  1. I regularly have problems with the timeline, often I'll lose entire days or chunks of hours from it. For example, yesterday at 11am my timeline jumped from 2 hours ago to 17 hours ago with nothing in between, not even anything Id tweeted myself.

WTF is that? Looks like something you'd see on an STI warning poster
  4. Theres fuck all left to buy in the supermarkets there, and all the cars are full of seawater. By the way, if anyone hasn't seen it, get a copy of Tsunami Caught on Camera. It's the story of the 2004 boxing day tsunami, told almost exclusively through the home videos of people that were there. And it's terrifying. No riots though Imagine the scenes in Stoke, Sunlun, etc etc: blood on the aisles, as Enoch might or might not have said So no change then? Just a normal Tuesday afternoon in Stoke. Anyway, more importantly how big is his heed? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-12755739
  5. QFT Its the weirdest place on earth, no real town centre. Maybe have a wander into Hanley or take in the Cultural Quarter (irony at its best) Theres a pub on the retail park where the ground is, one of those soulless Beefeaters or the like. Chances are though you'll get your head caved in from some fat bloke who'll call you duck as he boots you. Last time I went to the ground was Allardyces last match, the soul destroying 0-0 on a cold wet Sunday evening. The entire corner of their ground took no interest in the game, merely stood baiting our end, with their tops off, they remind me of that Phones 4 U advert set in the Indian Wrestlers camp. Anyone wondering whether to watch the Cup final if they get there should relive that game to see why paint drying would be a preferable option.
  6. Fuck me hes a work of art this kidda like. so in between racially abusing players and wishing people dead he still has time to get deeply and emotionally involved in Coach Trip. screwball scramble.
  7. Well now thats been cleared up we might need this to write the welcome banners. http://www.tamilcube.com/translate/gujarati.aspx વેલ્કોમએ તો નેવ્કાસ્ત્લે પ્લેઅસે ડોન્ટ ફૂચ્ક ઉસ ઓવેર.
  8. It started well before that. There was a thread on the old toon-chat board about buying a combi-boiler or something, that's where it originated. That 'Bizarre' thread is superb tho A classic in its time.
  9. They made spaghetti for your cock? Spaghetti Bollocknese?
  10. We play Villa on the 10th April and as a result have a free day on the 9th, theres a campaign to get people to go to Northern League games that day to try and help out as a number of clubs are in financial difficulties. Ryton in particular are in danger of going to the wall at the end of the season. Some info on the day: http://northernleagueday.wordpress.com/ http://www.northernleague.org/index.php Ryton are at home to Billingham Synthonia on that day and for a fiver you can help a struggling club out and take in some "proper" football while standing in a bus shelter. It doesnt have to be Ryton though, theres sure to be a game close to you (as long as you live in the North East). Tyneside/Northumberland clubs are: Whitley Bay Newcastle Benfield Dunstin Ryton Jarrow Roofing Ashington West Allotment Celtic South Shields Bedlington Terriers (although they dont need the cash these days!) North Shields Team Northumbria (Play at Coach Lane, Benton) Hebburn Washington Morpeth Im heading along to Ryton which is going to be the centrepoint of the day with local football bloggers meeting up there for what theyve called Socrates Ryton, mayb e we should have a Toontastic get together, couple of pints and a different match.
  11. Arsenal home 76/77 season, 2 nil defeat (only defeat at home that season!)
  12. it was dead on Friday lunchtime when we went, like I say everything was spot on. Maybe theyve got two wildly differing chefs. Is turning up going to be the new Russian Roulette?
  13. Went to a place called La Gabbia in Shieldfield on Friday lunchtime after it was part of a Groupon deal. Have to say it was spot on, really nice surroundings (even though the area was shite) and the food was fantastic plus a good selection of cocktails and Malts for the connoisseurs. They have a small menu but the quality was possibly the best Ive ever had and that includes the couple of meals I had in Italy. The service was first class and they couldnt do enough for the little fella, making him seperate bowls of spaghetti and bolognese and ensuring he was kept entertained. If you're around Ouseburn then its worth the extra bit walk up the hill (its behind the Biscuit Factory). That is all.
  14. of course it would have been easier to delete the name if you hadnt kept bastard quoting it
  15. Waddle, Gazza, Robson, Fenwick, Hazard, Pickering, Bruce all born outside Newcastle so that only leaves Beardsley, Shearer, Pickering and Laws from your list who would qualify.
  16. wasnt it the main reason Keegan stated for leaving? the fact we agreed a purchase based on youTube so we could do a South American agent a "favour" in return for first pick of the new talent from round that way. Well that worked fucking wonders didnt it?
  17. I can only assume its something to do with the education system here, maybe Newcastle council doesnt promote sports enough, Im just summising here though because I have no knowledge of what goes on in the education system. Maybe its the local scouting network to blame, maybe theres not enough clubs like Wallsend Boys to bring out the best in the local talent. I havent really got a clue to be honest but its one thing that I dont think the club is to blame for and if it was then its pre-Ashley. Without the knowledge of it Id assume the process is: Kids play for school teams, get spotted and poached by the likes of Wallsend Boys. scouts see them playing at that level and get them a club, whether thats a Premiership one or a lower league where somewhere along the lines they get picked up by Premiership. I cant imagine its a lack of interest, we live and breathe football up here, from the day theyre born, fathers dream of their sons making it big so I cant see it as a family thing, that to me means its either the schools or the boys clubs. Tell you who will know better StevieToon, hes involved in youngsters football coaching so he'll have a better idea.
  18. I'll copy you into the email I received from the new Chair Michael, communication isnt always his strong point it has to be said.
  19. I wonder if hes living here? understandable that you wouldnt want to move the family lock, stock and barrel but I expect him to live here in a hotel or whatever with or without the missus and kids, not commute every day.
  20. bringing in 4 to 5 yet we're a top player down from January, allegedly agreed another one is going so even if no more go then we've only strengthened by 2 or 3. Enrique out puts us down to 1 or 2 and thats without knowing whats happening with Barton etc. ANd thats not taking into account that every statement out of the club has generally been jazzed up to make it sound better so for 4 - 5 read 3 -4 or even 2 - 3.
  21. might want to pass on the FlyBe to Gatwick route http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-12642524
  22. Its all well and good cutting your ties but he obviously doesnt know Ashley if he thinks hes automatically going to get a move here. In a couple of months he could well be a Villa player again and facing the wrath of the fans.
