To an extent but the indoctrination of children also ultimately encourages discord, intolerance and bigotry throughout society. Plenty of examples of this, from Northern Ireland to Israel. Not to mention here, clearly. I agree. The indoctrination of children is a hideous crime.

*flap hands* *point animatedly* His pointing always makes me laugh as often there is nobody there. Stupid fuck.

People need to be able to/encouraged to celebrate their differences, not all try and become the same. The complex web of motivations and desires that drive our society enriches it.

Is this the equality you're talking about Foppy? Metropolitan police pays Muslim man damages over assaults Babar Ahmad was subjected to prolonged, repeated and gratuitous assaults and religious insults during his arrest, court hears Rachel Williams and agencies guardian.co.uk, Wednesday 18 March 2009 13.09 GMT Article history The Metropolitan police today agreed to pay £60,000 damages to a British Muslim man accused of raising funds for terrorism after admitting in the high court that arresting officers subjected him to a prolonged series of violent assaults and religious abuse. One of the unnamed officers allegedly involved in what happened to Babar Ahmad is to face criminal proceedings, Mr Justice Holroyde heard. Ahmad, a 34-year-old IT support analyst, was in court to hear lawyers for the Met commissioner, Sir Paul Stephenson, concede that Ahmad had been the victim of gratuitous violence by specialist officers during a dawn arrest at his home in Tooting, south-west London, in December 2003. The court had been told Ahmad was punched, kicked and strangled during his arrest. Ahmad was dragged from his bed and rammed against a window before being repeatedly beaten by officers dressed in riot gear, the court heard. During what his counsel, Phillippa Kaufmann, described as a "prolonged and violent series of gratuitous assaults", Ahmad claims officers forced him into the Muslim prayer position before shouting "Where is your God now? … Pray to him."

It's like a textual version of a Morrissey album. Depressing and wildly melodramatic.

Title of the thread says it all really.

By the title I thought it was Tarantino's next project.

what is the ban for smoking over there? Here the ban is for restaurants and bars/pubs but the private clubs (i.e. fraternal orders, legions etc.) can get around it because the people behind the bars and waiting tables are volunteers and therefore not covered by worker compensation which was the real catalyst. personally I think it's not such a bad idea, i enjoy not smoking a pack and a half of second hand cig's while I'm out and about, and my clothes don't reek like an ashtray, I'd have to say they probably have the "smoking" ban in the right places IMO as far as raising taxes on booze, in BC we already have some of the highest prices in Canada and there is another raise coming for hard liquor.....about $1.30 / liter. It's funny to me that wine is cheaper in the UK than it is here ( i live in the Okanagan, wine country for fucks sake), damn government!!!! Are you smoking for free you cunt?

This nanny stuff is ridiculous. Adults should be allowed to indulge whatever vice they want whenever they want. Exactly. The whole point of vices is they are bad for you. It's what being an adult is all about. Instead you get some jumped up Colonel Bufton-Tufton type telling you what's good for you. Every time one of these spokesmen appears on the telly they should be pelted with rotten fruit and sent packing like the humbugs and hypcrites they are. Pack the fuckers off to N.Z.

No, not accepting it's every bit as bad as any other example of institutional racism does (and that it had nothing to do with numbers as the other examples show). And yes I believe hitting a police officer with a stick or a traffic cone or a bit of metal fencing (or any of the other incidents shown is illegal), and usually warrants a little more than a "calm down, just calm down". In fact being pushed seemingly allows some one to be beaten into bloody unconsciousness by the police in other circumstances. Freedom of Speech is a vitally important thing, but then so is the freedom to be policed equally (irrespective of race, creed or time of the month). You don't seem to understand the basic linkage between Home Office policy and policing with regard to particular scenarios. With this ignorance in mind you happily quoted the miners strike earlier. I really don't need to explain do I?

What will happen if News Corp hit financial trouble?
Park Life replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
"The News Corporation, the media empire controlled by Mr. Murdoch, said Thursday that it lost $6.4 billion in its second quarter as profit fell sharply at its television and movie units. The company also took a large write-down of $8.4 billion, about $3 billion of which reflected a decline in the value of the company’s newspaper unit, which includes Dow Jones, the publisher of The Wall Street Journal. Many media analysts believed that News Corp. overpaid when it bought Dow Jones just over a year ago for about $5 billion, and the write-down indicates that it lost significant value." -
Freedom of speach as long as it is legal Renton, that is what you appear to be glossing over. What they are doing is illegal, if I racially abused them I would be locked up, they are inciting hatred and should be punished. Its not hard. could you make out something other than "free palestine" and "allah akbar" in the video? from Wiki, but also found in the act itself(section 29J) "The Racial and Religious Hatred Act 2006 amended the Public Order Act 1986 by adding Part 3A. That Part says, "A person who uses threatening words or behaviour, or displays any written material which is threatening, is guilty of an offence if he intends thereby to stir up religious hatred." The Part protects freedom of expression by stating in Section 29J: Nothing in this Part shall be read or given effect in a way which prohibits or restricts discussion, criticism or expressions of antipathy, dislike, ridicule, insult or abuse of particular religions or the beliefs or practices of their adherents, or of any other belief system or the beliefs or practices of its adherents, or proselytising or urging adherents of a different religion or belief system to cease practising their religion or belief system." ha ha nice find.

It's coming baby, the darkness will unfold. Taking 3 of the top four with it ideally. I predicted the end of the $ and the finance markets over a year ago. -
Could be that too many on here on hyper sensitive to any criticism of NUSC I wonder why That might have sounded good in your head, but since I've never once discussed the ins-and-outs of NUSC (largely because I have no strong opinion on the subject) any insinuation that I have a pro-NUSC agenda doesn't make a lot of sense. Like most of your posts really You, on the other hand, are all over anything relating to them. I've not read it but I imagine the like-minded folk at Window-Lickers Offline are much the same. You do love yourself dont you You're coming across as a bit of a buffoon mate. I suggest you calm down a bit. Listen, if you all want to have a love in and only congratulate yourselves on having the same opinion, or in onions case no opinion, then thats fine, enjoy it. But some of us on here do have a different point of view and like to stick it out there now and again. While this remains a PUBLIC OPEN forum, I will continue. If onion and the like want to drop into a thread, and drop in little one liners without any debate, then they can at the very least expect a little back. When they start speaking down their fucking noses like a condescending little prick, they can fuck right off. I think you were too subtle with your anti-NUSC agenda.
