Apologies I forgot to mention that the paypal is down! Il let you know when it's back up. Thing is you've now given two other big clubs supporters clubs as examples but in both cases they have switched from free to paid membership, doesn't that tell you something? For me it's all about credibility, anyone collect 1000 names and say they're a group. To get them to take part in stuff though is a different matter. You can only be credible if you can prove the members are serious. Paying to join does that IMHO. It also ensures an equal footing among all members, nobody can claim to be better or more important than any other just because they donated. As for the rally or any march people will be taking part regardless of if they are a member or not therefore idont see how that would increase attendance

you support it though? So if that's the case then here's the deal. Join up, send me a pm with your membership number and il get you a spot in the next committee meeting to put forward the case for free membership

that's great if it's true but you have to see why people are sceptical. Are you saying that Nusc never gets a mention on Tyne talk and at the same time you have nothing to add to any other threads on here but plenty over there? The bit I don't understand most though is you saying you wouldn't pay a tenner to join Nusc but would donate a ton if it was free membership? Doesn't make sense tbh why not pay to join and save yourself 90 sheets?

it's actually taking him longer to answer your question than it did to rewrite bohemian rhapsody!

you cannot run the club without money that's one of the reasons for membership fees the other is credibility and that's more important than anything. Free membership will bring with it the makems and other organized spoliers. How can you have proper elections when people can rig them by creating multiple votes? How can you issue newsletters, organise meetings, pay for subs into the FSA etc etc without the cash there? I know you said rely on donations but what if they don't happen? What if we have 10k members but no funds, what if someone donates a grand a year but wants to influence the outcome of votes etc? To me the only credible and workable solution is what we are doing and to be fair the subscription is not the reason people haven't joined (and I do know this because I've asked them). Don't think however that this wasn't debated at the start, it was and heavily.

I think that pissed up twat is going to get lynched
-
Its been mentioned, what has to be remembered is that the price paid by the contractors was based on projections made by the club at the time, if they are well down then if nothing else the companies involved will be hitting Ashley hard.

it depends on the feed, firstly you need an RSS aggregator software (I think Firefox has one built in) then just find the feed you want (from the relevant website) and click the link which will add it to your feeds.

he has lad he posted in the january transfer sticky at the top of the forum yep, give him his dues, hes agreed an amount and we'll just sort out who its payable to. To be honest I have a lot more respect for him because of this. I always thought he was on the wind up and just arguing for effect but at the end of the day hes been willing to bet on what he believed in.
