Got back from Spain today after a brilliant week at the Benicasim music festival - like Glastonbury, but in the sun, with a beach to go to during the day. Saw some brilliant acts - highlights were Lemon Jelly, Devandra Banhart and Radio 4. Oasis were on top form as usual too. If you like your music, or even just a good holiday, you could do a lot lot worse. Just a bit gutted I missed all the excitement at Edgbaston! Anything else pass me by?

I've already answered this on GM's questionairre, but: Phone - its got all my friends numbers in it. Having broken my phone at university I have realised how dependent on it I've become. Minidisc player - as long as I have some music to listen to I'll be okay. Pants - being arrested for indecent exposure on the same night my house burns to the ground would be taking the piss.

I'm sick of "political correctness" being seen as this manevolent evil force that is responsible for all the worlds ills. I read a story in the metro that a man wasn't allowed to sweep sand from his back yard onto a beach, as authorities were worried the beach would lose its blue flag status. He said "this stinks of political correctness". What the hell has political correctness got to do with sand on a beach?!

This is not confined to women - one of my male friends possesses 20 pairs of trainers. And no, he isn't.
