Congrats mate, Ive ignored this thread as I thought it was about them little Nintendo Wii characters

Why is it that the two have to be mutually exclusive? I want the fat man out as much as, if not more than you do. I and the others on the committee have arguably done more towards removing them than you have yet because you now want something doing then you sit and slag us off for not jumping to your beat. Same argument as ever mate, if you dont join up then you have no right to demand anything. You want to protest then do it but a crisp tenner says I wont see you anywhere near SJP with a banner in your hand. Imagine this scenario, you see a house you really really want to buy but you havent got the cash and the owner really doesnt like you, you're in discussions with the big bank round the corner into backing you and a few mates with cash to chip in. Do you bide your time, pull the cash together and convince those you're dealing with that you can be trusted to own a house of that calibre? or Go round to the huse, smash the windows and tell the owner that you're going to buy the club and he better get the fuck out? Rocket science?

Barca, president voted in every three years or so and they assemble a board from there. Theres all sorts of rules and stuff that Im not 100% with but thats the basis of it. All however are ultimately responsible to the Trust, an overseeing body that has no no say in the day to day running but can call the likes of an AGM if the fans dont believe things are going right. By that I dont mean, we lose three games on the bounce and havent bought Ronaldo so we sack the board but in the event of us disasterously making stupid decision after stupid decision.

Oh aye but when I bang on about it week in week out Im a kiddy hating bastard! This is actually one of the first things Im personally putting forward if when we own it. Ball boys could be the difference between winning a game or not, in fact although Id not go as far as saying it would have happened, that additional point last season would have been more likely with proper trained ball boys who get the ball out quick when we're behind and take a little more time when we're not. Dry the ball for our throw ins, dont for theirs etc etc In fact Craig is going to be brought in as a consultant to train the kids on the old skool methods. As for the unemployed idea, I wouldnt give it to the unemployed as such but I would go for those that have taken part in community work (not the Joey Barton kind) in the last few weeks. Something along the lines of that Orange Rock Corps

They arent stocks or shares, thats what makes it fan ownership. If you sell shares then all you'll end up with is another Mike Ashley coming along when it suits them and buying up the shares. This is one member one vote, if you've invested £2500 or £25m you still get the same level of say and ownership. What you obviously get more for your £25m is interest, everyone gets the 2% but for some 2% will be £50 a year while others it will be £500,000. The scheme is aimed at all Newcastle fans home and abroad, theres no constraints on that. As in every investment theres a risk, there always will be. The difference as I see it is that we have a say ourselves in how big a risk that is. A football club makes money depending on its success on the pitch, we all know that. Sensible investment into the club with a good management structure and strong links to the community has a better chance of increased turnover than one thats lurching from one disaster to the next. The way I see it, my £25k pension is at the mercy of some investor who can and probably will make me more than 2% but who could at the drop of a hat lose a good chunk of it on a dodgy decision. At least with our football club we can see how thats going, can see when things are going wrong and can make our voices heard if its looking ropey. As for a local bank offering loans, who knows what next week will bring?

Ok, so we have a thread on how we're going to attempt a buyout and part of the plan is to install a president, selected by the fans to run the club. If you were installed tomorrow as that person, what would be the first thing you'd do? For me, Id raffle off the chance to operate the crane that will rip down the Sports Direct logo from the Gallowgate, sorry Sports Direct.com stand. I reckon we could make a few million in ticket sales alone, add to the fact we'd beam the whole thing live on Pay Per View and theres the running costs for next year sorted. What would you do?

He's not?? Here Alex man, careful Snakeys got a dodgy ticker man!

