Amost tempted to start a ramos thread. They really were at thier flatter to decieve best tonight, at home as well. There seems to be a tune but no lead guitar.

A good idea hopefully well intentioned but when you think about it where are they going to find 3 million people to stump up 100 quid. O.K you can buy more than 1 share upto 3 miilion pounds worth in fact. Also what happens to the money if they get a few hundred investors but end up well short of the sum Ashley wants? No harm in some form of supporter ownership remember those shares we used to have? They would be better approaching a viable new owner with a proposal of the supporters owning say 20% of the business. You set up a holding company first and lay out a plan to buy shares over a few years. The company operates like any other company with a board etc..Ultimately this 'vehicle' with expert advise and access at some point to greater finance (partners) borrows the rest to buy the club.

Since he took it into private ownership (not sure of the structure) he will be liable for debts. There are very strong rules in the U.K. reg best practice and director responsabilities. I'm assuming that the club is still a limited company and if so then he wouldn't be liable for debts unless he has personally guaranteed them. But given the amounts he has already invested in buying the club and supposedly paying the debts off then it wouldn't make any sense to run the club into the ground. This is a myth about Ltd's if it can be proven you've mishandled your priveledges/responsibilities as a director you and your assets are still liable. It is not a myth, the veil of incorporation will only be pierced in exceptional circumstances e.g. carrying on business knowing that you've no chance of avoiding liquidation, even then it is very hard to prove. You have to be pretty fucking stupid to be caught out by it. It's what I said without all the technical spiel.

Where's the telly money? Hasn't the tv money already been spent by FFS? The Northern Rock money has gone too (thanks freddie). Going off the transfer window - 10.5mil for Colo, + 7mil for Xisco + Spidy (was that 6mil?) = 23.5mil. Plus whatever we've paid for the loan of Guitterez We got 12 for Milner, but wasn't that partially on the basis we were going to get the other guy that pulled out at the last minute, so some of the 12 would have been spent? We haven't spent very much. Xisco was 5.2, Colo 9.1 and Spidey hasn't been declared, we might even have got him for a nominal fee if in reality he did buy out his contract (say 5m for arguments sake). We got money if from Lazio 2.5? And another 2.25 from Stoke and 12m for Milner. Can't remember when the telly money comes. Someone on here will know. Edit: Emre £6m??

It's the ideas that need to impress to be fair. And having scoffed at stuff like this in the past (as recently as a couple of days ago), I'm pretty impressed with their ideas. At the end of the day if we all just say "It'll never work", then it'll never work. I'd chuck some money at them for shares if it looked like this was getting off the ground. Count me in.

I was toying with the idea that pitching some of Romans richer Russian mates as a kind of my club v yours scenario. A kind of FM in real life.

Said this before but I don't think he ever intended to go on Saturday. By saying he might go he thought probably thought he'd sell more tickets (it was a bigger crowd than Bolton as well I think). He's now using this to make the fans look like they've turned on this benevolent family man. Which is total fucking bullshit. Oh well, I guess its back to the $200,000 night outs for him.

Well they're all mates together aren't they? They have each other's back, so to speak. That's why I think they are only paying lip service to this structure philosophy and haven't really taken it that seriously.
