Toon bid hopefuls backed by New York firm
peasepud replied to Geordiejihad's topic in Newcastle Forum
I think the should have given away the fact I was taking the piss. hes a proper poster, I have no memory however of him every being ITK before this. Like I say though, people read stuff on some totally unrelated forum or website, check the forum they go on and see its not mentioned then they post some ITK on the hope it turns out to be true. Not saying David Icke has done that however I can safely say that he doesnt work for the club and as far as Im aware isnt high up in SP or some other associated type company. More than likely a friend of a friend of a cousin of a friend has told him something they heard from the cousin of a friend of the bloke that walks Shearers dog. Worryingly though is your propensity to be taken in by the slightest hope of a breakthrough, using your own logic, we can have no control over these things so why worry? let it all just slide on by and see what comes. -

My memory for names and their changes is crap but David Icke is a regular old skool poster going under some other pseudonym on here. One of the Washington lads I believe so frankly a makem WUM -

The thing is all these ITKs always seem to post about the actual story thats going on, never have I seen one come in with some groundbreaking, this will happen story to then have it confirmed two days later. This whole thing with the Yanks meeting the club on Monday, I didnt hear any Yank accents or see a stetson anywhere in the ground. What I did see quite clearly though was Graham Roberts, he was in town and he was at a meeting. Whatever else shite that he spouts, he was spot on wth that. -
tbh I expected to see. Michael Owen to Newcastle United fans.

I think a list of about 20 is probably right for the Premier League. I wonder where we would come if it was the entire football league? 92nd is my betting

And leicester are supposed to be one of the better...

Id wait til he'd done his stop, drop and roll and then piss on him. -
I think the fact that the main couple of people on the council are makems could change that view. Mind, Id be worried if I was in the boxes below, over 40% of the crowd in that level? each on average having drunk three pints? could be bother there like considering a good chunk of them are kids.

Dont mess, he knows the Krays. Ronnie'll be round to visit you in the middle of the night, put the willies right up ya
-
The thing is though last year was the club trying a heavy handed tactic to overcome what is a definite problem, if people persistently stand then the council do have the power to close the section down and nobody wants that. No matter how much you shout, sing, jump about its still the law and they have the power to do it. Everyone wants to hear a loud level 7 and frankly it has to take the credit for the good atmosphere so far this season but out and out provocation of the stewards cant be condoned and is just going to lead to a reappearance of last seasons bouncer led stewarding.

you having bother with the number? its 0191 5389781 hold on, isnt that a makem number???????

Tuesday's 5pm deadline means nowt as...................
peasepud replied to accadacca's topic in Newcastle Forum
Actually that's not the case. We can only sign out of contract players after the deadline closes. FACT! Edit: Except in cases deemed an emergency by the league. Whatever that means. Isnt it only for cases such as when all your keepers are in a car crash together or some such other highly unlikely scenario. It sure as hell doesnt count for "emmm I accidentally sold our last defender, what a clot I am. Can I borrow a couple off Chelsea?" -

that's the thing, anyone can see a basic story and then embellish it further, give themselves a job somewhere or say they have a mate who works at the club. Make a guess on what happens next and post that as ITK, should it come off then they're set. If it doesn't then a quick post intimating some secretive reason why not and the kids are creaming themselves for days thinking they're ITK -
Steve Howey on the Radio newcastle show said....

Taking a club off the market means fuck all though. If someone comes along and offers him what he wants then he'll snap their hands off regardless of it being on or off the market. -
Its going to be interesting to see our lineup tonight. A number of players "rested"?

Well I went, I ate and I felt ill

Not this Graham Roberts consortium crap again
peasepud replied to kingshearer's topic in Newcastle Forum
First I knew about it Bollocks. He doesnt speak for the Trust, yes on paper we see it as a canny idea and are making enquiries as to the members views on it but thats it, he doesnt speak for the trust, he sure as fuck doesnt speak for me and theres no way on this earth he speaks for our members. -
I didnt see plaice on the menu?

Not really, just the stuff through the NUSC, from the dealings we've had with certain prospective purchasers I know that they're not just in it for publicity. For all the shite that surrounds Roberts and the Fans410 bid there is a robust sound plan for purchase, running and squad improvement. Its just a shame that they've stuck GR out there to front it. Its like putting Stevie out as the PR man for a Villa bid. -
And do you think his strategy will be any different in the Championship? We will make a profit in every transfer window coming under Ashley until theres nobody left to sell for anything in the way of proper money. NO big players, no big wages no massive contracts. Then we'll be put into administration, with little football debts to pay off it will all come back to fat lad. But thats a different argument altogether. You still havent answered my question earlier CT, by saying you'd rather win a cup than promotion are you saying you would have rather done that in 92/93?
-
Every so often he gets linked with a move back to Spain, i think Atletico Madrid were mentioned most recently. But suprisingly none of their clubs seem to have put a serious bid in. Or worryingly, we could be sitting in a Given type scenario where 3 or 4 players know they're going its just being left to the last minute to move them.
-
No brainer, we dont stand a chance of a cup until we've been promoted and can restrengthen the squad.
-
Promotion gives us a far bigger scope for cup runs, winning the Carling gets you a trip to Wembley and thats it. Promotion gets you up there, do well in future seasons and we may just scrape a UEFA place, a good run in Carling is fuck all when compared to a run in Europe. I want Liverpool, Man U and Arsenal with the odd trip to France, Spain and Italy. Not Scunthorpe, Blackpool and Leicester with a trip to Peterborough or Stevenage as a bonus.
-
To put it into perspective though, you're saying you would have preferred to win the Milk Cup, Littlewoods cup or whatever the hell the thing was called back in 92/93 than get promoted?

Oh I'm not a fish wimp and would never consider visting a fish rstaurant to then order steak. Im happy to try something new, I love salmon so that would be the boring choice for me but I dont believe I like smoked fish so thats dropping the options down a bit, could be tempted by Lemon Sole maybe. And yeah, got the voucher although their £12 two course set menu seems good value too. two courses and a glass of wine for 12 sheets.
