  1. Dont forget the members benefits and discounts http://www.nusc.org.uk/benefits.php
  2. I Agree - but they appear to be taking any criticisms towards them into account. Its a new thing, so it'll take a while to set up but i'm possitive that, provided it keeps going, it'll be a strong supporters group. They're clearly in it to change things for the better, so if nothing else, they have my support for that. Yes, they do, I agree. It's amazing how normal language sounds really offensive once you're in the public domain. Nobody's going to take the NUSC seriously until it learns the language of diplomacy, at least in public. Saying that, most often they get it right, it's more at the begining when they were venting frustrations that it came across wrong. It's hard to live those reputations down though. I agree totally which is why some of us got our way and changed things round. Moved away from the confrontational aspect and went more diplomatic. As for your post CT then apologies but even you must see that almost everything you post is a direct argument against whatever we do, if we call for protest you argue it should be talks, when we talk to those in charge you make it out as if we were standing there offering the bloke outside yet the stuff you're quoting from says nothing of the sort. We can and have taken criticism for stuff thats been done but its getting fairly tedious when even the good things are picked apart by the same people time after time. Make no mistake there would not be these discussions and the Journal interview if the NUSC did not exist. As for the calling for us to be free so more will join well strangely thats what Llambias says as well, now why do you think he says that? is it because he wants us to be a 10,000 strong group? or because he knows that we will have neither the funds or more importantly the credibility to make a change? Oh and Asprilla I agree totally about the amateurish comment, plainly and simply because thats what we are, none of us are experts in these things, none of us are used to producing press releases or working out how to take on a massive company. What we are is passionate about the club and what we believe in, passionate about setting up a proper supporters club and dedicated to making it work. If we could wake up tomorrow and all the shite around the football club was sorted and we could get down to just organising the other supporters club stuff then Id be a happy man but we cant. For now this is hanging over us and needs to be exposed. If it ever achieves change at the club then great but if it doesnt then at least we will know we tried.
  3. If we're lucky! 2nd bottom is my prediction. And by that time our confidence will be shit to shit.
  4. Yes, if you jailbreak the phone (piece of piss, see elsewhere in this thread) and then download the modem app. Its fast as well, when I had router problems I used the iPhone off my main PC and you couldnt tell the difference. Only problem is you cant charge the phone at the same time (some daft bug) so it drains the battery, maybe 1 hour or so use at a time. I've never had a problem charging it while using it as a modem. I use PDANet to connect, don't know if that makes a difference. hmmm thats what I use, they must have fixed the bug
  5. Seems a bit harsh like, tho I could see them charging him by the joke. I hope to fuck its a fortune per punchline then
  6. Theres nothing wrong with taking a de facto adverseral position - I remember having a chat with Mark Jensen a few years ago outside Upton park (deciding whether to go in as the game was on the point of being called off) when he asked me what I thought of The Mag - I said it had become too much part of the establishment and gave the club an easy ride - he replied that we had nothing to complain about (at the time) to which I said theres always something. Even if Keegan was still here and Ashley had splashed the cash I think there would still have been a place for an "annoying" presence to keep the bastards in line - as it is I have no problem with hassling liars. Yes, but it aint a democracy, its a private business. You me and noone else has a "right" to attend or ask questions. And yes you can answer but as the fans we deserve..... bla bla bla whatever, but there are no mass demonstrations and only 1% of the match attending fan base are members of nusc so the club can quite rightly tell you to fuck off. In the spirit of "keeping your enemys closer" and all that, there are sometimes more than one way to skin a cat. These 4 members of NUSC currently have the chairmans ear, they are going to waste that opportunity by attending with an aggressive viewpoint and then writing whispers and gossip about james bond and the like. How long do you think he is going to come along and play handbags with NUSC. Either he will tell them to fuck off or just send a subordinate along. Just love irony Al baby In an unrelated post Alex said that Kid Dynamite had to be the biggest contradiction on here, he now officially isnt. You are clearly that, literally three weeks ago you were saying that the NUSC should become free and have 10k members to protest, that we should be protesting and nothing would be gained from talks. Now you say that we are wasting those talks, how exactly do you get that? those that went pushed on questions that the Thompson house journalists didnt have the bottle to ask in their extremely piss weak "interview". The dialogue clearly shows a non-confrontational attitude by the NUSC members yet the total opposite from the managing director of a club these people are fans and customers of. You wonder how long DL will continue to go to these because the NUSC is there, well the answer is at least one more than he would have done if we hadnt been, there was no intention on his behalf to go to these meetings, never has been even before the NUSC and always shied away since, its only through our forcing of the issue and getting ourselves on the panel that there ever was a chance of him being there. If you dont want him to answer questions on the state of the club or why we have a totally bollocks false accounting trasnfer policy then why do you want him to go? Because the meeting can happily move along without him, seeing as all that was previously discussed pre-NUSC days was "how can we sell more pies?" "what would make you buy an extra pint in Shearers?" etc. We got ourselves on there to discuss heavy handed stewarding in Level 7 (something that some people even attempted to slag us off for!). The word "contempt" has never been so apt yet you (an alleged member of the organisation) seems to see it as DLs right to treat that club like it doesnt exist, the use of the words "less than 1% of the fanbase" is remarkably like his putdown yet couldnt be so wrong, 1% is a fairly unheard of number for such a shortlived association. The FSF were amazed to find how many members we had especially as it was a paid subscription and the rate at which the organisation grows is enough to tell you that people are happy with what is happening. You seem to be intent on proving my (and others) original thought that you are a plant, paid (as per the very strong rumours) to supply misinformation and provide the clubs viewpoint. Im just interested to know how much its worth to lose your principles or for that matter actually pretend to be a fan of another club for money.
