Presidents are normally held hostage by the houses so things can get done for both sides. Or nothing gets done. It will be the same for Trump.
-
About 500 bills. I concur with some of your criticism of Obama (drone strikes etc) but pretending he hasn't been stymied by the political architecture is stretching it.
-
Yeah quoting the Washington Times, The NY Post, Time magazine, The Economist and other full blown conspiracy propagators is going to get me into trouble.
-
Is that a racist caricature?

In fact he wiped out the mainstream GOP candidates and they did everything they could to stop him getting the nomination. The GOP never wanted him.

Two top Democratic strategists have exited the presidential campaign after explosive undercover videos showed them discussing voter fraud and their roles in planting paid agitators at campaign events for Republican candidate Donald Trump." http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/oct/18/undercover-video-shows-democrats-saying-they-hire-/

GOP are probably going to lose control of the Senate and there is a whole legal infrastructure in place to curtail Presidents doing what they want as Obama found out. Congress especially is a mine field and to get things done there has to be a lot of compromise. Trump might go on about taxes for instance but Congress would have to pass it. The other key thing is that Trump doesn't have the nous and the experience to build partnerships (hasn't so far) within the political landscape. In fact he has alienated a lot of the power brokers with his constant attacks on 'establishment types'. http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-election-forecast/senate/

You do know Iran had to overthrow an American backed dictator not so long ago? Assad was an eye doctor from London who has won two elections he isn't a 'dictator' and he doesn't have any WMD. He arrived in zone where there was already a repressive state apparatus in place. I don't know what you don't understand about regime change and American hegemony that has laid waste to most of the middle east and overturned secular countries and replaced them with chaos and extremism. ISIS started in Iraq. They got a lot of their early arms from Libyan arms caches. The way forward in the world is to bring change gradually with diplomatic and financial pressure and rewards. Not go in and wipe out whole nations. The fact that this needs explaining to you boggles my mind in all honesty. I also know real Palestinians and Afghans and Syrians I'm not sure what point you are making there.

The Neo Con hawks live in la la land and have no idea what is happening on the ground in these countries. They believe in manifest destiny and suck on high hubris - they have been emboldened by the interventions in Libya and Iraq and are currently helping decimate one of the poorest countries in the world in Yemen. The facts that they have created Balkanised and failed states that America has spent 17 trillion dollars thus far in the middle east over a decade means fuck all to them. That millions of people have been displaced or killed or wounded cuts no ice. They will not stop till they have taken down Syria and Iran and there are others on the list. They are seething that Russia has stopped them in Syria. I genuinely worry what foolhardy escapades are planned when Clinton a known warmonger takes office.
-
Your bitch is laying the foundations to take on Russia in Syria which will lead to the greatest conflict ever on this planet. The General gives the correct ans first and is brow beaten into disowning it because the Neo Con hawks didn't like the ans vis a vie war with Russia.

I've said all along they are both poor choices. And so has everybody in this thread.

The dark master is rising and hell is coming with him.

Gingrich schools the witch Kelly. First time I've seen her freeze and ragged.

As I said 2 weeks ago...The polls reg Florida were wrong (Clinton 5 points up) and that it was very close. Trump up in Florida in a new Washington Post poll today.
-
There's no choice if Trump wins he won't have enough support in the Senate to do anything or appoint anyone he wants and if he does get through all that they'll shoot him.
-
Yup tawdry soft left navel gazing has ensued since the rebels have vacated. There is a right on there though but only in specific topics. I'll say no more.

New normal innit. When they did those tests in the 50's to see if people would apply electric shocks to someone in another room whilst hearing them scream in agony, quite a few went to the full charge.

Looks like I've been misusing 'konsequent' for ages. I disagree with the article a bit cause you can talk Germans into things.

Yeah. That's why I said someone like him. It's paramount we get one forward with pace and stamina. Under Benitez we'll be breaking against most sides and unless a mountain of money is spent we won't be dominating possession. There is a handful of players of his type knocking around in the 20-25 age range and I'd be far more comfortable with one of them in the side so we can break quickly or get behind teams. Even basic PL teams like Burnley and Bournemouth are that well organised its hard to break them down if you play everything in front of them.

We'll need someone like this and it will cost 30m odd...Benitez is one of the best in the world at setting the block and the positioning of the 5 defensive players plus one box to box...Our first season back will come down to how much threat we have up front. BREEL EMBOLO The Swiss club have already rejected £23million from Wolfsburg for the 19-year-old forward who is powerful and pacy. Tottenham, West Ham and West Brom have made enquiries as have Everton but the pricetag may put them off...

Don't get me wrong I hope he does develop...I just can't see him as a top tier PL striker, he lacks too many of the basic skill sets...No pace, lack of technique, game management etc...He could develop into the Charlie Austin type of level but I can't see more than that. He is a monster and does have a presence and can mix it (good with his head)....In the PL you need one striker with sheer pace and good close control. If Benitez buys one of those and Mitro could develop within that squad mix. We will need to buy a fair bit and obviously start with those two midfielders with good engines who can get up and down cause without that block you are just losing too many games. The Watford model would be the best to follow as I can't see us spending 100m+ Capoue and one other breaking up play and two hard working forwards one dropping off...Both highly mobile and athletic. Been really impressed with Watford and their match perception that they all know what to do in most circumstances.

Yeah forgot his finishing is suspect as well. He would be a good squad player in the PL but I honestly don't see him as the player who's going to get you 15-20 goals.
