Then we do. I believe him to be weak minded in his acceptance of Islam. Particularly in that he was convincd by an Arabic religion that white people invented Slavery. Ok, that's taking one little thing out of context to prove your point imo. Much like the quote from the Koran in your signature (and other isolated quotes from religious texts people use to put forward one particular view on a religion). In any case I'm sure there are lots of people who have converted to one religion or another who are not weak minded, even if I don't agree with their beliefs. Like I said we will disagree. To be convinced beyond all the evidence to follow any religion is bad enough. To follow one which has a history of misogyny and intollerance is beyond imagining. My signature is there to show the utter hyprocrisy of religion. I think we've got our wires crossed, my main point was I disagree with your generalisation although it's probably often true. I hate generalisations in general Cool Generalisations are all false. Scientific fact. I

Weak minded idiots need to belong to something. Another version of a gang. Generally have problems in their life they don't have the mental capacity to deal with by themselves and don't try counselling or shrinks. Bit of a generalisation imo, would Malcolm X fit that profile? What about people who move from one denomination to another over a single issue? Etc. Yes Malcolm X fits the bill. Converted in prison when life was sh*t needed to find a sense of belonging. Moving to a different denomination isn't converting really.

I feel stalkerish PMing people without their permission first.

What did you think of the show on Saturday and where were you sitting?

It seems football management is a job for life. He hasn't really astounded people with his managerial capabilities.

Is "compared to Micky Quinn" the missing part of that sentence.

Aye, I remember that, against a weak side; think he'll show a lot more when he's used to the style of the Premiership. Speaking of pace, I thought Bellamy looked like he'd lost a yard of pace against Chelsea on Sunday. Am I the only person absolutely delighting in Liverpools misery? Saying that they will now hump us this week.

So you're speaking to someone who calls themself a historian. You chat about some stuff maybe the decline and fall of the Roman empire and the frustrations of the dark ages when they say. I don't believe the Holocaust took place. What do you do. Just stand upa nd say goodbye or slap them?

Shepherd Interfering In Transfer Dealings
Kevin Carr's Gloves replied to Gemmill's topic in Newcastle Forum
Sounds completely plausible and evidence that Shepherd's interference is what is causing a lot of our problems in transfer windows. Perhaps he thought that if he blocked Roeder from bidding for Huth that he would finally cave in on deadline day and agree to go for Freddy's preferred choice of Woodgate (the bigger story, the prodigal son returns, Shepherd gets to talk about his great relationship with Real Madrid etc. etc.). It would also possibly explain Roeder's silence following deadline day - better to fume silently than say something you might regret. I'm making leaps here, but I don't think they're beyond the realms of probability. No doubt LM will be along later to post something completely random along the lines of "so you're another one who thinks there's a bottomless pit of money are you?" He's better than McKeag youknow. -
Pope: "Muhammad has brought only evil and inhuman things".
Kevin Carr's Gloves replied to Happy Face's topic in General Chat
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Mohammed an incredibly rich land lord who disappeared into a cave for 3 days, claiming he had met the angel Gabriel. Yeah, right. Islam has always been spread by the sword but then so has christianity. Actually there is no historical records of Mohammed of the time he was around (There is a good word to describe that but I have forgotten it). All writings about Mohammed come from around at least 100 years after his death. So people can't say he was this or that with any degree of certainty. Regarding the writing of the Koran though, iirc, it is supposed to be transcribed directly from the orations Mohammed gave in Mecca which came directly from the word of God he received via the Angel Gabriel (Djebril {sp?} in Arabic). The truth of it, therefore is supposed to be that it is the direct word of God/Allah. As for Mohammed's wealth. I believe it was his first wife (Kadiga iirc) that his wealth came from (I think she was a rich widow). Yeah she was. The first word of the q'uran is Read Mohammed said he couldn't and the angel gave him the power to do so. This proved it was the word of god. Of course we only have his word for that. He was a respected moderator between factions before this and was 40 when he got given the word. So I find it hard to believe he couldn't Read. I believe he wanted to unite the poorer people unhappy at the time. Which he did. The Arabs wanted their own Messiah and that is what he gave them. -

So did Mohammed tell people to spread the faith with the sword? -
Where did you make that figure up from? What's your point if you actually have one? What is so hard to understand about where the money to support football clubs and their employees come from, be it players, agents, directors or program sellers? It all comes down to the fans. Where else? The bank loans, the stock market investors, the corporate customers, the Sky Premier league collective contract. Try and read the whole thread and you might understand The £600 is to counter your point about merchandising. If every ST holder paying on average £600 a season doesn't cover the transfers and player wages, how does an extra few quid on shirts and pies make a difference? Not to mention as you point out all the other costs in the club. The bank loans? Wtf are you on about? They are what they are - loans - to be paid back by profits paid for by paying fans. Stock market investors buy a stake in the club and are then paid back in dividends, again from money made from the fans. Sky collect their money from all fans, a sizable minority of which are Newcastle fans, who are primarily paying to watch their club. Corporate customers could also be described as rich fans paying for entertainment. Most of them will have at least some support for the club though. I still haven't got a clue what you are on about with your £600 mechandise figure, perhaps someone can enlighten me. The bottom line is that it is the fans that provide the income that keeps the club running, not some generous gifts from the city, the bank, or Sky TV. I doubt even LM would deny this. You are confusing the money paid directly by fans and the money generated by the club as a financial entity My money as a consumer keeps many organisations solvent, I sure as hell can't claim ownership of them I reiterate, ST receipts (£600 per fan per year) don't even cover tranfers fees and wages Bank loans are secured against the stadium, and are repaid over decades, sometimes even outlasting the original regime. Investors are not fans. Dividends have been paid at the expense of fans, actually causing a loss not a profit. Sky are not fans. Sponsors are not fans. Corporate customers are not fans. Well that made a lot more sense, but then I never claimed the fans had ownership of the club. They are what makes the club though, and without their money the club would obviously cease to exist. Also, whilst the ST receipts do not fully cover transfers or wages, they account for the single biggest income of the club, do they not? And in fact what should give us an advantage over smaller clubs. Also without a good fanbase how many sponsor ship deals and investment bankers would be knocking at the door. They only do so to make money. Who from. The fans.
