Aha, open to bribery eh Uncle Tom, come over and I'll buy you 3 pints of.................

You constantly speak with forked tongue too. I may have criticized Rafa's starting line-ups and his late substitutions, but never constantly slagged off Rafa.
-
Alex, you're the sort who constantly speaks with forked tongue.

Howay man, if Bruce gets the job, any sensible Newcastle supporter will want him to do well regardless of what they think of him as a person, his managerial record, and his granny-face. YES we want rid of Ashley, but in reality we want our team to do well and avoid relegation, move up the table, and whoever gets the job should be given support, whether you like him or not.
-
At the minute I don't care who we get as long as we get someone, we can't go on rudderless, we're certainly up a creek and need a paddle or two. We've had some, and suffered some, dodgy managers over the years so chill out, the devil you know could be better than the one you don't. If it turns out to be Bruce(I don't think it will) we have to give him a chance and our support just like we should whoever it turns out to be. The boos can come later.

Regarding boycotts; with a concentrated full support boycotts can send a message but I doubt one match would be meaningful at best short term. I think it would take more than one to ruffle Ashley's manky feathers. Asking all supporters not to attend a home game is a huge challenge to their heads and hearts, but to provide an alternative, like somewhere where they can watch the game on the telly could be a satisfying alternative providing it could cater to thousands, pubs aren't the answer. If possible, set up big screens in places like parks etc, providing of course if it's possible to do and screening or streaming is available. Just a thought from an old expat supporter whose sell-by date has expired, best-by date expired, expiration date not listed but has to be approaching.

It would appear that we are the one and only Premier League team that has NOT signed a new player yet FFS. Must admit NUFC are akin to a mystery novel, a comic book, and a whodunnit non-fiction journal.

shouldn't thebrokendoll be taken to the dolls hospital for repairs?

So, with Perez gone, Longstaff maybe going, Darlow maybe going, Joselu hopefully going, Hayden wanting to go, what realistically do we have? Dubranka, Elliot, Woodman. Yedlin, Manquillo, Schar, Lacelles, LeJeune, Clark, Fernandez, Dummett Shelvey, Ki, Ritchie, Colback. Muto, Gayle, Murphy. Am I missing anyone of value who might also be sold to further enrich Ashley's play money?

Is it true that Nolan now has a good chance of being Rafa's replacement and will appoint Andy Carroll as his assistant if he gets the job?
-
I think they are awaiting the DNA test to see if he is related to Benitez. Rafa coddled him like an offspring didn't he?
-
Sadly, there are many unemployed managers out there who lack the ambitions of Rafa and would take the position at Newcastle just to get off the dole and be prepared to suffer under the Ashley/Charnley miserly dictates. There will be others who see it as an entry into the Premier League team management. No doubt Rafa's replacement will come as a surprise, if not shock.

I propose and second, that I should be put forward as a potential applicant for the Newcastle job. With a massive effort I'm sure I can be like a puppet on a string to Mr. Ashley's liking. With great effort I could be a believable teller of terminologicalinexactitudes the Ashley way. And, I'm sure I could fuck things up, piss people off, and generally make a cock-up of most everything relating to the Club's growth. At 86 and wilting, I am the perfect person, and I will work for nowt as long as there are perks like a 24-7 female carer who will see I always have plenty of Sherbet Lemons. Put it to a vote.

For a while, I fostered high hopes Rafa would stay, but in reality, deep inside, I knew it would be an unfulfilled wish. I just knew there would be no compromise made between Rafa and Ashley/Charnley. Question is; what magic trick is Ashley going to make appear from up his sleeve or out of his top-hat. Another Kinnear or McClaren?

Gracias y adios Rafa, vaya con Dios y buenos suerte mi amigo.

I can't help but think that the way this scenario is being dragged out, Rafa will probably reluctantly leave because of Ashley's dilatory approach to reality, and Charnley's ineptness in doing business. Can't help but think the take-over may be mythical because of no concrete evidence that there has actually been a bid made. If an offer of 350 million has really been made you'd think Ashley would snap it up and laugh all the way to the bank, and the takeover would be progressing swiftly. If the Sheikdom are for real, and have made an offer, you'd think they would be making overtures to keep Rafa on board, but no gossip leaks as there usually is.

NO I FUCKING SHOULDN'T YOU TWIT.
-
I said 'his staunch supporters', didn't say that included me.
-
Frankly I'm a bit disappointed in Rafa!! With the frustration of this ongoing Ashley/Sheik/Benitez saga, I think Rafa should be keeping his staunch supporters more in touch with his position. We deserve more credible information from him than the gossip we are getting from the media and wannabe pundits.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Aye, and England has to resort to using a California girl as No.1 keeper, and she is shite. -
Don't know why Barkley was on the pitch for 90 minutes, he should have been yanked at half-time. I think Stones and Walker have huge ego problems, they think they are better than they are subsequently making mistakes. The Dutch were far away the best team, England were woeful at times, too many times.
