  1. The point is whether or not the comments were racist. Well IMHO calling someone a Negro out of anger is racist. It is a comment meant to hurt. It's not nigger, though, which has definite negative connotation. It'd be the difference between Pakistani and Paki, I guess. So where is Negro then. I know calling someone a Pakistani is saying where they come from. How does that equate to Negro? Negro essentially means the same as black. It's in no way derogatory. Paki means someone from pakistan so I am assuming you dont think that is racist either? Negro is neither Turkish nor English for black so why use it. It was a stattement based on someones race intended to cause emotional distress. Its like saying Brit or Pom reallly? Not racist at all but the PC brigade get off on turning England into a police state where even a slip of the tongue can fuck you up So when people were sing "I would rather be a paki than a turk" they were just pointing out they would rather live in Pakistan than Turkey? Many more blind eyes being turned here and we will have to organise a braille forum.
  2. Why? because their league was proved to be fraudulent and fixed. The clubs involved were punished though. And to strip them of the World Cup win because of the actions of some fans would be grossly unfair too. Security and policing at Italian legaue matches needs to be seriously looked at though. Ultras control some of the gates into the grounds at places like the Stadio Olympico ffs! If all the clubs involved were really punished I will eat my jeans. To have the same political influence in football that Italy does while at the same time Greece was threatened with international suspension because of it shows the hypocrisy that is at the heart of FIFA and UEFA. So what, they punished the really big clubs and let the lesser ones off? Righto. The Greek issue was a completely different one too. Political interference is political interference. I have nothing against the Italian league but neither am I a huge fan. They have not been treated like a smaller nation would have been treated. The racism in the game is swept under the table. FIFA never mentioned there crowd trouble when warning others about it. I just think they should have been properly brought to brook for the way their league is run. What political interference? You saying Burlesconi never interefered.

  8. Dunno about that, James is the most talented English keeper of his generation, the only issue being his big game temperament. Robinson looks pretty average and has for a while imo. Is talent the same as shite now then? Being able to pull off amazing saves while at the same time being unable to deal with crosses of any kind or organise a defence or distribute the ball properly. Don't make him talented.

  10. So will ROeder be his usual hypocrite self and back his man even though he tore into players making racist comments. I think so because he is a cock.
  11. Should have their world title stripped. Which they shouldn'y have been allowed to compete for in the first place IMHO.
  12. One of the most incorrect statements ever. Look at Souness made the same mistakes at NUFC he did with the Huns. Look at the Americans. How many Vietnams do they want. Non interference policy my arse. Look at Bramble. People can be srial mistake makers. Maybe he isn't making mistakes. Maybe he has a psychological need to hurt us. Perhaps he was bullied as a kid and is taking millions out of the club at the same time as presiding over our fall from grace. (And it is a fall from graces no matter what shit leazesmag spouts. When he took over we were firmly one of the top 4 clubs with millions coming in. Now we are a mid table club if that trying every year to scrape into the uefa cup with inter two bob acceptance.) to get back at someone from his past. One thing is certain. He is not doing everything in the best interests of the club or the fans. To FFS FFS will always come first. Ask his wife and all those hookers.
  13. I prefer cyclists its more fun getting the horse to fart right in their faces.
  14. First game back with people settling into postitions. Will destroy Italy and then Ireland is the real test.
  15. You haven't seen Alexander the Great then. Oim emperor of the world to be sure.
  16. Cath gets back from France on Saturday. I'll be directing her to your comments about nurses. You can expect to DIE at the next pissup you attend. Just realised I haven't seen hips around for ages
  17. Adam mate, you've done this before (comparing the management and strategic planning in your company to that at NUFC) and I can't help but feel it's a sackable offence. But you can apply economic planning to football management. One of the main areas of Economic study is the control predicament. The scarcity and choice conundrum. The idea being there is finite resources with a number of entities wanting choice. by taking this into consideration if you know you have a short time in which to exercise the end move of a deal you should begin the deal as soon as possible. As has already been pointed out the Transfer window is for the conclusion of deals between clubs. Clubs can contact each other at any time about the possibility of a players availability. Scouts can go to games at any time to watch players. A well run club should have had for the 2 months prior to the window opening scouts at games and been in contact with clubs who have players of a high enough calibre in positions needed to instigate negotiations. By waiting to start anything until the window opens. Or in the case of our summer campaign six weeks after it opens. We shoot ourselves in the foot and reduce our operational ability. Yeah I know all of that. I'm not saying that we shouldn't be doing that. I'm saying that comparing strategic plans at big successful companies to those at NUFC is like comparing apples and oranges. 5th best oranges on average tbf. Yeah those Apples were just a selling fruit
  18. If he bought Crouch and Ferdinand I would have shot the twat.

  20. sol campbell is the very definition of headless chicken. How many teams succeed by continously signing players for 1 or 2 years? And where are his club?
  21. I really shouldn't be laughing at this as much as I am.
