Can I ask why you believe he earns time? What do you think he can do with the team. I must say I am impressed with what he has done in the background but what kind of team will we be? Is he trying to make us into Bolton who over achieved to get to the uefa cup. Do we not want to be challenging higher than that. Or do you thinks we shouldn't be challenging that high?

To play devil's advocate where did Keegan learn to be a manager before taking over here?

Bob Paisley ? Joe Fagin ? Somehow seems to have been strangely forgotten when the media wank themselves into a frenzy over great managers.

There are a couple of tossers on it but otherwise it's good.

We are going to get bum fucked.

I said from the first second that Souness would not work.

Joe Cole is the biggest (smalest also) wanker in the team. Every time anyone went near him he went down as if shot. He made C Ronaldo look like a paragon of footballing honesty. Cunt.

Sounds to me like you've had a lucky escape mate. Surely there must have been signs? Get on the drink for a while with your mates and see if you can get hold of any loose..anything to get her out the system. P.S Kick her in the fanny from me when you see her When I did that to your mam you dropped out! How old are you? Wouldn't get sick of stamping on your head tbh, irrelevant of your age, does that make me a bad person? Be my guest, you'd have to get me on the floor before you could stamp on my head tough lad You are a cock of the highest order.

For me the idea is a great one as I am sick of taking 3-4 books on holiday and finding space for them (I buy too many hardbacks). However for $399 and in the independant today he said don't expect the price to fall any time soon. He can shove it up his arse. -
Complete and utter sympathy for the family RIP and I dont want to take this off the topic but...... .....is that a euphamism?

Lippi and Jol turn down Birmingham
Kevin Carr's Gloves replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
No it's not. Newcastle has a capacity of 36,500 and that was the attendance every week. Spurs can't fill theirs, you would think a team new to Europe would be able to fill their ground for that too, but no 22,000 against top Spanish opposition the other week, as I've said nothing club, shit fans, supported by a few southerners and a few Irish Robbie Keane arselickers. I seem to remember the odd empty seat in some of our sojourns into Europe. -
Allardyce overachieving at Newcastle
Kevin Carr's Gloves replied to Happy Face's topic in Newcastle Forum
None of the big 4, but almost half our games have been against top ten opposition...which is where we want to be...realistically. Aye but we have won less than half our games. But have double the points that we had at this point last season. Whilst I am not impressed with some of our performances/team selections it is an improvement. I can see where you're coming from but if you look at it more scientifically we are a big steaming pile of shite playing the most god awful hoofball the world has eva (not just ever) seen. -

PR machine and radio done good, you mean. True, it's a right bind when you go to HMV for the new Einstürzende Neubauten CD and those industry bastards swap it for a pop album when you're not looking. Popularity is no measure of artistic merit. But it generally can't be achieved without it. People buy their music because they like the sound of it, not because they've been told to like it. Leona was marketed the same as other past winners were, yet hasn't flopped in their style as she actually has talent. Joe Dolce, Mr Blobby, Keith Harris and Orville, Crazy Frog, The Spice Girls, The Tweets et al.

Well I certainly don't agree with you there Mr. Fish, that's tatamount to saying if his first season proves to be a disaster we have to wait another season to get a better picture of what effect he has on the club. I don't think Dinnis, Charlton, Ardilles, Gullit, Dalglish, Roeder, were given two full seasons to get a true picture of their effect on the club so why on earth are you saying Sam should. I dearly want Sam to succeed to some degree at Newcastle this season but if we finish in the bottom half of the table that's effect enough for me to realise we haven't got what we paid for. So, despite utter tripe for the past few seasons, finishing in the bottom half, this man needs to finish... where for you to support him? 10th 9th? What exactly must he achieve in his first 12 months to warrant support from ye olde timers? I'm saying stop condemning the man after 12 league games in charge, not postpone all opinion until half way through the following season. 12 league games for Gods sake, and hardly a week goes by without one key man or another being injured... it's preposterous to expect him to have made wholesale changes to the coaching regime, the training regime, the mindset of the club, the mindset on the pitch, the formations, the attitude and to do all this under the most disproportionate pressure in the Premiership. We're a mid-table club, we have been for years, we need to stabilise before we assault the summit. Your ridiculous impatience is the very reason we've lacked a firm foundation to build anything upon. We're light years away from Man U and Arsenal and to expect that level of performances from these players is crazy. We're rocky at the moment, sure, but the way people are carrying on you'd expect to see NUFC propping up the table, with no wins and now goals scored. Get a fucking grip! at the very least give him four games after the January window closes. Four games to bed in any new players he's signed, four games to bring his changes to the club, four games to really make a push for whatever position we're aiming for at that point. To be playing a coherent system which suits the players at his disposal and for said players to be totally comfortable in the system they are asked to play. And if the system is not working then for a coherent plan B be available for him to implement with the smallest amount of change possible.

it might not lie, but it certain;y doesn't come close to disclosing the full story either! Very true, but ultimately, it is the only statistic that counts. Only if we are to gauge success over one season and in the league alone. We HAVE to wait a couple of seasons to get a true picture of Sam's effect on the club I don't disagree. I think I might. I am unsure as to why in Football you have to allow someone to under perform for 2 years before intervening. Also don't know why (not saying this has not happened) but Mort or Ashley have not pulled SA in and said the performances have not been acceptable what do you plan to do to change that.

Exactly people expect miracles, ok Allardyce has made some strange decisions in his short time here but it seems people who expected instant success or weren't too happy with his appointment have used this and blown them out of proportion. We were left in a mess after our last 2 managers destroyed us, we have signed a lot of new players (which the majority I am happy with) and Allardyce is trying to get the team working to his methods. Barton being out hasn't helped as although he isn't exactly Elano in the creative stakes he will (when fit, another one who some have been quick to jump on) will link up midfield with attack a lot better than a Butt-Geremi/Smith partnership would. We are 12 games into the season and 5 points off 6th placed (which I would be more than satisfied with) Portsmouth who we have a game in hand over. There are lots of things we can improve upon and a few more players are needed but we certainly arent anywhere near the stage where we should be contemplating the next manager. Keep chopping and changing every time things arent great and we will never move forward. Damned by faint praise. For me this is SA's worst sin. He should be trying to find a system which works for the players not trying to force a system on his team. Suppose its worked for him so well in the past he doesn't see why he should change it. He has probably signed most of the starting 11 anyway so I assume he looked on their abilities to play in the set up he uses.. Because he moved teams and he didnt sign Owen, Emre, Milner, NZogbia, Taylor, Given and Harper and seems intent on changing Smith into something Alex Ferguson didn't manage.