KD you are right to be wary, Id call anyone who was blindly saying "Im in" a fool. What I dont understand though is this "theres more holes in the plan..." statement, how? you've not seen the plan other than a basic overview. Wait until Monday and get the facts before trying to blow it out of the water however I can assure you that you, me and everyone else on here that isnt involved in high finance will have problems doing that. Its been pored over by the great and the good of pensions, football investment and the like and all want to be involved. None of the companies, banks and pension companies have come back and said "Im out" all have seen it as a workable and credible way of running a football club, more importantly all have seen it as something people would invest in. The sustainability has already been reviewed and we believe that there is a workable plan in place, this football club could sustain itself, theres currently 44k coming through the gates, we know that as a Premiership club, even a struggling one we can clear 50k every game (3k of which have to be taken out of the picture as theyve already handed the next 2 years money over to fatty). Theres no issue with getting the club on an even keel, smarter people than me (thats just about everyone then) have gone through the plan with a fine tooth comb and they are very interested in taking part. Theres also no reason why there has to be a limit on the numbers involved, as I said earlier, it only takes 8k investors to raise 200million, every additional 40 @£25,000 each gets you another million pound but results in an annual payout of only £2,000 in interest payments. Compare that to the £120,000 that we pay for each million of the overdraft and the figures start to look very rosy. This club has been in debt for years, theres nothing to say that under the fans ownership it wouldnt go into debt again, what is a definite is that under this scheme we wont go into debt for making shady deals, underhand purchases of South American crocks to keep agents happy or paying £30k a week to some cockney dwarf because hes a mate. Any debt would be because we were purchasing players, players who with the right scouting structure and management team would have a good chance of actually playing a game for us and not just sit on the sidelines for "PR purposes". Add in the other plans to turn the club into the hub of the community, bring it back to the fans overall and make it the focal point of the city. Football academies across the region, annual youth tournaments and working within the community day in day out will all help ensure that the local young talent doesnt go astray. Some of those will make it and go on to play for the club others would be sold on as promising players and recoup the outlay. More importantly it returns the feel good factor back to the club, that in turn increases ticket sales, shirt sales and other money coming into the club. The big difference between this and other share schemes there've been is that this is a long term investment not a quick hit on the shares market (which failed so badly last time). Its a vehicle for people to invest knowing they have a good chance of making a little bit of interest on it, at the same time as making a big difference at the club. Pension funds are things people put their money into and forget about, not check each day to see if its worth taking it out, nobody is going to get rich out of this plan, my £25k will probably earn me a little bit less in the long term than where its sitting now but Im lucky I have a good pension with work and can afford to move what is a small chunk of it into this. Maybe in time, I could look to move more, who knows? what I do know is that for what probably amounts to literally pennies when Im 65 I can be making a difference to the football club I love. Snakeys right though, if this works then it will be the most monumental thing to happen, not only to Newcastle United but British football. We are being watched closely by the world of football here. There are a number of clubs dying to do this but waiting for someone else to step up and go for it, Liverpool, Man U and others have been looking to buy their clubs for ages, now they're desperate to see if we make it, all are interested in the method though. If it works then all the fans will be hailed for years to come as the people who saved this club, if it drops miserably and becomes a total abject failure then there a dozen of us who will be mocked but what the fuck? we gave it our best shot and failed, as long as nobody else is out of pocket then theres no harm done. If you dont have concerns about the scheme then you're a fool and can just bung your cheques to peasepud at toontastic and I'll make sure theyre put to good use. The rest of you though just need to read all the stuff that will be coming out, go speak to one of the financial advisors we are employing and get the full info and what it means to you personally. Then go and speak to financial people you know that you trust and get them to confirm that its not some scam. I would hope that nobody blindly follows us in this, I havent. Even though I know everyone of the people involved at our end and trust them I read everything I was given before committing my backing to it and more importantly committing a chunk of my future. I would hope you all do the same, if you're happy with the idea but cant afford to invest on your own then look to get others involved and make up a collective, even if you just cant get involved at all then please back it with your support.

I think it's a 4D image rather than a tradition scan pic. Pud? It sure is, have to go again for a 2nd one though because the little bugger wouldnt show his face, had his hands up in front of it, feet up there at one stage oh and then he turned round, licked the wall of the womb and scratched his nads. Thats my boy!

We already have £27m before we've launched with some big players still to announce. Im not involved in the planning of this but I would have said that all deposits are just that, deposits, the person making it can change their mind and withdraw and if it doesnt happen then yes, you'd get your money back. Thats what I would hope to see happen, once the details are announced on Monday then we'll all be able to read the small print before making any decisions. Dont get me wrong, this could more than easily fail but theres also a lot of backing of it from some major players in the financial markets, pension companies, banks etc who are looking to use it as a vehicle to invest in (same logic though, one member one vote, so we wont suddenly see Prudential or someone saying "we own 51% of the club so fuck you"). Its time to see what happens, back it however we can. For instance as I said there'd be no reason why a hundred of us on here couldnt put in £25 and buy a slice. 50,000 people at £2,500 I agree is "difficult" to see happening, 5,000 @ £25,000 pension slice more than realistic. That in itself would buy the club and pay off the overdraft. Make it 8,000 investors though and you've suddenly got a £75m player fund. Add the other means of investing, the big names who stick in a million here or two million there and you are looking very capable of getting to £300m.

First ever pic of my son, my own flesh n blood and what does he do to his old man? Why you little........

I guess you failed to read my post then.

