so whats gained by doing this then? I understood the 3 year plan, club gets cash in early, fans save money, everyones a winner (well until we were relegated and everyone else had a price freeze as well). But whats gained by the club on doing this? I can only guess at two possibles and anyone with more knowledge on finances (ie any knowledge) feel free to put me right on this. 1. It works as a sales pitch for the club ie there a "guaranteed" income in ST sales for next 9 years. 2. Same again but as a form of "proof of income" for a loan, overdraft etc.

That's what I am on ffs. BR. BR means you're paying 20% on your entire income, as I understand it. Meaning you're not getting the 6k tax-free earnings. However, I include the following caveat; I know fuck all about tax Yep, although how the fuck were you on it for 2 years? If you're on BR then chances are you've recently changed jobs, getting your P45 to your employer should be enough to fix it, if the P45 has BR on it then you've more than likely been paying over the odds in that job too.

I dont think that Boycotting works to force an owners hand, as has been said the reliance on gate money isnt anything like it used to be. What boycotting games does do is highlight the cause. An SJP thats half full will always get the headlines and bring attention to the protests. Ultimately though there would be other ways to do that inside the ground. Ive seen talk of numerous things thought of by other clubs, Man U's scarfes, the wearing of black etc instead of team colours all give a better statement. I do believe that there will be a huge drop in ST sales this year, the 3 year plan does have about 5k in it and many are pee'd off at the fact they couldnt just drop it when we went down. Many more ST holders that I know of are also saying they wont be renewing unless they see the bulk of that money spent on players. That in itself isnt going to happen because the date for renewals will no doubt be earlier again this year. One thing to remember is that there is no waiting list, no worries about being able to buy an ST nearer the start of the season. If you're not happy then dont renew and hold out to see what happens. Worst case scenario is that you dont get the exact seat you have now.

For me this is more worrying than the move its the fact there must be a reason behind it. My thoughts are that the most vocal part of the ground is the place where the most abuse/ resistance etc is loudest. Get rid of that and disperse them and you've quitened down protests. Are they expecting renewed ones? I reckon so.

well it looks like they wont have a problem when they do this in the Summer then, no more singing corner, no more Ultras and everyone thats currently there spread around the ground rather than being moved to a specific area to keep the atmosphere.
