  1. Thanks for that Captain Obvious.
  2. On a similar theme, Orwellian - they look 19 from behind, but 84 when they turn around!
  3. Swamp donkey is my favourite, or whilst on the beach etc, sea monster.
  4. If there's a family history, relatives are often offered screening or surveillance tests. That's how my friend was diagnosed with bowel cancer (aged 27) early and was able to be treated successfully (so far, touch wood).
  5. And the seven who died when Columbia was destroyed, the three who burnt up on the launch pad in Apollo 1, the thousands who died in 9/11, and the half dozen gunned down in Colorado. As I've said before, I'd find Wolfy (and conspiracy theorists in general) if they didn't callously disregard the lives of those lost and the effects on their families.
  6. Tbf he's not actually said that. Chemo/radiotherapy and having your bowel/oesophagus/breast/testicle ripped off/out is nasty business indeed and nobody would choose to have them if they had a choice other than succumbing. Cancer is a horrible, horrible disease though so until we can prevent it or fight it in other ways then you'll just have to take the chemo that rots your innards or the radiotherapy that makes you infertile , or the major surgery with all its complications. Life may be a bitch but death is an absolute cunt.
  7. Just got home from nights. Got in the tiny lift in my block and secreted some very odious farts heralding the arrival of some heavy duty RTs, doubtless stimulated by the foul excuse for coffee I forced down to stop myself nodding off on the motorway. Next thing I know three massive coppers squeeze in, they're looking for someone and are asking me my name to see if it's me!
  8. Heard that Sunderland were sniffing around Berbatov. Didn't he used to idolise nufc/Shearer? Thoughts?
  9. Argh had Clarke on the mind for obvious reasons. Laudrup's then, although that makes it slightly less poetic. fuck it, Clarke's West Brom above Rodgers' Liverpool? Btw if Rogers is sacked mid season with Liverpool below West Brom/Swansea I'm claiming that.
  10. Whilst we're making snap judgements after the first round of games.. Swansea looked a lot more incisive than their tiki-crappa Barcelona-lite stuff last year. Liverpool looked all at sea, uneasy with a new style of playing. Clarke's Swansea to finish above Rogers's Liverpool? You heard it here first..
  11. I love how formal Wolfy is sometimes. Before this gets to fifty pages I'm saying here and now I'm not getting involved as it's obvious from the few posts in here that medicines and their distribution is clearly one more thing that Wolfy just simply does not understand.
  12. Agreed, and I think it's this detail that makes Galloway wrong (whereas otherwise I'd think he might have a point). The woman only gave her consent on the condition that he covered up - without doing so, he lost her consent. Mind you now that I think about it a similar happened to a female friend of mine - although she wasn't asleep the second time. She didn't think she'd been raped though, she just thought the guy was a twat. What I do think is a bit odd is them demanding Assonge has an STI check. Surely this is a matter of his own health so it's not really the law's business. If the woman is worried (which she clearly would be) she can be checked herself (which I bet she has).
  13. And Tiote's passing may have been confident but it was still abysmal. I think I'll give your tactical analysis a miss.
  14. I've had a pet cat die and I was sad, but nothing on the same scale as losing my grandparents. whenever I see the posts on here about pets dying and people saying things like "my thoughts are with you, it's like losing a member of your family" my immediate thoughts are is it bollocks, it's only a fucking cat.
  15. I'm sure he does, but Chelsea could quite possibly turn his head. The fact we've signed Anita (over more obvious areas we need to strengthen) could indicate Tiote might be off.
  16. Good question, why would anybody want to sign for the European Champions, playing in one of the world's best cities, famous for having money falling out of its arse?
  17. I agree. Especially on a naan bread. Delish
  18. Haha but not as soft as that penalty! Get in! Bit of funny business between Ba and HBA over who to take it, thank fuck he scored!
  19. Boom, what a goal. I was thinking earlier that it would be great for Ba to score today after his barren six months. Brilliant!
