I can see your point. To those saying "idiotic", would you have rather stayed up in 2009 or gone down and won the cup? We've not suffered too badly since then. Of course Balotelli is a ridiculous man so the possibility remains it was deliberate but it looks highly unlikely to me in which case the referee couldn't send him off, which he didn't thankfully.

I thought the Balotelli 'stamp' looked completely accidental, it would take incredibly skilful footwork to do that deliberately especially whilst falling over.

I've not been a member of a proper gym since I moved house last July - just using the one in my apartment block. Whilst it's very convenient, it only has resistance machines and I've missed the feeling of shutting my legs in a car door after doing squats. Joined one of those budget gyms ('The Gym'). Also started getting the train to work and running to/from train stations (about 4 miles a day - not a lot but it's more than sitting in my car) as well. Throw in teaching twice a week and training two/three times a week and it's all go here...

Bah, jinxed myself, I was woken up by my flatmate coming home from his date last Monday. Although I managed to fall asleep again(they weren't particularly loud) I woke up later on just in time to hear him come. A memory I will carry with me to the grave.

Lovely work by Best for the goal. Only saw the first half, but it seemed like there were several decent balls into the box that nobody got on the end of, almost like we were missing someone... Obviously easy to say that with the knowledge that Ba is away but it looks like it's going to be a massive problem. With his goal today Best moved into outright second place for goals scored in the league for us, having previously been tied with 'own goal' on three each. Makes the lack of another striker look like an enormous handicap. Still, like I said, lovely work by Best, just hope he's got a few more of those in him over the next few weeks.
