  1. any rumours you wanna share, by pm if neccesary? Nah none, just the stuff thats gone on previously ie the police raid on his house and removal of his cars.
  2. Terminal 5 is awful like, its not geared towards the average punter. Give me Stansted any day of the week, nice comfy area to plug the laptop in and relax unlike T5 where the only place to find a plug is in the bogs.
  3. Ive said this for a while now, theres something dodgy going on with Guthrie, hes not been seen for weeks, his house has sat empty for about a month but hes not actually moved out.
  4. I know this kidda from somewhere, judging by the houses in the pics Id guess he could live in Blakelaw so thats not it. Definitely has the look of a civil servant, its the shifty eyes that do it.
  5. Seriously, why would you get rid of any of these, we dont have cover, yes Smith, Campbell and Xisco because they're either overpaid or in Xiscos case unlikely to get a game while we still have a womens team we can call on.
  6. Its the number of posters who say they'd "give you one"
  7. I farily regularly fly down there although its usually when Im going sormewhere on the outskirts. To Heathrow its BA and if you book early enough can get it for £40, leaves about 7am and you're on the ground by 8. EasyJet used to do Stansted at about the same time but theyve just cancelled it, FlyBe do a flight to Gatwick at 7.30 which again takes just over an hour. All 3 airports have a fast shuttle into London Centre which takes about 20mins/half an hour expect to add another tenner per journey though to the cost. Online check in means you can get to the airport 40mins before the flight leaves without any problems. At the same time I like the train to Kings X and they do a frequent user scheme where if you spend £1800 in 3 months you get a load of freebies and access into the First Class lounge which is much more relaxed and you can get a beer.
  8. 17 and just like the man himself I like to feel its quality not quantity.
  9. Must admit I didn't think it was you... why? cos its funny?
  10. I said that a long, long time ago. Me doing the questions. Not for nothing, if you knock up 20 questions, I'll definitely support it's introduction by bribing the good and the great of Toontastic Should be a points system. You need 50% to get in. 10 questions about the toon (3 points for each correct answer). 10 questions about football in general, and a 200 word written statement "why you aren't a mug". To be given a mark out of forty by a panel of five appointed adjudicators. Bit unfair like, half the Admin team, myself included wouldnt be allowed on
  11. Trophy signing then get rid when they come good.
  12. I saw the title and assumed Fish wanted fashion tips for a job interview.
  13. anyone understand it? Ive set up a new account and have verified it yet none of its tweets are showing up other than on my timeline. I check the hashtags Ive used and theyre not showing in there. Plus no matter what I do I cant seem to change the profile pic, the options just not where it should be?
  14. One of the lads is called Jordan, he was quite instrumental in the Ultras and is a member on here (but Im fooked if I can remember his username!). From what I remember he was the sensible face of the Ultras, attempting to get dialogue with other groups etc, Wraith set up the meeting with the club, something that NUST should have been doing 12 months ago. SW has a good relationship with the club regardless of the fact he has and is critical of things it does, that shows that it is possible to garner a relationship with the "enemy" as such. NUST wouldnt use that relationship purely because SW runs a fanzine in direct competition with the "ex" chair, thats no way to run a diplomatic organisation.
  15. Tell that to Sir Alex Im sure he'd argue you can.
  16. I would argue that the basic strategy of "speculate to accumulate" will always be the way to go. In the same way as buying yourself a Porsche 911 will give you the thrill of the speed but its never going to win you the F1 championships. How you go about getting the money to do it is where the problems come in. In the past we had easy credit and the means to pay it back therefore it wasnt a problem. Now, as you say we dont have that luxury via the banks, we should however have had some leeway under a seriously rich owner who allegedly wanted to "have some fun". Im not saying he should be splashing £100m here and doing a Man City but we should have been able to accept a logic of "topping up" what we bring in with some of his own cash to move us forward.
  17. Every player has a price and if someone comes in with stupid money like they did for Carroll then its bye bye. If the money is re invested in the club then what's the problem?? Also if he wants to asset strip I'm sure he could have flogged Jose,Collo and Jonas by now Its not a case of asset stripping, its a case that every player is basically purchased and played with the ultimate aim to shift them on at a canny profit. Turning us from a football club into a shop window. ie have a good scouting network that unearthes young, lower league or foreign talent, buys them cheaply, pays them a fairly low wage and then when they hit the big time sell em on at a profit. Every player has their price, trouble is ours arent the silly, Carroll type amounts that mean we hold onto them, Carroll would have been sold at £20m it was simply Liverpools stupidity that meant we got a lot more. e'll have valued the likes of Tiote at an amount they can see as being good profit yet still likely to mean we get willing buyers. Id guess £10m would see him pushed out the door. The 6 for Enrique being a valid value based on the shortness of his contract. Chelsea's surely? Id say Liverpools, they could have paid us £25m, still sold Torres for 50 and pocketed an extra 10, this logic of we want to make £15m seems ludicrous to me, it should be a guide to what you'll be happy with but not laid down in stone. Either way, the only set of fans to end up unhappy in this will ultimately be us, although Chelsea possibly could be narked based on his start!
