  1. My gran died a few years ago. Cos she was a Serb we had this ceremony at her graveside 6 months on as is tradition. Anyway, I was driving to it with my mum and this bint in a micra or something is tailgating me despite the road being a 30. As is my habit I started swearing a bit at this, and my mum objected: "stop it, STOP IT! Calm down. And, on a religiously significant day like this, I'd like you to not swear like that" I realised she was right, felt gulilty and was drawing in breath to apologise as the bint dangerously overtook me and screams off into the distance, to which my mum said "SILLY CUNT -ohmygod!"
  2. I'd like to think they made at least one draft though "come on you bag of twats, let's go to the cunting village!"
  3. Even if the entire squad are wiped out by typhoid/swine flu/gayness (insert [wahey!] your own Xisco joke here).
  4. At half four on a Wednesday afternoon? For shame!
  5. My brother did jury service last year and they couldn't.
  6. Prometheus. Stylish, well paced thriller but too many plot mysteries to be a good film. I've read a few blogs which attempt to explain everything but it's all just conjecture.
  7. Not that I'm disagreeing with you, but City clearly want him involved, he's not exactly hogging the limelight uninvited.
  8. Anybody reckon Terry will/should face the prospect of losing his job if he's found guilty? As I and I dare say many of you would be if we were.
  9. Bit low to be facing reality again. after my grading that I posted about last week I've had an awesome time - visited my brother in London for his birthday, saw some exhibitions, met my girlfriend's family, visited my grandad, trained in my black belt for the first time, and rounded off with a stag weekend in Berlin. Epic. Now I've got all sorts of shit to sort out and I'm on nights tonight after being off work for 2 weeks. Going to see Prometheus in a bit so hopefully that will cheer me up.
  10. Haha is that true? What a fucking cunt.
  11. As someone who doesn't really follow cycling but with a general interest in sport, to me Lance Armstrong is an example of outstanding athleticism, stamina and endurance. If his extraordinary physical achievements were false and all down to magic beans then the world needs to know.
  12. He's obviously very good but the other three are on another level. Seeing how he needs at least two of them to have an off day in a tournament I think he'll struggle to win a slam, certainly while Federer is still playing. Plus the pack of Tsonga and Ferrer are starting to catch up.
  13. Happy birthday, I hope you're wearing your best blazer.
  14. There wasn't much cuddling on Saturday, it was more defending myself from being punched/kicked/bottled/stabbed/throttled etc and looking cool as fuck whilst doing it. Cheers Gem. Never got a mouthful but there are some sweaty badgers out there. A guy I train with is sopping wet after the first five minutes - his gi (training gear) tends to be somewhere in the magnolia range rather than the original white.
  15. Elated. After a frantic, violent 3 hours on Saturday and many more training over the last 2 years I graded to shodan (black belt) in Jiu Jitsu. After the grading there was a black tie ball where I was presented with my grade, I got absolutely smashed and partied into the wee hours with my club, my fellow graders, my friends and my girlfriend. Then a lovely morning in Bath yesterday followed by a jaunt across to London to celebrate my brother's birthday by watching the football and getting leathered again. Now got a week off to recover. Weekends simply do not get better than this.
  16. Apologies, no malice meant. Stevie once racially abused me under the misguided impression I was Italian so I feel your pain. I am quite immature though.
  17. In an interview in his autumn years, the great Don Bradman was asked how he'd fare in the modern game of cricket. "Oh, I reckon I'd average about 30 or 40" "is that all?!" [The benchmark for a very good batsman is 50, in his playing career Bradman averaged a shade under 100] "Well", replied Bradman, "I am in my eighties!"
  18. Spain to spicky spacka the wops on Sunday.
  19. I'll slightly modify my previous post - if you find it boring than that's just what you think. But I just feel that this description of them passing everywhere but forward and never trying to score is overstated. They are trying to create, but without bombing forward gung ho and then losing possession. I'm not a Spain/TT fanboy or owt, I know that it's easy to have impressive passing stats when you're passing it five yards every ten seconds. I do find it a bit frustrating when they take a short corner and fourteen passes later it's back with their keeper. But this idea that they're anti football and don't attack is an easy one to perpetuate without being that true. I think that teams who have tried to emulate them, without being as good at it have contributed to this belief. Mention Swansea on here and what do you get? Jokes, scorn, some sort of inverse snobbery about how the game should be played. Spain are the masters of this style and just keep on winning.
  20. What did you do to make him miss SLP?
