  1. best wishes to sir bobby. hope he's ok.
  2. who should we be going for in the summer. i reckon gudjonssen, javier maschereno and d'allessandro. reason for gudjonssen is he can do the lot and if he stays off the pies he's a class act maschereno is the best holding midfielder in brazilian football and is playing a starring role in an excellent team d'allessandro is a class act.
  3. best holding midfielder in brazilian football btw. good technique. good buy. after all makalele has been chelseas best midfielder for the last 2 years. and yes i know lampard plays well but he's only a glory hunting midfield goal getter. and he goes missing against great teams.... he vanished against barca...
  4. rooney will be missed very dearly by us, and the point several of you guys have raised is about match fitness. rooney when fully fit is possibly the best attacking force in europe coming from deep ( with the possible exception of Ronaldinho who is his peer). the trouble with this injury is he will not be able to run and we all know how much ground he covers for england.. its a really big loss. and a shame. question is who else does sven pick. owens going, as is crouch ( for some reason), i personally think ashton should go as he's technically a very good player playing in an average team, defoe has an attitude problem and though i think he's a good premiership player he's short of being world class. bent is probably not quite good enough yet but is learning and has made the step up to the premiership look easy. we really have no one else that can do rooneys job. we ain't winning the world cup this time chaps. it ain't happening.
  5. making a racket on my new moog voyager synth. going out with friends in surrey tonight.
  6. good news if its true. now all we need is a target man for him to play off. and a new defense thats decent. and more creativity...
  7. Nicole Scherzinger is nice but a bit skinny. she's the singer off the pussycat dolls. oh and keeley is a bit fit but from what i gather a bit of a bike ( few premiership players have given her the salami already) and fearne cottons not bad, i'd offer to give her the biggun if she asked nicely.
  8. old poster? i've only been here 5 minutes...
  9. I'll tell you what lads. I'll start a game of FM tonight as Sevilla, and set up a series of pre-season friendlies against the mutants, and let you know how I do. I can't think of a more scientific way to predict the outcome of the final than that. 129090[/snapback] used em on superstar soccer and they aren't bad, theyve got that midget argentinian lad whose a bit useful saviola, and a couple of other players that aren't bad. i think they'll beat the chemical brothers. i really hope so.
  10. i thought we were £72 million in debt because of him.... taking cash and spreading it around his offshore accounts... money tied up in bricks and mortar --- what a load of bollocks. this club although being managed reasonably well is going to go to the wall unless we stop buying overpaid overrated injury prone shit and old stagers that aren't quite as good as they could be. just my 0.02$
  11. he won't leave... he's been good for us when fit.

crouch gives you an option though. if he beefed up a bit and tried getting his long legs working then he would be a good target man. as it is he's one of the better ones in the league without being out standing. thats why he's going to the world cup.... shola for me is scoring and is a tricky old customer but his strike rate when playing purely up front reminds me of some of our lesser players (paul kitson etc) where in the premier league you need a 20 goal a season striker we currently do not have that. owens never scored more than 18 goals a season in the premier league. shola if playing would probably get 10-15... food for thought but i'd rather sort our defence out first...
  13. not bad at all. as a fellow music producer/ keyboardist / all round good guy, this is very good. sadly my version if i did one would be a little too electronic ish and aphex twin like. don't think that'd go down to well with the footy supporters!...
  14. some Boards of Canada and Massive Attack and my own stuff....
  15. the guys a cocknocker.... no one will trust him ever.... (note this opinion does not reflect that of the board who want the c**t fired).
  16. thats the trouble with this club... its the directors and the managers relationships. bobby robson did really really well until he sold solano, as he got the best out of a variety of goodish players and misfits that would have caused havoc at most clubs. souness tried ( in my humble opinion) to rule with a rod of iron and for players like bellamy and dyer thet does not work. he also made several very silly signings. the best thing we can hope for is that the manager that comes in is given a free reign over the place, but listens to the locals... and i really do not want sven (no plan B....) there... we need a new defence, the midfield needs reinforcement and up front we're thin.... time to get rid of the dead wood and get some free transfers that are hungry.... and want to win..
  17. i really really hope he chooses us over anything else. to take a team like leicester to 2 or 3 cup finals and winning most of them and getting that team to where it was in the league is nothing short of class. the man was also a legend at celtic (uefa cup finalists). and wherever he's gone he's done the business. we need a good manager, and bless him roeders done well but as soon as other coaches figure out his tactics ( which isn't tricky ) we'll slip down the table quicker than west ham in his second season...
  18. owen's always looked after no.1 our scouse friend remembers 2002 when he feigned injury for just over a 1/3 of the season in a bid to be fit to play in the world cup finals.... this time tho he broke a metatarsal... so we can hardly blame him. i also hear he has a massive gambling problem and will be sponsored by victorchandler next season. if we are to go forward we need to build a team round him though,as he is by a long way the best forward we have there when match fit.
