keep an eye on KK and report to Ashley (who's never there by all accounts). what from london??!!!?? The decisions are being made in London.
  5. Apparently Ashley really likes him and they have mutual friends in London or whatnot.

  8. You answer that question yourself - he's where the buck stops as far as idiotic executive appointments are concerned. Agreed. And the minions don't make up their own songs, the song sheets are handed down.
  9. Keegan has been undermined by a team of muppets. Let's start there.
  10. IMO it wouldn't surprise me if the players are deeply unhappy and perhaps they are leaking against Ashley. ASHLEY OUT!
  11. Insane, if that's true. We're dealing with a jumped up grocery clerk.
  12. Thats what happens when you coach in that system, the senior management have a strategy for players and you coach within it. If Keegan was told from the outset that he would have no say in transfer dealings then I'm fairly sure he wouldn't have taken the job. If things were only that black and white. I am sure he was told he would have input. For example on areas that need strengthening. The thing is with managers is that they never say no to a player because even one they didnt want is better than nothing. KK probably hoped he would get his number one choice but management thought that because he accepted the youngster, that would do. All just speculation of course but I firmly believe thats why we ended up with Darren Bent. We didnt need him but he was offered to the manager and he said "what the hell, how can it hurt" 20m later.
  13. Why do you think Keegan got the job in the first place? Maybe I put it across wrong. Obviously you would think he brought KK in as he realised what he means up here and the effect it would have; though the cynicals would say that it was a clever ploy to flog some merchandise, season tickets and generally make the club a more attractive proposition should he come to sell (if indeed wants to sell but thats another thread!). I would hope it is the first line of thought though... Im just wondering that If Keegan goes (god forbid) then the feelings of hate towards him are immense and I wonder how he would react.... He'll off like a shot.
  14. He must feel like he's in the wrong place if he's in Newcastle, since he flew out for U21 duty yesterday.
  15. I've had a Wahl before got a bog standard Phirrips one now. C241. Does he job.