  7. Looking at the MA business model I think that as long as we stay up then the plan is working as far as the owner is concerned, cut costs, reduce overheads, slash wage bill, buy in cheap, sell at a profit. Thats not only the MA/ Sports Direct way but the stated plan of these clowns. Consolidate, sit in Premiership for as long as we can and recoup as much of the MA loan as possible then when someone comes along and wants to take us out of the shit he will make a profit. Even if we go down (which we wont because DL says we wont :rolleyes) then it just accelerates the plan, sell more and buy even cheaper. I fear for the future of the football club we all love.

  9. Woooooooooah roll back there fella? Louise Taylor's female??????
  10. There is no way that Ashley will get rid of Wise which is a worry, regardless of how hated he is or how well he does/ doesnt do his job the one thing that stands out is that Dennis Wise would appear to be bigger than this football club (which possibly makes it the only thing other than the cast of a Snow White pantomime that he is bigger than). Nobody should be that important and Ashley is letting personal friendships lead this club, that doesnt mean that KK is necessarily right for the job or even that I think the most important thing to do is get rid of Wise (which I do though) but that I wonder now exactly what DW would have to do before he was kicked into touch?
  11. Beg pardon? Oh well - if you see getting on the "ladder" as such a luxury it's worth busting a gut for when the same property is going to be worth 30-40% less in a couple of years and you can get a far shorter mortgage on it, be my guest. Even with the obscene interest rates on offer at the minute, you'd be daft not to rent. to some the need to be a home owner is the most important thing in life, its like a confirmation that you've become an adult (and thats not me calling KD its a fact of life) For me its the least important, I want to live in a house where Im happy, not something because its all I can afford. To live where I do now Id have to pay 3 times as much on a mortgage and thats after having to raise about £30k as a deposit, fuck me I can think of better things to do with my cash than that
  12. Apologies, Ive hunted and hunted but couldnt find anything so if Baggy can donate the £65 to JAWDs request here then that would be ideal > http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...mp;#entry586930
  13. I'll chip in with something however I shall now get a certain Mr Baggio to chip in with £65. Good luck fella.
  14. Speaking of DVDs I have the full match from the 69 Fairs Cup Final sitting here, not had a chance to watch it yet.
  15. Why does it matter? you'll only end up in McDonalds anyway, this way you've got three years earnings power ahead of your peers.
  16. 95% mortgages are hard to get hold of these days. Im with Zane Lowe on this one, renting is the way forward baybeeeee, at least during the current economic climate.
  17. Im not sure we offer concessionary rates for sheep
  18. "Toontasic would like to confirm that members never said they would knock seven bells out of anyone" Toontastic wish said members to know that anything less than seven bells would be considered a spat anyway and therefore not constitute violence
  19. Toontastic does not condone any sort of violence against the owners, management or staff of Newcastle United Football Club or its associated subsiduaries. No matter how satisfying it would be.
  20. Any excuse to dig out that 'Begbie-style' argyle sweater, eh pud? Damn it!!! theyve relaxed the rule, its Toon shirts all the way baybeee!!!! although I think my Farrahs and croc on right tit are the order of the day
  21. Yes, 100%, you know you're fucked when the Managing Director turns up for a meeting with the fans flanked by two journalists from the Ronnie. Journalists who then back everything said by DL and provide the arguments for him when he doesnt know the answers. Strange though isnt it that the statement has always been "we are unable to discuss Keegan due to legal reasons" the mere mention of his name getting disaproving tuts and a "look we cant discuss it at all legally" yet when it suits them they can put statements out about how he will be responsible for the lack of transfer funds. To be honest I reckon they know they have no case and are now looking to get the fans onside by saying future player recruitment will be the fault of KK.
  22. when you make it clear (as we've done) that you're not willing to pay the big wages then the next gazza is not going to have loyalty to us from the day they sign. First whiff of bigger money and they'll go. Basing your entire future solely on this will end in disaster
