  1. He should ban them from his press conferences. They're going to do their best to hound him out anyway, he might as well get his own back.
  2. Nice to seem them justifying booing a victim of racial abuse.
  3. I think a problem we face if such retrospective punishments were introduced (which I doubt will ever happen) is that the FA, FIFA etc have been so blinkered in their support of their officials that touching a player in the penalty box (oo er) is now deemed an offence. Just look now on SSN when they have a ref to review the weekend's big decisions, even with the benefit of replays they very rarely disagree with a penalty decision so long as there is this magical 'contact'.
  4. Perhaps but if it was all retrospective then this wouldn't be an issue. You're not righting the wrongly given penalty there and then but at least Ashley Young might be a bit more vertically stable if he knew he'd miss 2 games when he'd inevitably be found out.
  5. A major, major problem with diving and refereeing in general in this country is the cast iron assertion is that the referee's view of an incident should be upheld. The FA refuse to go against the decisions, presumably in the belief that it would undermine the referee and therefore reduce their credibility. This is of course nonsense, it only goes to undermine the confidence in the referees and the FA further. What needs to happen is a change in thinking, to admit that referees are human and can make the incorrect decision - this may be through no fault of their own, as we often here they do not have the benefit of multiple slow motion replays. But WE do have that benefit, so let's use it and ban the divers like Young and rescind the stupid red cards like Derry. Obviously it would be ideal if this was all on the spot, but even some retrospective justice would be better than the farce we have at the minute.
  6. I couldn't see the picture last night, I was certain it was going to be of Viz's Cockney Wanker. Disappointing.
  7. Yep that's what I mean, struggle out of the group stages only to get a dry bumming in the first knockout round.
  8. Bold move by the FA. In a footballing and financial sense Hodgson is the right pick. In a political/image sense Redknapp would have been the right choice - despite his dodgy dealings/trial. The thing is, I doubt (hope I'm wrong of course) that the footballing advantage will mean much with the players we have - as others have said although it would be great if we used this tournement to blood the next generation, Hodgson has come in too late to really force that - he could do it anyway but I just don't see that happening - so we're stuck with Lamps, Rio, JT Stevie G etc. We'll get to the quarters perhaps before being torn a new one, the media will crucify Hodgson, force his sacking and denying him the chance to rebuild. It might have been more prudent to let the media have their way and have Redknapp take the poisioned challice of the tournement then bringing Roy in afterwards.
  9. That's pretty much it. The only thing that matters is the welfare of the team they support, fuck principals and everything else.
  10. You're not speaking out against climate change, you were saying our season was a fluke based on one bad afternoon. We can all get a bit menstrual when things don't go our way, just admit you were acting like a toddler on their period and we'll say no more.
  11. And people want Leazes banned...what a fucking waste of bandwidth.
  12. It's interesting that now Allardyce is now roundly criticised for playing awful football, even if West Ham are doing ok-ish (still in with a chance of promotion) when we were universally slated for the exact same, even if the media conveniently overlooked the fact that we weren't doing very well at all.
  13. I don't know what's happened to The Fish but he's posted some really well thought out stuff recently, without the pomposity, contrived metaphors, similes and over elaborate vocabulary that were a hallmark of any posts longer than a couple of lines. Maybe he's growing up.
  14. I find the arguments against banning him and alternative solutions to doing so as irrational as the ramblings if the man himself tbh. I've not engaged with him in months, and I'm fed up of this shit but I don't blame Gemmill etc for this, the admin should take responsibility.
  15. Nah she was pretty tidy tbf. Of course thats a sample of one though...
  16. Her rationale was she only did it to guys who were genuine boyfriends - we never got to that point, I wasn't gonna be held to ransom and besides she bored the tits off me. And of course I did, that's what you get for being a gentleman eh.
  17. I was seeing one for a couple of months last summer, it didn't last. Mainly because she droned on and on and on with that bloody accent. Wouldn't have minded as much if she put her mouth to better use but she didn't even do that.
  18. Was it last year or the year before where we played them at the Stadium of Copyright Infringement and a magpie came onto the pitch and they all started booing it/throwing stuff at it?
  19. Very, very good. KSA - White Hart Lane is pretty close to the London Chest Hospital so he'd have probably gone there anyway. I think the doc helped stabilise him once they arrived but I'm not sure he had an angioplasty, I'm certain he didn't have an operation. Tbph I'm not even sure what interventions he recieved other than good critical care and thereaputic cooling that he would have got in any other hospital, including my own which is a small district general as opposed to a specialty tertiary referral centre with a fancy dan name. I'm not trying to do the guy a disservice, he obviously helped Muamba a lot but I'm not sure how much a difference him being at the match would have made - him running from the stands to assist is a good subplot of the story that people have picked up on for obvious reasons. Still, I suppose being treated by a consultant cardiologist on the scene then being taken to a specialist centre wouldn't have harmed his chances, and I wasn't there, I'm only hypothesising, I did say potentially.
  20. Both teams had doctors pitch side as well, as well as paramedics (who commenced CPR). I think the importance of the chance presence of the spurs supporting cardiologist has been potentially overstated. Especially if one of the above docs was an anaesthetist.
  21. I've got better hair. And at least I'm in the team, Andy Carroll.
  22. Wear a low cut top, a short skirt and have 'trouble' finding the gear stick. Tony is short for Antonia right?
