Dunno about her previous tbh, was talking about what she's said here. If she said those comments about mothers then obviously they're wrong. -
Funny board that. Is it fan run I presume?

Does anyone white here really find what she's said offensive? Really? Honestly? Or is just that she's said the word 'white' and it's given you an excuse to backlash at 'PC gone mad' agenda? Telling that armchair penis (often one of the few to back Leazes lunatic ramblings) has picked this out. She's commenting on one of the ways that black people have historically been oppressed. Yes she wasn't that specific and it was ill advised but it's clear to me she wasn't demonising all White people. I find White people (especially the fucking Tories, for whom 'divide and rule' has been their MO for as long as they've existed) accusing a black woman of racism in this context frankly disgusting. -
Liverpool reaping what they sow, very sad. Much more of this and FA charges must follow.

Nearly right.

It says Virgin Money update, not a replacement shirt. They're only going to put a sticker on it. It's the current home strip anyway regardless of sponsor.

I think you have to go a bit further for sun at this time of year.

Expensive but very very effective imo. Imagine all the press coverage, actually globally that they would receive. Now we are getting near 50,000 fans at the stadium each week, who all want to see SJP return. But how many are there out there that don't go to games? There must be hundreds of thousands of fans that would be over the moon with virgin money. If they did it, Id be more likely to use Virgin for things, more because of what they would have done for us. All football fans up and down the country (except the mackems) would feel a positive 'emotional relationshop' because of the selfless thing they would have done. Virgin Money would be the savours of tradition and heritage in football, and more in the North East. I don't know..I'm guessing that the only place that virgin sales would possibly be damaged would be Newcastle itself, which would be balanced against the increased revenue nationally/internationally from branding the stadium.

Look, I've come here for an argument!

The club are incredibly fortunate if they escape this without a reprimand. Maybe they've been threatened with one so that's why they're not appealing, although I think their continued stance on this should not be a reprieve. "We as a club are accepting this appeal because we fully back the FA's stance on stamping out racism. But our player who by his own admission repeatedly called a black man 'negro' did nothing wrong and is completely innocent." It just doesn't make sense.
-
Liverpool aren't going to appeal the 8 game ban, but are still maintaining Suarez is innocent, as is the player himself. Trying to do the whole 'bigger issues are at stake, we'll be the bigger man' moral high ground stuff whilst still whining like bairns. Suarez still adamant he's done nothing wrong. FFS, how many times does he have to be told you simply can't call black people 'negro' in this country. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16402384.stm

Kluivert's a bit different from Perez/Dumas/Fumaca - he wasn't some no mark we'd never heard of, he was a big name - just one that utterly failed to make an impression here.

Paul. 2nd best of the Pegg/Frost trilogy IMO (behind Hot Fuzz, I think Shaun of the Dead is okay but struggle to see why it is SO critically acclaimed. -
On here the other day somebody mentioned Kluivert. It took me a while to understand the reference as I'd completely forgotten he played for us. Similarly, I lost a bet with my brother because I couldn't believe that Bellamy played for West Ham before he went to City. It's funny how famous and memorable players can have so little impact on the memories of fans. I'm sure I'll forget that Owen played for us in 6-7 years or so.

Blu ray version looked great. My mate had the normal DVD and it looked fine to me. -
