  1. When did the Fed start printing the dollah? [conspiracycorner\]
  2. Sensible comments for sure. It doesn't have to be a war on the other hand I don't mind seeing a bit of 'enthusiasm' from the current quango/corum.
  3. i'm not saying boumsong was great but imo he was judged harshly and a few slips were his main mistakes. to say taylor is a better defender is laughable though. If you'd bothered to read what I said, I was actually saying was that Taylor is better suited to the PL. If you'd bothered to read what I said, i never actually said that you said taylor is the better player. ketsbaia was the one saying it Why quote Alex then? because the first part of my comment was a reply to him The circle is squared...or summat....
  4. I'm just happy to have guided the diatribe away from the poor downtrodden single parents and onto the real criminals. If your job is to make profit for the organisation who pays you and you are breaking no laws by doing so...would you not do the same? Because I will hunt you down.
  5. so taylor is better than boumsong? taylor and col are our 1st choice centre backs so don't bring cacapa or bassong into this because so some reason the manager won't pick them over taylor. Yes. He made Bramble look good for fucks sake. silly man. boumsong hasn't exactly done bad for himself since leaving either He ended up playing for the reserves while at Juve. His stint at Lyon hasn't been too bad but they steamroller every fucker else in the league every year. Cacapa was one of their star players for fucks sake Boumsong is always in the French national set up but that's because Domenech is a nutter who admits to picking his side based on star signs and the like. He's an athlete, he's not a defender. Defenders should be able to win a tussle with Peter Crouch. aload of shit about the national team. the manager might say he bases his team on that but i don't believe him. was he just lucky that all the best french players have the right star sign to be in the team? Yes, so Domenech is openly making himself look like a complete fool on purpose He dropped Pires, Mexes and Guily because of their star signs when he first got the job. The bloke is a fruit. 2 of them are 34+ though aren't they?

  8. i'm not saying boumsong was great but imo he was judged harshly and a few slips were his main mistakes. to say taylor is a better defender is laughable though. Taylor is a better player because he looks like he has a vague idea how to do the basics of defending. Boumsong didn't. Waves his arms around very well too.
  9. Basically the French league is easy.
  10. Needs the cash, Posh's alleged diet of unfertilized human eggs doesn't come cheap, and that's before you take face cream bill into account. She loves the face cream innit.
  11. Not in Star Trek. They get paid in space dust.
  12. He signed with two games left of the year but couldn't play as it was after the then deadline and we were due to play teams still in relegation trouble who wouldn't allow him to play. At the start of the next season I think he only played about 6 or 7 - certainly not 20 and was offered a get out to go home. The probem was we had him and John Hendrie up front and the newly signed Beasant couldn't stop banging the ball up to them Wimbledon style - I can remember who the midfield was (Bogie?) but they didn't help. Basically the old board + McFaul took the easy way out in sending him back. That's right because we asked West Ham if he could play against them it was April when we signed him. Bogie was wank, but he played more than 6 games easily 20 in all competitions I would say, and we weren't all long ball, we played well when we won at Anfield, and that first half against Spurs was the best I'd seen in ages. The thing is as well, long ball WAS the Scottish game, with dodgier elbows and tackles flying about than anywhere. The fact is with that sort of record he was a major flop. Wasn't there a phase where Bogie was meant to be the new Gazza? Or am I getting him mixed up?
  13. ...but he was playing on the side they were "supporting". If Hitler was playing for your team would you boo him? [/threadover] But I do think it's because he seems an utter twat (utterly damned by his own words in fact), and probably playing in London doesn't help. The media reaction to Beckham's petulant kick was OTT, but really he probably got off lightly with the fans, his "mistake" was just completely un-needed and avoidable (or at least if you feel you really have to get revenge at least do some proper damage and not just a backheeled tap on the leg ). Why in gods name does he keep releasing those ponging after-shaves?
  14. If everyone was employed there would be hyper-inflation.
  15. I suggest that is because the catalyst for it starting was to get rid of Ashley (will I have to repeat this again later?). Over time it will morph into the coffee morning, scrabble playing, chin wagging thing everyone is longing for. As most people are saying it is a good thing and will become more balanced over time. No, it will have put off far too many people. The good idea will fade away quicker than a fart even before the organisation gets a chance to become more balanced.

  17. Glad to see you share our concerns, most would welcome a supporters group that gave a measured and dignified voice to the fans rather than the somewhat manic militant ramblings we are seeing so far. What if Ashley is still here next summer? You think a Supporters group will have any effect on speeding up his departure ? If a few mongs with some banners can make him try and sell.... The supporters group over the long term will be a very decent thing. I'm aghast people are judging something so much in its infancy. I think it's job-done in terms of getting Ashley to sell up, it's now just a matter of proceedure before he's gone, I agree a supporters group is a decent thing too, however, in my humble opinion is thus far shooting itself in the foot and is fast losing crediblity. I hope it is salvageable. SO do I, I agree on all things you've said there apart from the job done bit, him sticking a ridiculous price tag on and whoring his way round the world in an attempt to piss off all possible buyers wasnt a valid attempt to sell imho. My belief still stands he will sell to the highest bidder or the one most likely to fail. The ridiculous price tag is a clue.
  18. Sorry mate, that is just ludacris. The smirker and the lurker would be all ears I'm sure.
