I wrote to them at the start of February to cancel and asked them to ring me so I could use my card to repay the discount. I've heard nowt. Ive heard today about a bloke who wrote to cancel after they took the first months DD of £59.98, they have now written to him stating that he owes them the first years discount of £60.00 and threatening to take him to court. As far as he, me and everyone else can see he owes £0.02 (which Im sure Mr Llambias will agree would cost more to administer, seeing as £17 per season ticket is too much to administer according to him)

Seriously though, how is the Spurs ST going? Have you been involved in it at all? The Spurs ST has 5K members although there are a lot of scandis involved. They were also spawned from the action group....that helped out Sugar after the Venables debacle (see any similarities?). They quickly realised that the club involved them more, the less militant they were. Dialogue ensued and now they due have the senior managements ear. There has been accusations of the trust rolling over when the club stamps its feet but at least there is sensible dialogue. So what you are saying is that the Supporters Trusts do work and that in six months we've managed to get a fifth of the members that Spurs have in 15 years? cool

Arsenal Villa Fulham Hull Some small time club in Manchester. Stoke Spuds So thats seven Premiership clubs that have Supporters Trusts including the biggest club in the country.

Its not that far fetched tbh, from what I know, the idea was muted a while ago by a group of North East investors who wanted to buy into the club (something like 20 - 25%), using the Supporters Club to work with the fans. MA unfortunately didnt accept their offer.

That is correct, strangely NUFC seem to think they can go against the word of the government who are responsible for these meetings taking place and part of the rules of them is that the minutes have to be made available for all fans to read. Which is a totally understandable and valid view, it's that repayment of the discount that is the issue. To me it's right and proper that it's repaid. How the club goes about these things however is as usual cackhanded.

this is the 1st stage in what is a longterm thing and chances are that it wouldn't involve Ashley as I think everone acknowledges that he will sell at some stage in life. Now is more about getting the necessary procedures etc in place and working toward the day when it could happen. The man u supporters trust has something like 2.5million sitting waiting for the day that they can buy in. They are ready for the chance and hopefully one day we could be in that position.

It doesnt surprise me at all and I fully understand those that dont want to go anymore.
