  1. Always very good articles on there from people who care about the club.
  2. Gives us a bell when you're in Ham or Berlin, Meenz has the number. Actually 22 Feb we need to tickets for the St Pauli match, wanna help? We promise not to tease you because your frau insists on you sitting down to piss! We promise! I'll look into it mate.
  3. Been to Vegas twice. Love it there. No sleep, burgers delivered to room and my mind bending hotel worrying knack at roulette.
  4. Really sad when these things happen, but terribly selfish also. I've felt remotely suicidal at times and I'm sure many people have, but life can be made worthwhile with a change of attitude towards it and surrounding yourself with positive things. It's sad that guy chose to commit suicide, but he had family and responsibility - you just can't kill yourself in those situations, however bad you feel at the time. Thinking about killing yersel is scary enough, nerver mind actually doing it! After watching that Alzheimers (sp) prog last night, both myself and mrs hips said we would not want to end up like some of the sufferers seen and 'ending it' would be very appealing. Crying like a bairn at times I was, it was so sad What was that? The TVAM lass, Fiona Phillips, was highlighting the inadequacies of help for sufferers and their families. Phillips' mother died of Alz and now her father is suffering from it. CH 4, btw. Sorry, what did you say?
  5. Shame he only plays RB when going forward Tom. For some reason he seems to think defending as a RB involves standing between Colo and Bassong. I know we need numbers but I'll pay Arsenal to fucking take him. Anyone figured out who or what he points at incessantly? I'm positive Saturday when he was pointing for the goal, he was mouthing, "I should be over there, I should be over there!!!" Or maybe he's just helping out the opposition so they can see where we don't have defenders.

  9. What happenned to the superlative and informed scouting structure? What happenned to the 12m made available? The club are really showing an immense lack of imagination in this window. A couple of people off here sat around a table with a couple of phones for a day could get better players.
  10. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7824731.stm Not the tens of thousands of (mostly gun related) homicides by Americans on Americans every year. Not the millions of people below the poverty line without access to medicine. Not the thousands of deaths and many more homeless from natural diasters like Katrina for which defences are still ill prepared for and which are encouraged by environmental policy. Not the trillions of tax payer dollars being handed over to private businesses in the hope of triggering a stimulus, rather than being used by the government ensuring work by providing municipal jobs. But the threat that apparently STILL lingers as a consequence of 3000 people being killed almost a decade ago despite throwing 2 to 3 trillion $ at the problem since. Fuck off Bush. What's absolutley terrifying is the fact that I'm sure Mr. Bush actually believes this to be true. He has no ulterior motives, he actually believes this. Almost 7.5 years later and he still thinks we're under constant threat by the evil terrorists. The bailout, disaster areas, near total corruption of the politcal and legislative systems, and the inevitable collapse of our manufacturing industry all takes a backseat to a problem that could've been fixed with A LOCK ON THE FUCKING DOOR TO THE COCKPIT. I mean, seriously. This shit would be hilarious if it wasn't true. And people wonder why I get high. Do you believe that a bunch of slackers who paid cash for their tickets and argued about car parking space flew jets into buildings? Now THAT is terrifying.
  11. Talks between Benítez's agent, Manuel Garcia Quilon, and Liverpool's co-owners have come to a standstill over the fundamental issue of who dictates transfer policy at the club, with neither party currently willing to back down. The new contract, which will extend Benítez's career at Anfield until 2013 and provide an increase on his current £3.5m-a-year salary, is now at risk of collapse unless a compromise can be found. At present Benítez recommends who is bought and sold to Hicks and Gillett plus the Liverpool chief executive, Rick Parry, who then decide the player's value, what the club can afford – in relation to purchases – and divide the transfer budget accordingly. In future, however, the Liverpool manager wants to dispense with the existing chain of command and operate on his own terms, setting the valuation on players providing the transfer budget allows. Benítez is, in effect, trying to ensure there is no repeat of last summer's exhaustive and unsuccessful pursuit of Gareth Barry, the Aston Villa midfielder he envisaged as a replacement for Xabi Alonso but missed out on when Liverpool's owners refused to meet Villa's £18m asking price. Hicks and Gillett said the Barry deal collapsed over the price tag and not because they lacked the necessary funds, having agreed a £20.3m deal for Robbie Keane, and the Liverpool manager believes his judgment was undermined.

  13. I've got Toon Apathy like never before. Aye, it comes and goes. I do believe we are catching Blackburn just at the right time, what with listening to fat Sam and his loud haler all week they'll be weary and dejected. If not dazed and confused, if not a 'spent force'.
  14. 27 reads and no get go! You dopey, depressed fuckers.
  15. If you have a family it simply isn't an option. You've got to see it through whatever the hassles are.
  16. Thing is Modric needs a minder and they don't have one. Keep booting the ball out to the wingers who can't cross etc......
  17. I've got that winning feeling again. Big Sam will be playing for a draw as usual so Owen to nick it.
  18. Probably up until the point they started calling him a terrorist on FOX.
  19. There was that one bit where he tried to play a one two and made like he was running into the box...Err You misplaced the pass muppet.
