  1. Ah, so this is the reason I can read the general board but not this one whilst at work. Would the mods be so kind as to delete these (the original and any that quote it) please?
  2. I know what you mean. But whilst not beating Reading or Norwich were not catastrophies in isolation, the cumulative failures against them and others has left us in a perilous position. And if we keep squandering these opportunities (hopefully less likely after our recent turnaround) then we run the risk of being relegated. Sure, we don't HAVE to beat Southampton today, but we do have to win at some point.
  3. Lincoln last week. Was okay. Carried by DDL as you would expect. Not the most thrilling of plots although the vote itself was curiously tense. Zero Dark 30 tonight.
  4. I generally agree, but it's all relative though isn't it? To go from regular cup and title winning to fuck all since 2005 is a crisis of sorts no?
  5. You lot are going to fucking love this, but the longest stretch I've done is 48 hours. Up at 8 Friday to wait for a plumber who left at 4, gym, dinner, A&E night shift 8pm-8am,home pick up kit and drive to Sheffield for five hour Jitsu course, home, dinner and an hours' kip before heading off to work again, got to bed about 9am Sunday. Obv no drugs (Coffee/energy drinks aside).
  6. Reminds me of those posters that say something like "the best British comedy since Most exotic marigold hotel", ie the last one.
  7. My life's just dandy thanks. I suspect yours might not be if your cage is rattled so easily.
  8. +1. So long as there are dorks like Fish lapping them up they'll keep coming, sadly.
  9. There is a lot of hyperbole about Bale but I think some of you are swinging a bit far the other way. Clearly a lot of his effectiveness is due to his physical attributes but he does have a great touch and can certainly keep the ball at his feet when running at pace. He's not just about knocking it past a player and legging it. Btw have been on nights over the weekend so not seen the goals but I can easily picture Coloccini failing to deal with a bouncing ball against Bale. Certainly wouldn't be the first time.
  10. I thought Brave was OK but yeah, not a patch on Pirates (or indeed any of the more impressive Pixars).
  11. I'm deeply suspicious of the concept of buying 'squad players'. It implies the buying of players who aren't as good as our first XI and will sit on the bench. The problems with this are that the team doesn't get better and it will be difficult to persuade players to come here if they know their chances of first team football are limited. To improve our squad we need to sign players that challenge the first team, otherwise what's the point?
  12. Think someone posted about that at the time. Love Zokora's hoofing through Emre.
  13. 30k seems like a lot but it's only right he had a lovely watch to go with his lovelyhands. I'll get me coat.
  14. Nah I'm not swallowing this shit. The way he's going on suggests our poor performance this season was due to a series of freak occurrences that nobody could have predicted when the world, his dog and most people on here in the summer could see that the squad was crying out for reinforcements.
  15. A (car wash!) place near my parents' home used to boast "we give the best hand jobs in Nottingham".
  16. My brother and I are applying for it.
  17. That's flawed logic. I'm certainly not as worried as I was.
  18. Mmm I still disagree. Everything else in life you choose to believe based on the evidence you have available. With faith, there is no evidence, there is nothing to weigh up, so there is no choice.
  19. We all have a God-complex, didn't you know? Faith may certainly be a man made complex but that doesn't change people can simply change their beliefs at will.
