Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
peasepud replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
I would say thats totally and utterly wrong. The role of scouts is to find young, untapped talent, highlight those players that the manager would not have had a chance to see himself. I wouldnt say its to fill specific gaps in the squad or to replace players leaving. Do you think that we sold Cole and a scout was told "we need a striker to replace Andy Cole" "got you the ideal one here boss, bloke called Shearer, plays for Blackburn" "oh aye? is he any good?" Managers know the players they want, Dalglish didnt rely on a scout to find Carroll nor has Enrique been recommended to Wenger at some finance meeting by a scout. Scouts should be there to do exactly what Carr has been tasked with, find young foreign or lower league talent that will be cheap. The difference is he appears to be doing that for all the squad places rather than Pardew building his team and topping up the squad with scout found purchases. I could be wrong with that assesment but its how it appears from the outside. The big difference to you assessment is that we are shopping abroad and not in the UK. Very easy when your a top club with big bucks to cherry pick the premiership talent as you imply with Enrique and Shearer. But not so when its finding the Tiotes of this world. No modern day manager has the time or the resources to have the whole market place covered. Hold on, all youve just done is back up what I said? I would have thought I made that clear in the "...find young foreign or lower league talent..." statement. Your original post makes out that the purchase of players follows a pattern of Manager decides he needs 1st team positions x, y and z filling as well as the squad increasing Club states how much can be spent Scout finds all required players My post states that isnt what happens, manager needs to fill x,y and z and has players in mind to fill them, players that he wants to build a team around or that he believes will add to what hes already got planned, scouts will recommend players for the squad or will highlight players they think fit into managers style purely to make him aware and allow him to then research them, watch them etc and make their own decision. Carr would appear to be an excellent scout however the role he could well have here is of "chief buyer" hunting out exciting new "product lines" to be put in the shop window and sold at a profit later. Hopefully Im wrong on that.- 10610 replies

How can anyone give any kind of individual scorer predictions at any stage never mind when you dont know who they'll be playing alongside or what formation we'll play?

Thats the thing, as far as my mate was concerned he could name a dozen Northern League players off the top of his head that were better than him.

Thats looks and sounds a lovely site however for next weekend I need one within 15 miles of flamingoland as thats where we are taking the bairns on the Sunday. Any suggestions welcome. Re the electric hook up, what do you actually use it for? Do you take a telly with you???? I take the laptop and load it up with kids films and stuff and a radio
-
Give this place a go, its got excellent facilities, spotlessly clean shower and toilet facilities, pitches with electric and is in a good spot with a view across to the castle. http://www.springhill-farm.co.uk/ have you got yourself an electric hookup cable as well? we grabbed one off ebay for about £12 I think. oh and Tesco have a double stove with grill for about 30quid.

well it looks like I got here just in time. Im one of them bastards. Its all well and good to say that our pensions have been better than many and it would be true but that was the terms of our agreements, the terms of the contract I signed when I chose that employment over some little software house up the road, after all theres no future in Accounting software I thought The same terms that year after year have resulted in minimal, if any, pay rise always under the argument of "look at your pension, be thankful for that and the fact its a final salary, plus youve got job security so we'll not increase pay in line with inflation." Thats why Im on less money now than I was 6 year ago. The proposed changes which are being forced through are as follows: 1. Increase contribution payments by an average of 3%, Im probably looking at 4%, in real terms for me thats nearly £80 per month pay cut. 2. Move the time I can retire from 60 to 66, in other words I have to work an additional 6 years before I can claim my pension. 3. Reduce the amount I will receive when I do finally get it. As it has gone from a final salary to career average then the difference is significant. I started on about £12k, if I retire on £50k then my average will probably be about £35k, thats a drop of 30% on the amount my pension will be based on. The biggest kick though? the additional £80 per month I'll be paying isnt going into the scheme, its going to help pay off the deficit. In times of austerity when the cost of living is going up, the civil service readily agreed to a 2 year pay freeze. Now they hit us with a tax as well, purely because of who we work for. Over the last 4 years Ive had pay rises averaging around 1 - 1.5% per annum, definitely no rise for the next two years yet Im now expected to take a 4% pay cut? What makes it even worse is, because its not an actual paycut then it wont affect the likes of Child Tax Credits so those who are just over the limit will not drop below and be eligible. With the loss of £500 per annum child tax credits and then a further £900 in pension deductions that puts me £1400 per year worse off before any of the additional costs of living. Times are hard for all of us, the country is screwed however the very people who work towards getting it back on its feet, doing it with less resources and more red tape are being penalised for doing the job. Then theres the redundancy agreement, for years we've had this excellent redundancy package based on the logic that it would never get put into practice. As soon as it is required they change the terms, are taken to court and lose. So they simply change the law.

3 men with speech impediments are in therapy. Therapist is blonde, tall, racked and fit. She says "if you can tell me where you live without stuttering, I'll suck you off" The first stammers BBBBBiBirmingham, 2nd one goes "Mamamamamaaaaanchester". The 3rd, a paddy stands up, composes himself and says "London". She gets his tackle out and gives him the best BJ of his life, as he blows his load he sighs "dududududdery"

what 2 pictures would the press use? ie 1 picture to go with one of the following captions. "Poster x looking angelic, the true horror that was to come nowhere to be seen" or "even at 5, poster x had the look of a true nasty twat" and a recent one of you to go with "poster x, what a bastard" Unfortunately I dont have any images handy but will pull some out later.....honest

Id like to see Michael Richardson go out on loan, my mate manages Shankouse and as far as hes concerned the kid was barely good enough in the Northern league never mind professional. Maybe hes fooled someone getting here or maybe he didnt bother trying at that level. A season playing week in week out at a lower club should prove one way or the other.

tbf i thought you were one before this like