The whole plan aims to raise between £200 and £300m, purchase of the club, payment of debts and working capital to get us back up there and running successfully. theres going to be a number of ways to invest, one of them being by handing over £2,500 of actual money, others include the pension investment (which is the one Im personally going to be using because it doesnt involve pulling any actual cash out but moving pension around). Obviously many, many of us dont just have a spare £2,500 we can invest in our football club and especially to get a return below what we would in a bank but at the same time, knowing that you are getting a return on your investment in addition to owning a chunk of the club is very tempting. Its each to their own and the full information will be available for everyone to see and make their own minds up. Theres going to be financial advisors opening up in the City Centre allowing people to walk in and discuss the options and whats best for them. Nobody is expected to just put their hands in their pockets and hand over the cash, its got to be done based on whats best for you. Theres also nothing stopping groups of people, supporters clubs, workplaces etc, chipping in a hundred quid each and raising £2,500 between them to give that group a voice. Importantly though, whether you invest £2,500 or £25million you get the same voice, 1 member 1 vote.

tbh Ive had the promotion of Sports Direct as being Ashleys aim from the very start of buying the club. Sell lots of football gear in stores, link stores with football club, tell football players to win League, rake in profits from club and additional sales in stores.

I think you've all missed the important point, the screen is going to be positioned in the Directors bar so fat cunt and his mates dont have to step out with the rabble, oh and it will be showing live screenings from White Hart Lane so they dont miss a second of the action.
-
Probably being picky here but how come Llardarse always refers to the club as "it"?
-
full of shit, I thought every penny was going to be spent on players? A giant screen showing Sports Direct adverts in between long lingering shots of the fat man will surely be enough to put most people off a half time pie.

tbf to Fatty #1 not selling to Fatty #2 wasnt really an option due to the Halls already screwing him over.

NUFC not for sale + Hughton awarded 18 month deal

Tom_NUFC put a post in the petition thread which I think a lot of people missed. Theres stuff going on behind the scenes but it does appear that as far as the council are concerned then its not a case that Fat Man can sell the name off and reap the rewards. This is why we've been saying to take our time and not come out all guns blazing, if these things can be sorted without SSN doing their usual "call him a fat wanker" on one hand and then going "ooooooh dear, they called him a name" on the other then everyones a winner. The basis of the belief is that the Freemen of the city own the land and have final say over anything such as name changes, any money made from that change would actually be owed to them and not fat man. The council have (I believe) already contacted fatty to let him know this fact. Gawd Id love to be a fly on the wall when he opens that letter -

It's for that reason alone that I reckon he came knocking on our door in the first place - seen how for generations we'd put up with shit, always in the boardroom and often on the pitch yet still we packed the place out. A new approach is needed - quite what it is remains to be seen. It'd be better coming from a 'united' front which would ensure that we won't simply 'go away' when the press find something new to talk about. But then again we still have to make a stand individually - how many of you can put your hand on your heart and say you've not put another penny Ashley's way since Keegan walked out? I don't include those of you who signed up for the 3 year deal - your transaction took place before and as Gemmill says, no sense in cutting your nose off to spite your face. How many have bought something in a Sports Direct store in the last 14 months? How many have bought a programme, a pint, a pie, a mars bar, a geordie jackpot ticket or anything else from within the confinds of SJP over the same period? How many own any one of the current replica shirts? If you have, you've put cash in his pocket. If you want to affect Mike Ashley, that has to stop now. Money is all he knows about and yes, he'll try and sell the crown jewels but lets be honest, he's going to do that as well as take our cash, not in spite of it.... The man is so self-absorbed, he couldn't give a fuck who we are or what we represent. Nor will he stop selling our soul if we don't take action. Play nice and big Mikey will stop being so nasty? I don't fucking think so! THIS ; Personally , i havent bought anything , been to a match ( despite having bought the season ticket last season ) since Sir Kevin was constructively dismissed ... shame 44 000 others didnt think the same way , cos the FAT CUNT wouldve been long gone by now. zero pence spent here, no pie, no pint, more importantly no replica shirt (although he did me a big favour with that banana shite, he then ruined it with the nice blue striped version), I now drink out of a Richer Sounds mug at work because my last toon one was broken. Only difference is that Ive used my ticket, three years paid for and personally I dont see how not going will hit him in the pocket. If its for the greater good, if I know that by not setting foot in the ground then those that buy match day tickets will not go then fair enough but personally I think that currently you not attending is a wasted protest. Hes got your cash, he doesnt care if you go or not. At least by going then the chorus of "get out of our club" will be that little bit louder. -

I dont belive that, ot saying you're making it up btw just as Alex says his "PR machine" (he really should disband that) would have been making out that its all Freddys fault. I honestly now think that any outstanding transfer amounts will not be paid. Hes seen what the FA have done to Portsmouth and thought "gettin, a ready made excuse for no purchases in January".
