It started in a galaxy far far away in another place and at another time....

"Time will be the great teller but one thing I do know is that I'm sober and I've not had a drink for ten months - since Dec 27," said Barton who may return to action in Saturday's Tyne-Wear derby at Sunderland. "I've had problems with alcohol in the past and the thing I went to jail for was alcohol-related. I'm not using that as an excuse. It was my own stupidity." JB

90 was the most painful as we had the team to go all the way.

Levy. Could you elucidate a touch? Levy as a CEO of a PLC is a fantastic. Under his tenure we have begun to turn an operating profit and we have no real debt. However football is a business unlike any other. The forces of competition do not apply. Fans cannot go elsewhere. He has continually jacked the prices up to a point where a lot of the old guard are being priced out of the game. His transfer policy is to squeeze every penny out of every last deal, buy and sell to maximise profit for the club at the expense of the playing staff. Arshavin was there for the taking as was Militio during the summer but instead he ended up playing hard ball and losing both. We end up sellling the crown jewells on deadline day and replacing him with a cup tied russian who has played a season already and teenage loanee. Agreed. Personally I think Commoli is also partly to blame. Doesn't have a strong enough personality for me, as he really needs to stand up for the needs of the playing side. Am I reading this right?

Danny: Who do you blame for the current situation?

The idea that any of the highlighted managers would take the Tottenham job, the fact they've even been put in the poll proves how deluded they are. Klinsmann he's going to leave one of the biggest clubs in Europe, for a team not in England's biggest 8 right oh Hughes biggest spending budget in world football to scrapping about for 19 year old loanees from bigger club Hiddink stop it Mourinho stop it ahahahahaha me ribs feel like I've been 12 rounds with Joe Louis Rijkaard incredible I think it is a poll of who people would like, not who they think will be next. What a pointless poll. I might start one on here how much would you like to win on the lottery. The delusion meter is broken.

Not considered apparently cause he doesn't speak Dutch, Spanish or Italian.

New manager - who? Keane (27.1%) Hughes (4.7%) Bruce (2.4%) Venables (4.7%) Jol (14.1%) Allaydice (2.4%) Hiddink (8.2%) Curbishley (2.4%) Moyes (0%) Klinsmann (1.2%) Poyet (2.4%) Hoddle (5.9%) Rijkaard (1.2%) Mourinho (0%) Keep Ramos (23.5%) From a poll on the Spurs board. Personally I think they need to stick with Ramos till it is mathematically clear they are relegated.

He's a shit keeper, he plays for a club who have told everyone they're a massive club enough times for many years, people actually believe it!!! It's the same with Boruc, go on any Celtic MB, they have him down as the best keeper in Europe, he's astonishingly shit, feels like I'm the only one who can see it. The handling and stickabitlity of a whisk.

At a time when the City's former high-fliers are patching up their wings and even nostalgic talk of bonuses can curdle a friendly conversation, there is still one master of the universe prepared to fight for what he is owed. Or at least what he believes he is owed. Alexandre Mouradian, a 38-year-old trader with the Paris-based Tradition Securities and Futures, is suing his employers, claiming they shortchanged him over £92,571 of the £1.32m bonus he awarded himself from a bonus pool two years ago. Mouradian, who earns £1.6m as head of the company's exchange-traded options desk, has brought his case to the court of appeal under the Employment Rights Act, which prohibits the unlawful deduction of an employee's wages. Although Mouradian is paid a basic salary of £300,000 to manage a team of seven employees and one consultant in London, his contract stipulates that his desk is allowed to split a bonus pool amounting to 60% of its net billed income twice a year. Mouradian claims he was in charge of deciding how the pooled money was to be shared. For the second half of 2006, the bonus purse contained £1.43m. Two members of his team received payments of £60,000 and £47,000, while another was given £2,000. The remaining desk employees were awarded nothing. However, documents submitted to the court show that Mouradian awarded £1.32m - or 92% of the total bonus pool - to himself. Sell gold buy monkey nuts.

Just been talking about that with a jock client of mine who's a big rugby fan. Middle of the park ref full autonomy anything in the box video ref. As long as 'middle of the park' ref has a choice (his choice) to go to video, I don't see a problem with it. Of course Uefa and Fifa are going to find it harder manipulating competitions/suppressing African nations/ smaller clubs/ elite - masonic - pope driven - serieA - betting syndicates etc....
